The food was very delicious, all the staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Although we haven't booked in advance and we were 8 of us, the girls have accommodated us shortly. The dog was also welcomed. Lovely gardens and kids outdoor play area. Definitely recommend them, as the food came relative quickly, taking into consideration the fact that it was Sunday afternoon and they were extremely busy. There are plenty of car park spaces at the rear. Disabled parking/ toilet facilities.

This was our visit to the Ferrers Arms. We received a warm welcome on arrival and managed to get seated slightly early which was fantastic. After reading the menu I went straight for the rib eye steak. I opted for medium rare and that’s exactly how it was cooked. Definitely in the top 3 steaks I’ve had to date! My other half went for the pie option. Again, the description was perfectly fitting and cooked perfectly. All in All absolutely delicious!! Thank you and we look forward to many future visits

We had a lovely experience with waiting service which is my preference. We were celebrating a birthday but it was subdued due to a death in the family. The meal out allowed us time to come together as a family. The team were brilliant and nothing was too much. The food was lovely as well, and you could tell it was freshly prepared. We had a lovely experience.

Highly recommend this establishment We came to this establishment as we were passing through the area. Great choice of food exceptional menu and prices. Great choice of wines spirits and beers. The establishment is dog friendly and provides dog treats dog paw washing facilities, great local walking places for humans and dogs. They do doggy tea afternoons and doggy breakfast days. The staff member Steph was exceptionally helpful friendly and informative. The management should be proud of her for reflecting the professional standards you will get here. Clean friendly warm and welcoming. I live 30 miles away but will 💯 be visiting again. And big thanks to the chef for the great food...

Found this little gem on a business trip , coming up the A42 . Feeling hungry and I hate motorway services, I pulled off hoping to find a decent pub. The Ferrers is more than decent! its brilliant!!! great food, great price and perfect service from super friendly staff. Highly recommended, I'll be back!

After visiting for a family meal on Wednesday after attending my sons grandads funeral. I throughly enjoyed it I decided to book a table for tonight with my partner. Well from the moment we walked through the door to when we left we had an amazing time. Our server Leo couldn't do enough for us. He was so polite and helpful as I had forgotten my glasses, he went through the menu with me taking his time. The food was above and beyond. I had the rib eye steak, being a connoisseur of steak I can honestly say it's the best steak I have ever eaten in my life. It was Cooked to perfection. The desserts were so tasty. When it came to the bill I was shocked that for the standard of the food and service it was a lot lower than I expected. I have eaten in many restaurants all over the country but this is a real hidden gem of a place. I will be a regular visitor from now on and will definitely be recommending it to friends and family.

Lovely country pub that allows dogs throughout. I loved the small touches, blankets for dogs to lie on, free biscuits and water bowls. It was lovely to see dog items on the menu, which was a nice touch. Personally the only thing that knocked a star off was for the Sunday dinner, it was tasty but quite small portions. 2 tiny carrots, 3 roast potatoes, 2 roast parsnips, 2 slices of meat, 1 tiny stuffing ball, small spoonful each of red cabbage and mixed peas and green beans and a generous Yorkshire pudding. Gravy was minimal and no extra was offered, neither were any condiments and for the price, around £15, it was disappointing. Would I return? Yes, but I would have a pub meal rather than a Sunday dinner.

We needed to seat 20+ people on a Sunday lunchtime and needed tables reserving. This was not a problem, when we arrived Emma explained how they were going to chunk our orders into groups so it worked efficiently for them and us. The food came out together in the groups we had ordered in and in good time. The quality of the food was absolutely excellent, it's the first time in a year or so that we've eaten here and the quality is the best I've seen it. I had the chicken and chorizo flatbread 🥙 kebab and it had a great chargrilled taste, a lovely fruity tasting sauce of some kind and was a perfectly sized plate of food, not a bit was left. The service was excellent, food fantastic and good value. Thanks very much. 😊👍

Away from home for a couple of days. A quick Google of where to go for a good Sunday lunch near Ashby found this amazing place for us. We had the Sunday lunch trio - pork, beef and turkey...stunning. Lovely desserts and the home made lemonade was fab - very lemony. Fay looked after us really well... no rush, lots of time between courses. We had a lovely time and if we're ever back in the area, we'll be back here too. Thank you.

Very good. Requested a different table and immediately sorted out by very helpful lady. Friendly staff were always present for any requirements we had without being intrusive. Food was well enjoyed by the whole group of us. Good value for money. What more could you want from a visit for some pub food. Excellent, well done.

Big, well spaced pub with beer garden and decent car park. Clearly well cared for. Staff very friendly and noted the allergy well when we ordered. Food is good value and cooked nicely. Beer was ok. Close to the A42. So much better than the services. Would be happy to return. Thanks providing a well needed travel break.

We attended for a birthday meal of 21 of us. The staff were really helpful throughout the booking and pre ordering of food. A few decided on the day they wanted starters or changed their main option and this was never a problem for staff. The food all came out at the same time, hot and of a high quality and tasted delicious. Thank you for making our meal a pleasant experience.

Lovely food and service, we sat outside in the gardens. My only criticism was when booking, I booked online at 9:40 in the morning for a table at 1pm. The reply to the booking said it wasn’t confirmed and they would be in touch shortly. I waited till 12pm an hour before we were due to arrive and I still didn’t have any confirmation. I had to call the pub and double check that they did have a table available for us. The whole booking system was a waste of time and inconvenience as I ended up calling anyway. Maybe the booking system needs to be looked into. Overall a lovely experience thank you.

Lovely week day lunch with a lot of options on the menu, which is quite rare these days. Most pubs seem to have condensed their menu but the Ferrers have a good variety. Service was excellent and very friendly staff. Also dog 🐕 friendly
