Hiya, absolutely agree, food terrific. Soft skills training is a must for young staff having to cater for all age groups. Think the place would benefit from making more use of the bar area as a bar/coffee lounge, especially for people just dropping in for a drink and a lite bar snack. What do you think management??

First time here and wont be the last time. Beautiful food, well cooked and seasoned - excellent portion size. Great friendly service. Will definitely eat here again. Just one little suggestion - perhaps some condiments on the table or offered at service?

Refurbished earlier this year In a gastro style. The food was very good and a good variety of choices. Good luck.

Excellent and inventive food. The burger was especially tasty! Cod loin and scallop dish was well cooked but could have benefitted from the recommendation of a side dish for a more substantial main course. Desserts were delicious and innovative- clearly some skill here. Good service and reasonably priced. Would return if in the area again!

A gorgeous lunch at a hidden gem of a pub. Short drive from Exeter, close to the M5, it has a strong emphasis on local quality ingredients.

Lovely food and staff. very quiet, relaxed atmosphere. There isnt a huge amount of parking but that wasn't a problem when we visited.

The Lamb pub is an old building but has been modernised inside - tastefully decorated. Could be described as a 'Gastro Pub' and the food was really really delicious and all freshly cooked and beautifully served. Very friendly staff. Certainly 5 Stars from us!

Gorgeous evening meal and great service in a quiet village pub. Belky pork and black pudding with dauphinois on one plate, monkfish, scallop and keralan curry on the other. Empty plates, that's how good it was. Did look amazing when it came out though. Highly recommended

Impeccable. Despite being a quiet night for them the service from Lewis was brilliant. From the menu and the website the food looked great. But it completely exceeded even those expectations. With fresh, local ingredients, great presentation and fantastic tastes, there was absolutely nothing to fault. We will absolutely be back. And very dog friendly.

Had the best time and meal (and dessert!) here last night. I wanted to book something lovely for my husbands birthday and having never been here before, I relied on the great reviews for this place. So glad I did! Amazing staff, amazing atmosphere and food to die for! We will definitely be back and recommending to everyone!

Fantastic food and friendly service! Food presentation and the quality was just perfect. Actually it is better than a couple of Michelin star restaurants we have been to. So, do not miss the opportunity if you are around Exeter.

Delicious. They're taking COVID seriously unlike a lot of restaurants.

What a lovely meal! We were just passing by and decided to pop in for a beer and some nibbles, but ended up having the 4 course tasting menu (as you do!) It was a really lovely experience! The food was special, very tasty and beautifully presented. The service was professional. Everything was very Covid-safe and they had clearly thought carefully about that. My only criticism was that the ambience could have been enhanced, everything was immaculate and clean but it just looked a little bland. The room would have benefited from some atmosphere. A roaring fire and some eclectic decorations would be a nice compliment to the good food. Tables had scratches in the gloss, and gloss tables ar old fashioned. These aren't real criticisms, just a matter of opinion....it's the food that counts though and I couldn't fault it!

A fussy foodie family giving this pub restaurant a massive thumbs up! Fine dining is too formal for us these days with young children in tow, so we're always on the look out for good pub grub and restaurants that have a combination of good food and a relaxed atmosphere. The Lamb came recommended via the Old Inn in Drewsteignton. On appearances, it doesn't look like much but it's what's inside that counts! The menu is attractive and imaginative without being in the slightest bit pretentious. And most importantly - the food is delicious. All a big cut above your average stogey British fare. Fresh, very well cooked, there is obviously some talent in the kitchen here! Big thumbs up. Service was tip top too.

We had roast beef and roast pork....both were excellent. All served with great veg and all the trimmings. Fresh and cooked to perfection with great service. Very highly recommend. We must support these local pubs and restaurants and will be going back. Bravo to all involved.

We stayed in the area for Christmas and booked the Lamb Inn for dinner on Christmas eve. The food was good and tasty. Prices above average. The staff were friendly. There wasn't much of a Christmas atmosphere which was disappointing. None of the staff were wearing masks and came quite close which we found uncomfortable due to the current pandemic. They added a tip of 10.00 to your bill before asking if you want to leave one. We dont mind giving a tip, however it would be good if they asked you first.
