Very friendly and welcoming pub! Staff are very friendly and has a great atmosphere. Had a quick lunch and drink food is excellent �recommend stopping here if you fancy something to eat in loughton or just a drink! �

Beautiful pub, a real gem when you consider the fake-tatty pubs that surround it. The staff were superb and the Guinness is obviously well used as it was brillyant.
Manager is not too hard on the eye, either!

I was in Loughton recently to check out The Olive Tree restaurant (review coming soon). We missed out on Nu Bar and Luxe as we were way to early on our Friday night out, but the Hollybush gave us just what the doctor ordered. A nice local boozer with unpretentious drinkers who like a more casual affair than its dressed up glam counterparts in the area. It has a couple of different areas, some TV's, it good for groups and or you can find a little spot for two. Good selection of beers, decent wine actually and a good atmosphere. A bit of talent too!
Me and my friend came to the Holly bush for catch up drinks. We had a great night. The service was fab and the drink selection and prices were reasonable. The pub decor and layout was great and there was a great atmosphere too. We also enjoyed the music they played although it may have been slightly too loud so we were having to shout to hear each other at times, but we understand it was a busy Friday night so to be expected. I thoroughly enjoyed my evening here and would definitely go again.

We have just enjoyed a family lunch-our first time here and must say what a lovely meal it was with very friendly and helpful staff. While organising the beach party the manager gave my delighted 3 year old grandson one of the beach balls to play with and the bar staff gave him a flower garland, children friendly, we’ll definitely be back!! Thank you
The Hollybush is a great pub with delicious food, worth the price and very quick to leave the kitchen. Also consider coming on Wednesdays where they do promotion on chicken wings. Also helpful staff. Nice seating areas, outdoors as well as indoors. Overall would highly recommend
Staff are all lovely people. Delicious food especially the wings and sour cream slaw. Burgers are always a good choice here. Also pleased that the bar stocks Peroni 0.0% for the designated driver! Only one thing that was a minor concern was that we chose the option in the ordering system to have the meal separated into starters and mains but all the food was delivered together.
Brilliant. They let the dog in - she’s a big dog (American bulldog). The food was average a bit expensive for what you get in my opinion. But drinks are decently priced but being allowed to bring the pooch in has swayed me to the 5* rating. Defo recommend

My first time in this pub and I was pleasantly surprised. Its quite different to many of the pubs in the area, it has more of an urban feel to it and industrial and quirky decor. We had some really good burgers which really tasted properly homemade with ingredients like kimchi. The bbq fries were really delicious and the bar man was very nice and friendly. Will be returning soon, it's even for an afternoon coffee.
Really lovely. Decor and seating very nice. Was greeted straight away, manager was pleasant. Food was on point! So yummy- loved the fries too! Will definetly recommend.
Great pub. Friendly staff with a good beer and food selection. Plenty of screens. Good atmosphere to watch the games.
