Had a fantastic night at the masons arms tonight for my wife's 50th birthday. I would highly recommend this venues private room for a party the food was excellent and all the staff went above & beyond to make the night extra special thanks to you all great value for money
Just been for coffee it was lovely nice atmosphere and great surroundings will go again maybe a meal next time
We often eat breakfast at The Masons. The staff are friendly and attentive. The food is great. We generally opt for the breakfast Mason Muffin, this is currently served on a small plate which makes it very difficult to deal with. This is a small personal preference though, and doesn't detract from a great visit. We haven't stayed at the Hotel as we live in the area.
We've never stayed the night being local, however have visited numerous times for a wonderful cooked breakfast. Everything tastes fresh, and I'm to believe it's all locally sourced. The food is really tasty
Restaurant and hotel is located in a quiet lane. Nice ambience. Service was very much like what other had reviewed. When we noticed customers after us getting their food first, we alerted the waitress. She assured us food will be served soon. Total wait time for our food was abt 50min. We were pleasantly surprised when they offered us a complimentary glass of white wine, which we had ordered. They politely acknowledged their fault and slow service.
Table was dirty when we were seated, even though they weren’t super busy and would have had time to wipe down beforehand, however this was wiped down as soon as we asked it to be. We came for lunch and it was delicious, and decently priced too!! Would come back again for breakfast/lunch as the vibe was nice.
We sat at the table outside for lunch as we were with our dog and brilliant weather. Staff changed the dog water and friendly. Decided on club sandwiches and coffee which were cooked to perfection with great ingredients.

Just stayed here on a golf weekend and have to recommend it great rooms and breakfast but most of all the staff are excellent 👍
Would definitely recommend! Enjoyed a lovely Bottomless Brunch at The Masons Arms.
Food was great and reasonably priced. They catered for dietary requirements: Peanut allergy and Gluten & Dairy Free. The staff are amazing we were well looked after by Alice, Ali, Ben and Jess. Will definitely be going back.
It was my partners 50th birthday this week and we decided to spend an evening in Louth, we were recommended to stay at the Mason's Arms and what a great place it was. Perfect location, free parking a few minutes away, the most comfortable bed with a great sized room, modern bathroom and a lovely view. Surprised to see a nespresso coffee machine in the room which made an awesome cup of coffee and nice cold water in the fridge. Breakfast was really good, perfectly cooked and plenty of it. The staff were really nice. Highly recommended. Thanks Neil & Nella (Small Beer)
An elegant hotel, centrally located on Cornmarket Square. Room was spacious, bath modern, with a nice view of the market clock tower. The breakfast options (included with the room) were varied and delicious, and the staff were helpful and accommodating ... especially Alice (the onsite manager during our stay). Highly recommended.
Fantastic place for breakfast open from 8am. Very pretty to sit in with great quality food and a load of different choices. Perfect for anyone visiting the town who needs and early bite! Usually quiet there in the morning too so the food comes pretty quick.
Overnight stay. We were initially put in a room right next door to a party in their function room, but we were found a quieter one when we asked. Character hotel. Comfortable bed. No food served after 4pm but some good suggestions were made for places to eat nearby. Good cooked breakfast options but nothing like cereal or pastries. Parking free in a carpark a few minutes walk away since the roads around the hotel are pedestrianised, it would have been easier if this had been explained in advance.
Went for restaurant but it was closed so had bar food upstairs.
As my friend and I have various food intolerances/allergies, so the young lady serving took a list of our no can eat items to the chef and returned with a list of foods in menu we could eat.. nothing was to much or any problem. Food was delicious as was the Mocktail (which we asked for a shot of vodka in) and all was value for money. The other young lady on duty was very supportive and helpful too. Big thanks.. Friday 26/08/22 around 7pmish....
This was a work meeting with food, my food was OK but as we ate during a seminar I think it had been stood warming a while. This was the same with our dessert mine was OK but a colleague had waffles and struggled to eat the edges as they were very hard. I'm sure if we were in the restaurant and the staff hadn't had to wait for us to finish a presentation it would be lovely.
