Myself and my friend had a joint 21st celebration at Browns Lane on August bank holiday. After having a relaxed meeting with the owner, we decided all the finer details such as food, decoration and even sorted a drinks offer for a few of the delicious cocktails on the menu. Browns Lane management and all staff exceeded our expectations. When we arrived on the day (early to check everything was in place) the staff had made the venue just perfect. They had created an outside bar, moved all the tables around both upstairs and downstairs, had some complimentary snacks on the tables when we arrived and put all of our decorations up exactly as we'd imagined, including balloons, bunting, confetti and various childhood photos. For food we wanted something relaxed and easy to eat. As Browns Lane provides more of a fine dining experience, we were worried this wouldn't possible. We decided on both chicken and lamb burgers on brioche buns with salad and homemade coleslaw, with a vegetarian option of sweet potato and quinoa burgers, which was perfect for everyone. It wasn't too fussy, but still fresh and tasty. Overall the evening was everything we had asked for and more, and at a very reasonable price for everything included. The food was of a high standard and the staff were so helpful and cheery, always happy to go that extra mile.
Recently came on a Sunday and had great food and such attentive and friendly service. It was a nice surprise to find kids eat free and their food was also top quality and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. I would highly recommend for families on a Sunday and have spread the word. In a world of mass catering and boil in the bag meals it is nice to have a place who make food freshly and with a changing menu. We will be back.
We hired Browns Lane to do our wedding catering and they were absolutely fantastic! David was so accommodating and helped us create the perfect menu (especially for me the indecisive veggie!) The food on the day was so delicious, everyone loved it and the staff were brilliant. We honestly couldn't recommend them enough, they were so, so great! Thank you for making it the perfect day
Lovely modern restaurant..Fantastic food particularly the lamb bun and chocolate fondant!..great service from all staff will definitely return.. highly recommend
Just had a lovely lamp rump steak how nice it tasted melted in my mouth, the mash was out of the world all ready for the new year disco. Big thank you to all the staff front of house and back of house for a lovely night. Would recommend to anyone. Josh

We had a fantastic night for my son's 18th birthday, with a party of 15. The food was excellent and the staff extremely friendly and attentive. Great value for money. The extra little touches were so lovely, for example, writing "happy birthday" in chocolate on his dessert plate!
Also, thank you to the waitresses for being very accommodating to my cousin with special needs.

Not been for a while but had an excellent experience- my sister bought me here for a birthday lunch - great friendly service, great food & drink - can’t wait to return.
I am so lucky to work here it's such a nice restaurant with lots of lovely kind chefs,waiting staff and a very good manager the food is amazing

If you have yet to visit browns lane in Loughborough I personally advise you do. Lewis the new owner is a very charismatic man, runs his resturant with a very personal and professional approach, our waitress was mya she was very friendly and knowledgeable the food was incredible and served very quickly, starter we had spicy King prawns, mains was steak med rare and belly pork, desert was raspberry compot and chocolate fudge dome, the starter was fresh light and very delicious not overly spicy, the steak was cooked to perfection and the chips are a game changer, the belly pork I have never in my life had such an explosion of flavour from the melt in the mouth meat and the roasted veg was lovely, both deserts where fantastic the chocolate dome melted away as Lewis poured the toffee over the top (sorry no pictures of this) the compot was lovely and fluffy and the home made short bread was just perfection, the house merlo was beautiful ended up having 3 glasses and although there is no cocktail menu yet they did provide cocktails on request and both we tried where brilliant, a must visit if you like alle cart food.
Great lunch and Food was excellent! Such a shame that we were the only ones in at the time! Prices good too! Would definitely recommend and will go again! 👍
I cannot rate this place highly enough, we were politely greeted and taken through the beautiful dining space to our table. We both had a lovely glass of wine and I ordered the rolled pork. The food was absolutely perfect. I didn't arrive intending on having desert but after such a lovely main course I couldnt resist. Our deserts were equally inspired and tasty. I will definitely be returning here.
Went for Sunday lunch and the food was outstanding, perfect portion sizes and the service was great too. Children's size meals are available and were enjoyed greatly. Fab cocktail menu and wide variety of spirits. Beautiful interior and small outside seating area too. Definitely going again.
Great service, good food, and well-priced wine (£18 for a bottle of Malbec). Nice little touches like a palate cleanser between courses.

Well worth a look. The interior decor is great both in the ground floor bar area and the first floor restaurant. The menu reads well and the wine list is reasonably priced. Can recommend the cocktails.
