Pretty standard pub food menu, but it is cooked and served to a decent standard. All day brunch is good. Scampi is good. Kids' food is really good. Ours had the fish strips, excellent quality fish finger replacements. And the sausage and mash, lovely sausages! Pub was dead at lunchtime but nice enou
Popped into this place after visiting Cragside house and gardens which was great and happily, the Village Inn was also great, I had the fish and chips and my wife had a hamburger and chips, one of the tastiest well cooked fish I’ve had in quite a while, the hamburger was also very tasty and was quit
Stayed locally and visited The Village Inn on a couple of occasions for food and drinks. The food is amazing, if I lived locally I would be here every day. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a visit when visiting this area.
Stopped off for lunch and wasn’t disappointed.
Really friendly chap on the bar. Food was delicious and arrived quickly.
Definitely will visit again!
The Village Inn B&B is a lovely little pub set right on the edge of the A697. There isn’t much parking available, we had to park down the road, not too far away, but it is a little frustrating.
The pub has the usual decor, old style look, with wooden benches out front. The staff are pleasant and ve
Very nice pub with decent ale selection and good food. Excellent location to meet friends and share an enjoyable experience.
Googled somewhere to watch the Lionesses in the world cup final whilst away from home. Found thod great pub. Made very welcome. Lovely sausage ciabata with quality sausages. Shame we lost the match!

Used the pub twice whilst staying at nearby Fram Park. Friday night was busy, but able to find a table. Saturday we booked a table for dinner, much quieter.
Decent selection of food on offer, though seems coleslaw is offered with most mains. Bar staff super friendly. Limited parking directly outside
Called in for lunch on our way to Scotland, very friendly and welcoming. Our food was excellent and served promptly. Highly recommended
Great dog friendly village pub, stayed one night near the village and walked to the pub with our two dogs! The barman Henry couldn’t do enough for us and placed us in a quieter area of the premises. Food was lovely and Henry was constantly checking if we needed anything, a credit to your establishme
We had some lovely meals here whilst on holiday
More friendly of two pubs near house. Although the other has black sheep which I like..Can play darts which I like.
Really nice food and very welcoming, dog friendly too which is great for us. They are clearly very popular as it was busy, we did book which was lucky. They did inform us that there would be a wait for food but they did manage to get our sharing starter out really quickly. We would definitely go bac
