Had a fantastic meal last night to celebrate a birthday! Great food, generous portions, friendly staff, and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Menu selection was excellent with some different options....made it difficult to choose! I had the Gyros with chicken but also tried the halloumi

We had a brilliant meal in the star and the wonderful owner sat and discussed Ragdale hall with us which was our spa weekend away we were on our way to. She was so lovely and the food was brilliant too. Thank you so much would definitely recommend x
Had a meal with my partner for a work leaving do, brilliant service. The garden was lovely for a drink before hand and the inside was even better. Great area to seat 10 for a meal and the menu was great and varied.
Had some amazing fish and chips with garden peas, the chips were lovely and homemade
One of the tastiest meals we’ve had for ages and a cracking crystal clear pint of real ale! Amazing value £15 for a confit duck main with all the trimmings. Lovely service from the girls too! Thank you
We popped in for a beer as the weather was beautiful, the garden was beautiful with loads of seating.
The beer was reasonably priced too. We didn't eat but saw a few meals coming out and looked beautiful

Just dropped in fir a lunch break, we had 2 of their filled baguettes, both were excellent & very good value for money! Real proper Ham & lots of it. Why do other pubs skimp on it by using processed ham?
Called in for coffee with mates on an early Sunday ride. Even though not officially open at the time (they were still serving residents) they accommodated our group. Lovely coffee and great service

We stayed for 2 nights for a wedding nearby. The staff were wonderful - very attentive and genuinely friendly. The rooms are modern and extremely comfortable. Breakfast is amazing... The portions are huge! We'll definitely be back if we need to stay near Nottingham or Loughborough again 🙂
