The Running Fox - Longhoughton - Longhoughton - Photo album

Been to all of the Running Fox places now and the food and service here is up to their usual high standards. This particular venue is different in that it’s large, spacious and has an outdoors feel about it!! Probably due to the decor and large windows. There are picnic tables on the lawn outside ma
Friendly large cafe with extensive fresh cake selection and huge loaded sandwiches and melts. Prompt friendly service too. Good facilities for babies (high chairs, large baby changing, staff engaged nicely with the little one) and dogs (dog menu). On Wednesdays they do a deal of three cakes to takea
This is the 2nd Running Fox café I've visited and it didn't disappoint. Dog friendly throughout so we could take our dog. The interior is lovely with gifts dotted about the whole place. Friendly serving staff and the food was delicious. We chose a sharing Foxy Sarnie, chicken mayo with crisps, coles
Had lovely afternoon tea here, food was lovely as usual. Service was great was looked after by a lady called Karen I think her name was first time at low Houghton but will be bk. only downfall was the parking otherwise lovely 😊
Seats available without booking. Baked goods are the best you can buy and so mouth-watering tasty. Quite an extensive choice of sweet and savoury. Their winter offer of soup sandwich and a slice of cake is too good to miss. As always the staff are really friendly and offer recommendations if you're
Oh my goodness! What an awesome find! Lovely coffee shop and restaurant which is dog 🐕 friendly too. The food on display was too much... I wanted to try everything but had to make do with a coffee and a brownie this time. The staff were excellent and super friendly and made a fuss of the dog (even b
I was so incredibly impressed by the staff I spoke to today. We had a lunch booking which we had to cancel at short notice because my daughter was taken ill and had to go to hospital. I went to buy takeaway instead for the rest of my party and the manager so kindly deducted my deposit from my purcha
Visited the fox in longhoughton for first time. Layout was very nice, staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. Nice setup there more space than the others. Liked it so much went back the next morning for breakfast. Popped in today (29th) for breakfast, everything was great. They have exten
Although sadly we couldn't get a table as it was fully booked (on a Thursday afternoon - which should tell you all you need to know about his good this place is!) Staff were very friendly in helping us get sorted with sandwiches to takeaway. The brownies are worth the trip alone!
Great breakfast and super dog friendly, worth booking for the weekend. The addition of black pudding and even better the white pudding is inspired! Been back for delicious cakes and bakes too.
Travelled to Long Houghton to visit the Running Fox today. We had the afternoon tea, and I must say, it was delicious! I ordered a ham,.cheese and pickle sandwich, with a corned beef pie, cheese scone, warm with butter and cookie dough pie. My wife ordered the same sandwich, the steak and ale pie
The afternoon tea here is amazing. You can choose your own sandwich, pastry, scone and cake combo. There is so much choice and everyone in our group really enjoyed everything they had. It's dog friendly as well so we took out young puppy. One word of warning though, you probably won't finish it. We
Popped in for lunch, very friendly staff, great atmosphere, lovely food. Not the cheapest, but they clearly put a great deal of effort into the food and customer experience. We loved the gift shop style too, it's not just somewhere to eat. We'll be back, thoroughly recommended.
Super afternoon tea , with great service and hospitality provided by wonderful staff . Dog friendly is a Plus , worth booking as it is busy .
We visited the new Running Fox at Longhoughton - Northumberland for the first time this week. The premises lived up to expectation with attractive decor,a well stocked gift shop and an excellent bakery counter selling the most delectable goodies. The menu allowed for all tastes, we chose ‘Homemade S
The sandwiches we got from The Running Fox were fantastic, we had the houmous, halloumi and sweet chilli jam sandwiches which were delicious. We turned up without booking and were unable to eat in as they were fully booked so booking ahead is advisable here. The only downside was the lady who served
Loved afternoon tea here. The food was amazing and service was top notch. The staff were very attentive going the extra mile. The staff were happy too, one was humming along to the music on Alexa... Nice to hear. I'd go again!
Lovely lunch. Food fantastic as usual. There were a couple of dogs on site today and more last time we went, generally they were good, but they can be quite disruptive if they start barking at each other, it can spoil the atmosphere.
As far removed from a greasy spoon cafe as you could imagine. If beans on toast and a fried egg rocks your boat, then best look elsewhere. My wife and I called in as we passed on a walk on a Monday for an early lunch. I'd suggest you book at busier times of the week as The Running Fox looks to be a
