Very nice well run village pub restaurant. Various guest beers and lagers available and the food menu is varied with a good specials board, all at very reasonable prices. Staff are very pleasant and the food is freshly prepared and served in good time. Local Grimsby haddock on the menu is very good.
Due to a surprise visit by friends I took advantage of the takeaway service for Sunday lunch. I had tried ringing to place my short notice order but they didn't have time to answer it being 2230 hrs. So took advantage of their suggesting sending an email. They even responded that evening advisi
First visit for a good few years tonight had drinks and tea just before kitchen closed, was great service and prices and the food was really good too, there wsd a good variety on the menu all at very reasonable prices.
Very friendly pub. Staff were lovely and welcoming. Lots of indoor and outdoor space with some outdoor covered seating too. Special offer on fish and chips on Fridays. Pity they only had one real ale on the go when we visited - bit surprising for a free house but the one beer was good.
We popped in for lunch after watching seals in the Donna Nook nature reserve. The staff were friendly and food was yummy. Most of us had Fresh Grimsby Haddock & chips and it was delicious. The batter of the fish and the chips were crispy and not greasy. The Hunters Chicken was also very tasty.
Went for lunch on wedding anniversary. Been before was very good.
Let down this time. By poor chefing.
1 Where was the tomatoes in the prawn cocktail all cucumber and lettuce.

3 Not sure why my dessert got forgotten. Reminded the waitress. I ordered apple
Amazing atmosphere, music loud enough to hear but not overbearing. Staff all look happy and well looked after by the owners.
Told the bar about my gluten allergy and they went above and beyond to accommodate. Food came in good time, was cooked to perfection and portion sizes are very generous. Woul
If passing a nice place to stop off.
A good size seating area outside under cover if required. Plus another smaller open air area.
Basic pub food menu during the day, but a different evening menu.
We had the compulsory fish and chips. Very nice and reasonably priced.
Good selection of beers, ciders,
Chips tasted of stale cooking oil. Otherwise, the meal was good. Have visited this pub on several occasions, and food and service have always been good. It hasn't put me off returning in the future. Parking is limited.
The specials mixed grill and the Axe ribs awesome great value and tasty😊
Lovely atmosphere, good food went on Thursday pie night great value for money and delicious food. Lovely staff very friendly and helpful. Will be back.
Whilst on Holiday we were looking for a good place to eat and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious and service was friendly and efficient. Booking is recommended as probably close to 80% of tables were reserved when we walked in. Price was reasonable with most mains between £10 and £15
Web site not accurate. Called in Monday evening with dog. Told not allowed other than in bar. Did not serve food on Monday get a pie from the van. No thanks. Attitude of bar person abrupt and unfriendly. Will not go there again.
Pub is very nice to look at and clean inside, food was cooked lovely and very tasty. Chips where sublime. Staff are warm and welcoming. All in all a very good atmosphere and a good price

From the minute we arrived the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. They were prompt to make sure we could get dad's wheelchair in, and accommodate the dogs in the bar area with towels to sit on and treats to keep them occupied. Orders for food and drink were taken promptly and th
