Ambience was nice. Great food. But had to wait long for just Fish and chips. Happy Customer.

We choose to visit The Coddy Shack for a quick lunch while exploring the area and it has definitely been worth it. We got some calamari and fish and chips and you can feel the quality was amazing. The only feedback I would like to give is that the service was a bit slow, I know there were many people in at that time but I would let people know if taking the order would take that long.. Anyway would definitely go back!

The garlic crevettes are mindblowingly gorgeous (I crave them daily lol) the fish is crisp (not soggy & greasy) and chips are delicious. I had the scallops a previous time & they were amazing too. Staff friendly, helpful & welcoming

We were staying at Looe Bay Holiday park which is about a 5 minute walk from the Coddy Shack. Called in on Sunday but the place was closed (February half term) check opening times when you are there. We turned up without reservation and were seated immediately (family of 4). The phone was continually ringing with people making bookings, so I would advise booking if you are travelling, otherwise you'll only be able to order takeaway. The food was amazing. Hubby had scampi and there was a plentiful portion (approx 12 pieces). My teenage daughter had garlic prawns and they were huge and the sauce was lovely. I had the seared cod, and the taste was wonderful. It was a very substantial piece of fish. My youngest, had chicken nuggets and he says they were the best he's ever had. The chips were lovely, proper 'chippy' chips too. The staff are friendly and attentive, and we were served in around 10 mins with this lovely fresh food. The venue looks lovely too, with plenty of outdoor seating for summer too. A great find on the main road in to Looe.

Visited this place whilst on holiday with my family and we had a very nice meal. The staff are excellent very friendly and the food was lovely, good portions. To be honest I was reluctant to go due to the prices it's not cheap but we were all very satisfied and stuffed by the end. I would advise booking as it's very popular and based in between two holiday parks.

Visited on a lunchtime so no need to book 😁 Venue is pet friendly so Boris could join us as well. Bar is very well stocked and has a fantastic selection of both gins and rums. A nice surprise was if you fancy a G&T, there is also a choice of mixers. As it was just lunch, we ordered cod, chips and mushy peas. Food did not disappoint, chips were homemade, fish lovely and white and the batter was crisp and not greasy. Service was good. Staff were efficient but not brusque. Cost wise, I would say reasonable. £12 for regular fish and chips and sides were an extra £1.50 each. I think the portion sizes are quite generous as I couldn't finish my meal. Would definitely recommend 👍🏻

First visit here whilst on a trip back to Looe. Just up the road from where I went to school! Top quality fish and excellent menu variety. Really friendly and helpful staff and a great atmosphere. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back again!

1st visit while staying next door at Looe Holiday Park. Superb quality seafood at affordable pricing and great choice. I like my food but was glad I didn't have a starter. Really great choice from Fresh fish and chips to Mussels and Chowders. Karen went for Mussels Meunier as a main and I had a seafood Chowder 😋. The seafood tasted that fresh it tasted like it had just jumped out the sea with the scallops and Mussels the freshest and plumpist I gave ever tasted. WE dud leave room for home made Lemon meringue and Neopolitan trio of cornish ice cream 🍦. Staff were really friendly and liked the open plan kitchen. Highly recommend we will certainly be back and give your restaurant a try next door.

Laid back atmosphere during late afternoon. We walked in and got a table for 2. Good choice of food on menu and a chefs special board. Food was delicious and a large portion is large! Friendly staff and nice decor. Prices are very reasonable. Will definitely be going there again.

Recommended by one of the ladies in the community shop in Duloe. Very pleased we decided to go. I had plaice and chips (see photo) for the first time ever, and it was excellent. Even the bread is really good - when it arrived, I thought the slices looked a bit too thick for chop butties but I was wrong! We also had a starter portion of pil pil prawns and a cod and chips, both very nicely done, and then I had a portion of the lovely, homemade lemon meringue pie with clotted cream to finish 😀

Loved the free parking, ordered the clams and the calamari. They were alright, and the side of new potato was okey. I should give it another try if I ever pass by the area. Staff was friendly and helpful. The cleanliness of the place can be improved to be honest but it’s not that bad.

Since being in England for over 4 weeks. The battered fish has been the best. There was actually fish in the batter. The chips were nicely cooked n fluffy inside too. It's so good that we have booked again for tomorrow night. I highly recommend the seared cod. Thank you for great service too. If you are staying at Looe Bay Holiday Park, I would highly recommend you go to The Coddy Shack as the food is 100% better than the so called restaurant at the holiday park where the food is either cold or it doesn't come out what is written on the menu.

Always have a 5 star experience at the Coddy Shack! The take away is one of the highlights of our Looe holidays. Needless to say, something was missing from this year's holiday after the fire, we were heartbroken! After seeing the Coddy Shack will be back in February, we cannot wait for our holiday in March. Well done and best wishes to all involved, we've missed the wonderful food. #CoddyRises

Love this place - always visit when I’m in the Looe area! The fish and chips are some of the best in the area. Fish is fresh and cooked to perfection! If there’s room for dessert I’d highly recommend them - they’re home cooked

OUR PERFECT LITTLE RUSTIC WEDDING We had our wedding reception at the Coddy Shack last month, while on our family holiday. This wasn’t our original plan we had a couple of postponements last year due to covid, and now believe everything happens for a reason. Although last years wedding was postponed we still had the holiday in Looe and actually came to coddy shack twice in one week and fell in love with the quirky venue and the amazing Fish & Chips! I contacted Hannah early this year and explained a little bit of how we wanted to celebrate our special day. She was great, she explained that due to covid things may be a little restricted and luckily for us we were planning a micro wedding anyway. It turned out that by June and with lifting of certain restrictions we were able to have the most beautiful day! She kept in touch leading up to the holiday, keeping me calm with lovely text messages. We arrived in looe a couple of days before wedding and went to see Hannah the night before. I took all our decorations (there was a lot) and she just got me! She had kept me calm and basically sent me on my merry way leaving her to decorate the room. After our amazing ceremony in looe we got to the Coddy Shack and we were blown away with how much effort Hannah and her team had gone to for us. She saw my vision and went further! The views from the back of the marquee were astounding and the table was so perfect every little detail she had gone to was noticed by our party! The food was beautiful, and served in little cardboard boxes and personalised for our day! The grazing boards for the evening were amazing, but unfortunately everyone was still stuffed from Fish n chips, so they boxed them up for us to take home they lasted us for the next day or two lol! Big shout out to Harry & Logan who were our waitresses for the evening, nothing was too much trouble and they had a smile on their faces all day and night, lovely lovely ladies. They saw to our every need. When it was time to go home we couldn’t get a taxi and Logan took 3 trips in her car to make sure everyone got home, what a star! The whole team are just amazing and gave me the most perfect day. THANK YOU CODDY SHACK!!

Food was incredible. Freshly cooked when ordered. Really tasty, great portion size and really good prices. Staff were lovely too. Dine in or take away services. Toilets and parking on site. Highly recommended. Wait times can be higher in the summer so beware.
