We went to the Potting Shed on Thursday for the picnic afternoon tea and it was absolutely delicious. The baskets were huge and all the food inside was plentiful and very tasty indeed. The girls who were serving were really friendly and any food you don't eat, you can take home with you. The only thing I would say is that the disable facitities aren't brilliant as there is no disabled toilet on the level as the café itself so just be mindful if you are taking a wheel chair or someone who is a little wobbly on their legs. Will visit again v soon.

I took my daughter's and grandaughter for afternoon tea which we were able to book for 12.00 really useful when we had a small child with us. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and plentiful really enjoyed the warm sausage roll and frittata. The cakes were also amazing I especially loved the meringue. Boxes were readily provided for us to take the left overs home. I would happily recommend this establishment

We have been before but I think things have improved if that's possible. Very enjoyable will be back. May have to bring hubby next time instead of a girly treat. 😀 One observation not criticism as don't think it's anything you can change. Downstairs is quite off putting to new customers. We had a " newby " And she was put off initially. I was surprised the garden centre gift shop had gone.

Had the pleasure of meeting my friend here today for lunch- we had the afternoon tea hamper. It was fantastic- everything was lovely, think it will be a while before I need to eat again! All the food that was being brought out looked amazing. Will definitely visit again. Thanks to all the staff who were very attentive and helpful

Vegan review: Enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea here. Served with soup to start, then a selection of sandwiches with vegan cheese, a ‘sausage’ roll, a beetroot burger then a brownie, mince pie, trifle and ramekin with fruit and shortbread in it. Delicious! Bottomless peppermint tea too. The service was excellent.

Well, after an initial disappointment of being told they couldn't find our booking which we made for Mum's 70th and being told, "it's OK" I was a bit Sceptical. BUT, wow..... Fantastic service and quickly set up ready for the Afternoon Tea. 3 adults and 2 children. Kids moaned about having an Afternoon tea, but have to say, they walloped it down lol. The actual food itself was very fresh, well presented and we actually had to ask for carry out to bring some food home with us. Extremely pleased and highly recommended for a visit. Thank you

A friend and I have just returned from enjoying an afternoon tea here, I think 'enjoyed' is an understatement, it was fabulous! The best one we have had by far! Excellent service from The staff too. Pre-booking is essential but we'll worth it!

Just been to the Potting Shed for the afternoon tea last Thursday and I will definitely be returning because from arriving to leaving the staff were amazing, polite and friendly and when ordering they check for any food intolerances or dietary requirements to make sure that everything would be OK for you. The food was locally sourced fresh produce, it was presented beautifully and was fresh and delicious. Would I recommend the Potting Shed - YES most definitely, we could not fault a thing. If you like afternoon teas this is the best I have had so if you need to travel to get here you won't be disappointed.

Arrived for Christmas afternoon tea, very busy but staff were great and really attentive. Xmas afternoon tea was brilliant, catered really well for my friend who doesn't eat red meat with alternative offerings.

Went for my wife’s birthday yesterday 15th May. What can I say everything and everyone was outstanding. The food was proper homemade with a great selection to pick from. I can certainly recommend this place to all. The food we all had was first class there was too much to mention about it on here so go and give it a try. The rooftop was a really nice place to dine too. The lemon cake with custard on was to die for.

Managed ,very luckily, to get in without booking. So good we tried to book in for next week, no chance, its fully booked. Eat out to help out etc. But managed to book places on Thursday for late lunch and afternoon tea for the grandchildren . The food being served looked fab, we had scones cream & jam. The staff were very good even swept off their feet and coping with a new normal and distancing
