The top secret batter and good packing keeps the fish crisp even after bringing it home.

I have been here a few times and at first I was a bit unhappy with the prices and the amounts of foods I was given in the portion.
But, having been there nearly everyday this week, it’s definitely nice to have quality food.
It’s good quality food, a lot of people want cheap.
Banging homemade fish cake meal for £6
This is a quality traditional English fish & chips shop. Grade A ingredients cooked to perfection by friendly staff in a very clean & inviting establishment. Its only small, but the produce is huge in flavour, portion & presentation!! The fish is A1 😋😎😁👍
I won’t lie, the best fish and chips I’ve had. Extremely good value for the quality you receive. The fishcake was to die for, something you would expect to taste in a fancy restaurant. The atmosphere was good, in a modern but homely restaurant style. Limited seating but nice that there is some. The staff were very helpful and friendly. If I was in the area I would come again.

Lovely homemade fish cake which is cooked in a lovely soft batter, and the chips and peas were stunning, not a bad price for £3.95 would definitely recommend
Nice meal.. you can have a small large, a large small, an 85p upgrade on any meal, presumably the large and the small. Oh and every meal comes with a small chips, presumably the large ones as well? 🤷🏻♂️
Freshly prepared tasty food which is never greasy
Great portion sizes for a lunch or evening meal and the staff are kind efficient and friendly it's well worth the 5 minutes walk out of the town centre

Delicious fish and chips at George’s. Just happened upon this place when we developed a flat tyre in Loughborough. Fish was fried fresh for us (always worth waiting 5 minutes for fresh frying). Fish was perfectly fresh and batter very light and crispy. Chips great. Also best mushy peas I’ve had. 5 hygiene stars. Highly recommend.

Been going to George’s for 5+ years and have still yet to have a bad experience. Food is always delicious, the staff are very friendly and efficient and couldn’t recommend the place more, best chippy in Loughborough!!!
I like George’s and have done since I first discovered their other branch in Beeston. Unfortunately since COVID they seem to have reduced portions and the frontage has fallen in to disrepair but the staff are always lovely and most importantly the food is lovely.
