The pride of ownership and desire to make this shop and cafe a wonderful experience for everyone shines through. The owners, family, and staff are all lovely...funny, down to earth, hard-working and welcoming. Food is always fresh, tasty and locally sourced. We have eaten here numerous times, and on the rare occasions anyone has had an issue with something, the team has quickly and politely made it right as soon as it was brought to their attention.
Gorgeous views and even tables set aside near the front area of the shop specifically for those who bring their dogs. The team is always hugely accommodating to those arriving with dogs, happily reconfiguring tables and even reserving them in that area. And there's always loads of outdoor covered seating, which is nice to have in this beautiful area.
Lovely products in the shop, and the whole place is kept immaculately clean and neat.
Highly recommend!
Worth a visit. Food well presented and delicious. Lovely owner and staff. The venue is situated in the open Cotswold countryside with a restaurant/cafe and plenty of tables and space. Good parking too.
Delightful place with wonderful views. Lovely owners and very well kept. I shall definately be returning.
We sampled coffee and some cake, which was very nice. Can't comment on other menu items. It was easy to find, with good access for our very low sports car. It's family run, the gentleman who owns the place was very welcoming and thanked us for coming to visit. He made us aware of the car events they hold and also said we can ring up and book in if a group of us wanted to visit. All in all a lovely little spot to enjoy the countryside and sunshine!
I would like to say a huge thankyou to you everyone for looking after us so well on our outing!
I can't tell you how many compliments there were about the service and attention to detail you gave us.
The food was incredible - many thanks to the chef who managed to provide the most tasty quiche I, and everyone I spoke to have ever tasted.
So many people were so very impressed that they said they were going to come back in their own time, everyone said the setting was beautiful and we really couldn't have asked for more.
Also lovely and unusual gifts to buy in the gift shop, and the home made pies were also very popular take away purchases with our members!
I will certainly recommend your establishment to any group leaders I see.
Have been popping into Cotswold Barn every now and then for a few years now, usually as part of a group. Most often it’s after a morning tour with our car club and so usually we pop in for breakfast or coffee. Unlike some places it’s actually open at a reasonable time on a Sunday morning when a lot of cafes only open later. No matter when, there has always ample parking (a major plus in the area) and the food and drink is of a consistently good standard - nothing pretentious just simple honest food well presented and cooked properly. We always receive a warm welcome, and it is clear the owners - a true family business - take great pride in making sure the place is as good as it can be. The fact that we keep coming back is testimony to their efforts and it is definitely worth a visit.
Simple but very comforting and tasty breakfast. Serving up hearty English breakfast dishes we all know and love. The small veggie English breakfast was just the right amount and cooked very well. They have a nice selection of cooked dishes and hot drinks on the menu with additional items you can add to your breakfast depending on how hungry you are. The coffee is pretty decent and the prices are very reasonable for the portion sizes. The service was superb and the staff are really friendly, despite it being a windy, rainy and cold day. There is a really nice wooden (and covered) outdoor eating area which offers a good amount of protection from any bad weather whilst we're still having to dine outdoors only.
We enjoyed our first visit, on a sunny Sunday morning whilst the UK Porsche owners club had their cars on display. In fact, we enjoyed it so much we went back late on the Wednesday afternoon for more delicious food and another great car and bike display.
The owners and all their staff could not have been more friendly or accommodating. We cannot recommend The Cotswold Barn highly enough if you are in the area.
Lovely little cafe, very friendly staff, good variety of food to choose from & amazing views.
The bacon & Sausages were our favourite, so tasty!
Would 100% recommend it.
We stumbled upon this lovely place.
The breakfast was delicious proper sausages ,creamy latte , lovely surroundings and very polite staff.
Lovely place and good breakfast. Let down ever so slightly by the food being super hot to the point the bacon became a bit leathery and the mushroom being tough, and it feels a bit pricey for what you get. Cracking sausages with the breakfast though
Popped in to get a coffee and sandwich. The owner was sat at a table and seemed to know all the regulars, he started a nice chat with and was aware that we were in a hurry, so got us our food faster than normal. People behind the counter were also quick and friendly.
As I left I was very happy so thought I would leave a review! :)
Great venue, excellent food and very friendly service. Highly recommended, will definitely visit again.
Car owners club meet. Excellent venue, friendly staff, stunning surroundings. Locally sourced food was also wonderful, highly recommend spot 👌
We visited here for the first time today as part of a small group of cars from a car club. Bernard (the owner) was very friendly and welcoming despite being very busy, and the food we ordered (egg&bacon and egg&sausage sandwiches) were delicious and cooked to perfection. Highly recommended and would definitely return. Well done to Bernard, Bernard’s wife who was assisting chef in the kitchen, and all the team serving the food.
Found Cotswold Barn by accident today. We, including dog, were warmly welcomed. Whilst we had our own water for the dog I saw water brought out for the use of other dogs. Our coffee and rocky road were delicious. Will definitely call by again….maybe for breakfast!!!
This is a gem of a place that we visit regularly. The cafe is lovely with good, reasonably priced food and really friendly service. There is a separate, indoor area for people with dogs that is well away from the main indoor eating area for those who perhaps don’t like dogs. There is also a very nice outdoor covered seating terrace with lovely views. A huge car park means to don’t have to worry about trying to park and access into the cafe is level over gravel. There is a small parking area that is tarmac and set aside for disabled visitors and the inside is all on one level with a good size toilet suitable for wheelchair users. Once you have satisfied your hunger/thirst you can have a little browse around the nice gift shop too.
Love this place! First came here years ago when we were visiting from Kent. Just returned and it's as good as ever. Great food & gifts, welcoming atmosphere & friendly efficient staff. Recommended it to friends & they totally agreed 😊
