SO the Head Chef was on Professional Master Chef this last week. SO what!
I will tell why SO What! I saw him, at the pass, configure and arrange and 'make perfect' every plate of food that come to all our tables this Sunday. It was all about Attention to detail and care and love and being a Professional.
So other than to say our meal was without fault. The service was friendly and attentive and the Bill was affordable and the memories will be long lasting - there is nothing else to say.
The menu is irrelevant. If you enjoy food made with love then you have found your place in heaven
I wasn’t hungry but The Sardine Factory was so inviting as we walked past that we had to stop in for a tasting. I’m glad we did. Reasonable prices and wonderful views of East Loone River. My favorite was the Fish Finger Tacos that were light and flavorful. The Cornish Sardines were perfect and the capers added just the right amount of saltiness. The Cornish Crab Mac & cheese was great but I would have loved larger chunks of the crab. However, the flavors were excellent. My only issue was the restaurant’s floors that were tacky or sticky as though the floor cleaning solution may not have been completely cleared.
We had a wonderful lunch at the Sardine Factory. High class dining with fair prices.
The food is freshly made in the very professional open kitchen, by a highly motivated, great team of chefs.
We had oysters, mussels and crispy potato peels with grilled cheese. Everything was excellent!

Had a wonderful meal here. Staff were lovely and food was exceptional. So much to choose from that two of us had several starters instead and each were full of flavour and delicious. Highly recommend the potato skins, haddock scotch egg, chowder, vegetable tacos, burger and the crab Mac and cheese Our best meal on our visit to Looe.
A really lovely menu in a cool, casual and welcoming place. We had the seafood chowder and the crab linguine and both were perfect 👌🏼
We had delicious breakfast - sitting outside an watching the small harbour. Very friendly staff - cheap price and good quality. A lot of homemade (if you like vegan & glutenfree) cake!

My favourite restaurant when visiting Looe! I enjoyed the Fish Tacos, Crab Linguine, Fries with Cheddar & Seaweed Aioli, and Summer Pavlova!
We booked here for Sunday lunch after seeing the great reviews and it appearing in the Michelin guide. Once I spotted mussels on the menu though I quickly changed my mind. My partner still got the roast though. We both agreed the meals were delicious. The staff were really friendly too.
Fabulous food. We had multiple small plates. My favourite was between the squid and fish tacos. However, the haddock scotch egg tastes great and looked like art when I cut into it.
I can’t recommend this place highly enough. The staff, ambiance and food were all exceptional.
Between our group we had much of the fish-based plates - each one stood out for its own reasons.
We had three young people <13 years old, and they all tried things they would never have tried before. I believe this was down to presentation and the kitchen/team’s creativity.
There’s no pomp here. However, for us, it was dining at a very fine level indeed.
As the local taxi driver confirmed - in the years he’s picked people up from the Sardine Factory, not one has had anything negative to say about it. I wholeheartedly agree.
Compliments to the entire team and my own personal thanks for helping us make a very special memory.
Booking ahead recommended - suggest not hesitating - it’s that good.
