Superb! The menu is excellent, the venue is excellent. So you have everything you need for a pub here, excellent landlord, kids play area, superb menu. Superb venue. Wheelchair access is via the back door where there is a slope. See my photos for more details. There's a large accessible toilet. The landlord is super friendly and will help you out.

Popped in to have a bite to eat and a quick drink with a friend during our walk around the village and churchyard. Arrived there a few minutes to opening time. The lady behind the bar was very friendly, the food was delicious, and the portions were generous. We had the fish fingers with tartar sauce on a baguette. Will definitely go there again.

Beautiful and welcoming traditional country pub. Unlike nearby competitors the Blue Boar doesn’t have pretensions of being a high end gastro pub – it serves classic pub food at reasonable prices. But its always freshly cooked and the ingredients are good, so we’ve always come away feeling like we’ve had a good value meal. It’s a nice place to take a kid at lunchtime as there is a climbing frame in the garden. There is usually at least one ale on tap, and the Loose Cannon is particularly good.

Really enjoyed visiting this pub. The food was great and the staff were friendly. They have some local craft beer. A bit pricey, but worth a nice lunch out. The chorizo burger was especially tasty

A wonderful lunch at this charming pub, tucked away in the picturesque village of Longworth, just off of the A420. Good quality fare, served by friendly staff in an unpretentious atmospheric setting, with a good selection of real ales.

Had a nice Sunday lunch, I ordered the gnocchi (vegetarian) and my portion was a lot less generous than everyone else who ordered roast or burger, which were very good portions (though not enough gravy). Quality was fine and it's a charming venue, full of curios, bare beams, an open fire and what looked like a nice outdoor area if the weather had been better!

A friendly welcome in at atmospheric setting. The beer was excellent. There was a good variety of well-priced food, which was tasty and filling. We will be back, maybe with our dog next time. Thank you

Having a Sunday roast here and it's definitely worth the visit! We had the lamb and beef and both dishes were fantastic. Big Yorkshire pudding and lots of fresh veg too. Looking forward to dessert!

Fantastic hospitality, took my 85 year old mother in law to see the village she had been evacuated to in WW2 and the landlord couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful, introduced us to other locals and made her day! We had a delicious al fresco lunch ranging from enormous pizza for the children to tasty vegan burger for me and ended up eating dinner there too! Gorgeous country village setting.Wish it was our local!!! Staff and landlord really friendly.

I would highly recommend visiting this pub after enjoying a delicious Sunday lunch, great roast beef! They did everything to accommodate a late booking for eight people, very friendly, good beer and lovely building

The absolute epitomy of local country pub, particularlu if you're yearning for that cotswold vibe. It's like being invited into someone's home with relatives you haven't seen in ages. The locals are super friendly and well behaved dogs are part of the furniture, as there are no end of "good boys" to say hi to. The food never disappoints, the wine is hand selected from a local wine dealer and is good value for money considering the quality and the fact you won't be served something you can pick up in a supermarket. If you know what cocktails you like, odds are they can be made and the landlord is always on the hunt for something a bit special. The atomstphere is particularly nice on a sunny day or in the evenings as the interior is very cosy and you're spoilt for fireplaces. 10/10 would recommend to a friend. Worth a trip out of the city for. Oxford and London! Have taken some of my London freinds here for the true Oxfordshire experience. A total hidden gem. If you do fancy it, you actually can take a walk from the pub down to the Thames too! So a good rendezvous spot for walkers.

Lovely pub, nice and cosy, fire alight, only slight negative was beer coming from canisters behind the bar rather than the hand pumps, but I guess that’s a sign of the times. Although, it didn’t affect the beer at all, still tasted good.

Lovely pub tucked away in Longworth. Lovely old building, menu has something for everyone, reasonably priced. Dog friendly, nice atmosphere, fireplaces everywhere so great in the winter and a decent beer garden for the summer. The owner and manager are both top guys who can't do enough for you.

A great village pub serving excellent food in a friendly and welcoming way. Our first visit but certainly not our last. Good pricing on fine food and, unusually, very reasonable prices for wine. Nothing too much trouble here - its like eating at your friend's house !
