Amazing food & staff. We visit a few times a year & especially at Christmas, the long drive from bath is worth it.

My partner and I love this tearoom! We have never had an unpleasant time & the ladies are all lovely, not forgetting little Oscar too! Your tea is served in gorgeous tea sets that i'm very jealous of & you can also buy fresh free range eggs and very cute hand nitted tea cosies :D Their food is freshly made & delicious. They do the BEST soya hot chocolates around & amazing homemade cakes. We have previously ordered (last minute) a carrot cake for a relatives birthday to which they were very busy but kind enough to make for us at a very reasonable price! It was delicious! Honestly the BEST tea room around by miles!! We have recently moved to Haresfield in Gloucester & if we lived even further away we would still travel the distance to eat here. Any intolerances or allergies are catered for easily! Their cakes are also dairy free etc yet still taste amazing. Plus, if your pooch loves a sausage, this is the place to be! ;) We will look forward to many more breakfasts and lunches here :)

A super tea room. I have taken clients here and they've loved it - a really super place for people with dementia. Can't fault the place and they serve a magnificent bacon sandwich!

Such a fabulous tearoom with a fantastic menu. Friendly, welcoming staff and great atmosphere. We regularly come here, usually for lunch but occasionally breakfast. They cater for various allergies and have a wide range of gluten free choices. We have also had take aways (ploughman’s, afternoon tea and Sunday lunches) which are best ordered in advance. We highly recommend a visit, booking is advisable to avoid disappointment! Looking forward to our next visit very soon!

Food-allergy and dog friendly, charming, easy-going atmosphere for Saturday morning brunch, great value, local ingredients, very fresh, real food, real tea from leaves with adorable hand-made tea cosies, super attentive to food allergies and very kind to people and dogs! No wonder you have to ring a month ahead for Sunday lunch! So glad we've found it and we'll be back!

Lovely find. Fabulous atmosphere, friendly, helpful staff, dog friendly and delicious food. What more could you ask for? Dogs enjoyed their sausages too. Really enjoyed the Glen Miller background music too, just added to it

Lovely tearoom with a friendly atmosphere. Love the old music they play and the china tea sets they use. When we come up from Cornwall to visit family there, we always pop in for Sunday breakfast. Food is served fresh and the staff are lovely. Can’t wait to pop in soon when we visit in a few weeks 😊

We went for a Sunday afternoon cup of tea and a scone and both were delicious! Everyone was super friendly. The tea was very tasty - we even bought a bag to bring home. My son enjoyed his Rooibos (a taste of home). Hubby had the citrus Rooibos and I had earl grey. All were loose leaf and brewed to perfection. The sultana scone with jam and clotted cream was sumptuous as was the cinnamon roll. We were intrigued by the Sunday roast on the menu as well as all of the farm made ice-creams on offer and will definitely be going back there to sample more. We sat at the window and had a lovely view.

Grateful to have found such a gem of a place on a motorbike ride this Sunday. Ordered breakfast (available until 3pm) which was lovely and well presented. Also with variety for vegetarians. Friends ordered a full English which they thoroughly enjoyed, all items at brilliant prices. Lovely little setting with great food but also with warm, friendly and helpful staff who really made the place what it was. Noted as a stop to return to on future rides. Thank you!

We pop to this tearoom most weekends, the staff are very kind and friendly and we've built great relationships with some of the staff. They are dog friendly, the cakes are delicious 😋 but I would recommend calling on the weekend to book a table as they can get busy but there is setting outside aswell. Highly recommend this cafe

What a lovely tearoom. We were allowed to sit outside with our dog and the waitress came straight over with a fresh bowl of water for him. The coffee was excellent and a beautiful range of cakes. They even bought out a sausage for our dog which was a lovely touch. Would highly recommend as it was great value. We will be back. Thankyou 😊

My sister took my partner and I on a trip through the forest near Newent to find Harts Barn. This turned out to be a magical place full of mystery and surprises. The old tea room was like stepping back in time. Amusing anecdotes dotted around the walls and Glen Miller playing softly in the background. The breakfast was fabulous and could be adjusted to your choice if required. The mouth-watering cakes were dangerously close. Luckily, we were too full to endulge in these homemade delicacies . The staff were super efficient and friendly. My only concern was the outside toilets. They could be looked after much better. Do not let this put you off. The craft and delicatessen rooms are a treat. Also, the cookery and blacksmith schools create an awesome aroma to the place.
