I booked afternoon tea for 5 persons a few days ago. The owner was very happy to deal with my query and was proactive in asking about and dealing with our dietary preferences/needs (Vegetarian/lactose-free)
We were served with a nicely presented and varied selection of finger sandwiches, fruit, cake and scones along with an unlimited supply of tea in china crockery.
The food was all fresh, was very tasty, it was in ample quantities and good value at under £15 per head. The ambience of the cafe was pleasant and the chairs and table were fit for purpose.
Afternoon tea requires pre-booking a couple of days in advance and a deposit of £7.50 per person needs to be paid too.
I certainly felt that I made a good choice in booking this place and would certainly recommend it.
I've never been here before, so I was going to give it a try. The reason was it looked busy and found a table straight away. a waitress came to take our order very quickly and was very polite and friendly.took about 10 minutes before food arrived, and it was presented well, looking appealing good value for the money. I would recommend a visit if you are out and about lou the waitress was very friendly and welcoming
Enjoyed a delicious breakfast with friends whilst visiting the area.
Very accommodating to allergens.
It was a breath of fresh air to eat somewhere new and be able to order a GF/DF/NF meal without feeling like I was being awkward.
I would most certainly be happy to eat here again & also recommended to others.
A superb Mother's day afternoon tea at cafe Acacia!
There were 8 of us in our party, including three old folks and three young children. Everyone was catered for down to a mug for Grandad's tea and painting activities for the children.
The table was beautifully presented with vintage crockery and the quantity and quality of food was outstanding. We were served a wide variety of sandwiches, wraps and other savoury bites. My husband chose the gentleman's afternoon tea which came with a generous serving of cheeses and crackers. There was a selection of cakes, biscuits meringues and fruit, which went down especially well with the children. Not forgetting the pinnacle of every afternoon tea, delicious scones with cream and jam! Because the cafe is fully licensed, I even managed a sneaky glass of prosecco. Perfect! Before we left there was even a vase of flowers for each of the mummies to take away too.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and very patient with our three boisterous boys and very particular grandad!
I can thoroughly recommend the afternoon tea at Cafe Acacia for any special occasion, it certainly made my Mother's day!
Always always a lovely visit. This yime for afternoon tea and cake. Lovely fresh victoria sponge and a pot of tea.
Fantastic.
Planning the next visit already.
Really nice local business, with high quality food and standards of cleanliness. All food is made to order. Fell in love with the Club Sandwich and air fry chips 💕 and the breakfast is good too. Since inputting the partitions personally I think it’s improved the experience due to more privacy. 100% Worth a visit.
Clean, welcoming and quick service, breakfast was a good portion and came out nice and hot, also enjoyed the playlist a perfect quick stop before heading into town.
Nice panini's with totally flexible fillings. Pleasant and relaxed inside space and some outdoor seating. Friendly and efficient service.
Visited here yesterday for the first time with my friend, totally impressed with the lovely surroundings and atmosphere.
We both had eggs Benedict which was cooked to perfection, oh and we had to try the chips which were amazing 🤩.
Staff really friendly and will do everything to meet your requirements.
Will definitely be back 😊👍. Highly recommend!
