I'm not a seafood fan, so this was a treat for my husband and he really enjoyed it. The staff welcome you by name which is lovely, and they are very knowledgeable and professional, and by the way the food is cooked, the chefs obviously know their stuff. The food is served at a fine pace and was delicious. We never felt rushed but it wasn't slow either. I made a special request before we went by message for a different starter (as it's mostly seafood obviously) and it was easily catered for. We will certainly be going back. Booking is essential though, as several walk ins came in and had to be turned away.
What an excellent bistro. Quite small (make sure to make a reservation) but a lovely atmosphere, friendly & welcoming staff and the food - outstanding. Fresh, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented - this is one of those rare places where you just want to keep returning. Congratulations to the chef and all staff for getting it so right.
The food was excellent quality and prepared to a very high standard. Will certainly be returning here again. A must if you like fresh seafood. Busy place so best to book.
Little restaurant with outstanding seafood. Great attention to detail. Every single thing, from the salad leaf to the fabulous lobster, is locally sourced and carefully selected.
Nice touch, the chef came for a chat at the end of the meal.
Do not be fooled by the location. It may not look like much from the outside, but the inside is definitely worth the visit! Brilliant food. Lovely service. All products are local (and quality!). This place is marvellous!
My first time at this lovely restaurant, I arranged for a takeaway over Facebook & when I arrived was pleasantly surprised that it was 20% cheaper than I expected because it was takeout.
I’m staying in Mosstowie for two weeks so rather than drive back I drove to Lossy Harbour & ate there. It was a spectacular meal. I had scallops to start & seafood mixed grill with garlic butter, salad, beautifully cooked vegetables, chips & so much wonderful fish; salmon, mackerel, haddock (I think!), Langoustine tail & a huge prawn. It was utterly delicious. It felt like every element had been prepared with love. There were no tired salad leaves & nothing was over or under done.
I’m going back to London in the morning with a smile on my face & can’t wait to come back next year & eat in.
As you can see from my picture all I left was a decimated prawn & a few stray bits of samphire. Absolute Yum!
(There was even a bit of free art thrown in on my Takeaway box)
Food was stunning. Well decorated & intimate restaurant. Would definitely recommend.
Service was good. Atmosphere was nice although lacked music. That’s being picky. Great place & would definitely recommend & visit again.
Fantastic visit to catch 79. A good selection of food and specials on offer as well. I personally had the seafood carbonara as pictured and friends enjoyed there’s as well . Good service with a friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend
Went down for a birthday dinner. Everyone was extremely welcoming and friendly. As pictured, scallops were beautifully cooked and well presented. Imo the lobster didn't need so much extra on the plate, because it's a beautiful thing in its own right, but nevertheless it was cooked to perfection, and who am I to judge what people want with their lobster? Would eat here again.
Most wonderful meal this evening, the service was lovely, the menu and food was so yummy that we want to return and try everything on the menu.l would highly recommend to anyone, not just the seafood lovers amongst us.
Thank you catch 79. Phenomenal.
