Reviews Sarah's Pasty Shop

This shop makes the best steak pasty out of the 3 that I have tried. The filling is very flavorful, the meat is tender and you can feel the potatoes and onions. A bit salty, that's why I'm not giving it 5 stars. It's served piped hot so I'll take a good 15 minutes before it starts cooling down. £4.5 for it which is standard around town but this one is big enough to challenge other shops' "large pasty" for a price of £5.50. good value

What an amazing experience, bought two of the original and my goodness. They just come out the oven and stayed warm in the car for hours until we reached our destination. Huge chunks of lean beef, well cooked tasty veg and the pastry was the best I've tasted. Still got a few days left in Cornwall, but on the day we leave I'll be going back and buying many more with some cakes. The fact you can watch the staff making the pasties and cakes shows how authentic this place is. Highly recommended

While holidaying in Cornwall I became suspicious of pasty shops all apparently selling the same are they frozen and just cooked in the shop? Sarah's was clearly made in the shop as I saw a lady emptying dough from a large mixing bowl. The lamb, leek, mint and rosemary pasties look incredible and tasted delicious real chunks of lamb. Safe to say the best pasty I've ever had.

Absolutely the best pasty shop in Looe. Came here last year looking for a really good pasty and glad I found this place. It was perfect, moist and seasoned beautifully. I'm down tomorrow so a bit gutted they're not open 🤣😂

Up there with the best!!!! Absolutely delicious pasties. Really great filling and they were really, really well filled. Excellent level of seasoning and the pastry was absolutely perfect. Golden, with just the right about of flake, but still strong enough to hold everything together. Delicious! A very strong contender for the best of the best. Make sure you get down to Looe to try one.

We've just really enjoyed 2 traditional pasties and they were the closest to my own I've ever had! Good chunks of skirt, lots of onion and great seasoning! Thank you, the wait was well worth it!

Eagerly awaited. The traditional style pasty was ordered here and of course, it could not disappoint. Not too greasy and not too doughy. A generous filling of chunky beef and veggies and not overly peppery. Waiting time around just after 11:00 was not too long a wait, with hungry customers efficiently served inside. The one-in-one out system works well. A highly recommended delight while here in Looe. Apologies, no shots of the actual pasty - my mouth was watering so much, I forgot.

First time visit to Looe today and I had to try a pasty from Sarah's just based off the reviews online for it being the best pasty shop in town. I arrived to the shop at around 3pm thinking there would be plenty of choice with it being relatively quiet in the town as its not quite tourist season yet. I walked in and was surprised to find they had sold out of almost everything already! I was hoping to try a chicken tikka pasty but they were indeed all gone so reluctantly I waited for the missus to order and decided I would get the same. She decided on cheese bacon and leek so my destiny was chosen. Initially I was shocked by the sheer weight of this pasty. It could literally be used as a weapon it should have come with a danger warning! After a brief walk back to the car on the other side of town by the river I took my first bite. OH MY GOD. LIKE OHHHH MY GODDDD. I didn't even get any filling I just took a chunk of Crust and it was absolutely delicious. The next bite followed and was ridiculously tasty and packed with a rich thick bacon and a lovely cheese. I demolished the whole pasty in a matter of minutes.. and despite it being extremely filling I could run back (or roll back) for another! Never mind the best pasty in Looe this is hands down the best pasty in Cornwall! We also went to Sarahs cake shop just a few metres up the road and got a mini egg brownie and viennesee swirl.. I have honestly never had an oral pleasure of this magnitude 😍🤣 AMAZING

On holiday with the family in Looe. I've been a chef for 25 years and the pastys and sausage rolls we had today were by far the best I've ever tasted. And to be fair the best pastry I've ever tasted aswell. Would love to know her secret..Sarah I take my hat of to you. And I will be telling the world. Keep up the good work and thank you for making our day in the rain

Pasties are amazing, filing plentiful, perfectly seasoned and tasty pastry. Cakes are lush...lemon cake, shortbread, brownies faultless. And the apple and caramel flapjack was beyond delicious!

One of the best pasties I’ve ever had (and that’s quite a few!). Fed up with all the marketing hype about award winning this and that at every other bakers, only to be slightly disappointed by run of the mill products. Sarah’s pasties definitely a notch or two above the norm!

We ordered gluten free pasties from here on Monday to be picked up today (Wednesday). We were not disappointed my daughter who is allergic to wheat and me being Ceoliac. Wow.... they are truly the best pasties we have had in Cornwall. The look on my 14 year old daughter was amazing. Thank you and we will be returning next year. Xxxx

The best pasty shop in Looe, don't go anywhere else. I've almost tried the whole menu and everything is amazing, my favourite is the bacon, cheese and leek (but not by much as they are all incredible). My other half doesn't even like pastys and she has at least one a day. I even get a bag full to take home.

First, the Pasty shop: As most people say, this is the best Pasty Shop, it doesn't really matter what flavour you go for, you know it will be good. My wife grew up in Looe and even ~23 years ago when we were first dating she, as a former local, said it was was only place to go and it still is. Second, the Cake shop (separate building, but doesn't show up on maps - have suggested an edit to Google maps to make it easier to find): I've walk past this place loads of times, and admired the look of the cakes through the window, but not been in, not realising it was related to the Pasty Shop, this year however we were staying in Talland the week that coincided with both my wife's and daughters birthdays, so I got two cakes make to order, throughout the process they were really helpful, even when I made a last minute request for a change. Both cakes looked and tasted great! Thanks Ange and the rest of the team involved!
