Had a wonderful birthday meal here this evening - we were a party of 13 so we were sat in a little separate room which was lovely and set up well. All of the staff were so friendly. I really wish I had gotten the name of our main server as they were absolutely fantastic - nothing was too much trouble, they were so chatty, friendly and incredibly attentive. (To any managers that may read this review - please find out who the server was for the party of 13 on the 16th June 6:45pm booking and give them a raise!!!!! I’ve never had such incredible service)
I’m lactose intolerant so opted for the vegan menu offerings and our server explained how they have such a strict process in place when dealing with allergens to try to eliminate the risk of cross contamination, which is so helpful to know. If you have an allergy or intolerance everything is separated as much as possible and all staff are well trained on all allergens.
The food was absolutely incredible, every single person in our party loved the food. Everything was so well presented and delicious!
Have been here a couple of times in the past before and will 100% be returning.
Thank you!
We had lovely meal at this pub today. The food was great, the service was good and the interior is lovely. We really liked it and will be back.
Quick pitstop here for light lunch and it was lovely. Didn't really optimise the menu or facilities but would love to come back again with a large party. Good was good with a nice selection of drinks. Lovely looking beer garden and decor was modern with a traditional twist. Would very much recommend
Very pleasant place with super attentive staff. Sign of a good waiter when they can remember your whole order and the right items arrive!
The food was very tasty and well presented. Quite reasonably priced for the quality and presentation. Overall this was a good experience and would return given the chance!
Excellent Trio Sunday Roast with a pint of Doombar. Serving staff very attentive and friendly. The food portion was large and meats were cooked to perfection. The venue has a large car park and a lovely and relaxing interior.
The staff are amazing.. genuinely Hywel and Libby made our experience one not to forget.. every detail was met to the wine and quality of food .. thank you
Great overall experience and food. Glad we had the opportunity to visit while over from the US.
Great find… had been to a nearby National Trust property and it was a wet Sunday! We were hungry and were told Woodhouse Eaves had a decent pub. We chose this one and were pleased we did. Got a table straight away, excellent service and good menu. Had the Nourish Bowl with Halloumi and shared a sticky toffee pud.. and half of Wainwrights. Delicious. Lovely decor and atmosphere, would definitely recommend!
Nice food, service ok ( was very quiet). BUT BEWARE!!!!!! Very disappointed and to be honest really cheeky to find out when we got the bill the 2 course lunch menu we ordered off can’t be processed though their till as 2 courses for £18.50 so you end up paying about £3 more. It’s not a lot of money granted but it’s the principal of it. The waitress did offer to put it onto two separate bills which would sort it correctly out but why not do that in the first place!?!? Really cheeky extra way of getting few quid out of you.
Not very busy when we went but could not fault staff and food was excellent! We had Fish and chips and we really enjoyed!
What a lovely place! Service was very good food was tasty and hot! Atmosphere was very nice but a bit quiet for a Friday lunchtime. I would strongly recommend 4 star.
My son and daughter in law took us for lunch today as they come regularly and said we would enjoy the food . We got a lovely welcome from the Manager then we’re looked after superbly by Noah who couldn’t have done more to make today a lovely experience. He is a natural for a front facing role and so personable with a wonderful smile. Our compliments to the chefs and kitchen staff as the food was superb. Will definitely recommend to all. Thankyou
I had a table for 6 people for my Grandson's 21st birthday. It was super they really did us proud. The food and service was excellent. Lovely staff as well. Thank you for such a lovely evening.
First visit to the Old Bulls Head for an anniversary lunch, large table of us with two toddlers as well. High chairs provided and the kids were comfortable throughout and had a great time. Food was superb, loved the small plates how you could mix and match, excellent idea. Kid's meals also were really good.
Mocktails also were superb, especially if you're driving, I'd recommend the Elderflower Sherbet. Lovely interior very comfortable and staff were all really nice - special mention to Noah for looking after us so well.
Will definitely come back again.
We visited today and was taken good care of by the young manageress, I thinkk her name was Caitlin. Nothing was too much trouble, amazing service; delicious meals and a great atmosphere! We’ll definitely be back!
It had been several years since we last visited the Old Bull's Head and we were pleasantly surprised at the style and ambiance of the pub, very nice, warm and welcoming. Service was warm, friendly and professional, we were made to feel very welcome. The food we had was excellent, well cooked, tasty and nicely presented. You can't beat a chocolate bombe. We'll certainly be back.
