Immaculate vibes, immaculate interior, and the menu is great too. Loads of choice, unique and interesting stuff that you don’t get at many other places. The drinks are lovely, and they have their own bakery (bread is for sale, very cool) which is a nice touch. The only reason I feel like 5/5 is not appropriate is the price compared to portion size really. Everything else is honestly top quality, with pop ups, plants, and little gifts and goodies for sale too. We have been here twice and no doubt will return. I do recommend for brunch, if you’re after a light bite while you work!

Public serves the best specialty coffee in town. The atmosphere is relaxed and there is plenty of seating. The baristas are friendly and helpful. I enjoy going with friends or to work on my laptop during the week. However, laptops are not allowed during the weekend.

Came for a work meeting and the atmosphere was lovely- beautiful interior and it felt busy without being too loud/cramped. Had a lovely mocha as well.

Nice smell of fresh bread as entering the cafe. Open plan with mixed seating options. Tables, sofas, bean bag type chairs. Options available for kids and adults. Ordered the brunch plate . Great portion and mix of food. Waffles were good but make sure to eat them hot. Originally got the wrong food but wasn't certain if that was a miscommunication from my part of within the team. Nonetheless once I told them they didn't hesitate to correct the issue no questions asked. Great service. Will definitely come again.

Favourite café in Loughborough. Spacious, good space to study or chat. Great pastries, decent coffee, amazing breakfast dishes. Their sourdough bread is standout, as well as their croissants.

Lovely bright large open space for a café/coffee bar with lots of tables of different sizes. We came here for a late lunch with my husband and daughter on a Sunday. We all enjoyed our sandwiches, coffee and brownie/cookies. It was busy but we got a table immediately. It is also dog friendly. Lovely modern vibe. Between us we had a roasted veg and hummus sough-dough toasted open sandwich, a salt-beef sandwich and an avocado and chilli open sandwich. All were served quickly and were freshly made and tasted lovely. To follow we had a chocolate brownie which was lovely and a chocolate cookie which clearly was freshly made and crisp. Will definitely come here again when we visit.

I’ve been to Public a few times now since it opened last week. Every time I’ve visited, the staff have been so friendly and helpful. I love that the food is brought to the table and the staff always ask how everything is. The sandwiches choices are a little different to other cafes in the area and showcase their bread made on site every day. All of those I’ve tried so far have been delicious and so well balanced in flavour. The coffee is very good, with a variety of choices and good milk alternatives available. Finally the sweet products on offer are great. I LOVE the Nutella stuffed croissants that use the Nutella pump! The cookies are wonderful, the muffins beautifully fresh and the brownies so chocolaty and not too sweet. I will definitely be returning here on a regular basis and would recommend anyone to come here to have a delicious lunch and take some bread home for another day.

Public is a lovely place, beautifully designed and with amazing chefs who make the most delicious filled croissants and sausage rolls. I love that Ohh deer works with the cafe and has there products for sale too, its a great way to get artists work out there without it feeling pushy or overbearing. My one issue is perhaps style over substance? Its little things, but its clear the designer/architect didn't consult the baristas before buying the crockery! Mugs have no handles, which whilst seeming a small thing, when you have hot coffee, tea or chocolate, gripping onto hot ceramic suddenly isn't worth how pretty the pot might be. The seats are crowded too so its hard to navigate, and there dosen't seem to be accomodation for wheelchairs. I understand an older building cannot always be adjusted but there are means to accessibility. Food and drink is also pricey, but because its handcrafted, and with good ingredients, this I can understand.
