Wednesday night's they do gluten free fish and chips which my wife adores as she has celiac disease I have to say after moving here from London finding a proper fish and chip shop like this is fantastic can't rate the chip inn enough :-)
I was passing through Long Stratton last week when I decided to pop in for a portion of chips and a fish cake. Looking at the menu I was enticed by the homemade fish cake! Wow this was amazing and great value. I must say your chips are spot on too.
I only have one complaint, your shop is not nearer to my home, I need more of those fish cakes in my life.

The fact that we never eat fish and chips anywhere other than The Chip inn should tell anyone of the wonderful fish and chips ( other options available) we tend to sit in as it’s luxury!! Staff always friendly and efficient. Clean....... just the best place!!!!!!!

I eat here every now and then and the flavour of the chips are really tasty.
However the biggest part of this review is that I attended a charity darts night at The Queen's head for a regular in there. He has just turned 40 and suffered a stroke... So all proceeds were going to help him.
Halfway through, platters of chips and battered sausages arrived for all to enjoy. As I understand it. They were offered and not asked for.
What a wonderful community spirit they have. Thank you!

As always The Chip Inn didn't disappoint. This time I had sausage and chips. The sausage was ok, but for me it's the Chips I just love the chips served here. This time I was in and out within 5 mins on a Friday at 6pm. Amazing service at such a busy time.
I arranged for 12 bikers to have supper here last Friday evening. I contacted the chip Inn via Facebook messenger, they were quick to respond and very helpful.
On arrival there was plenty of free parking at the rear of the shop and lots of outside seating/tables at the front.
Everyone commented how lovely the food was, no one was disappointed.
Only criticism was we were told the sweet treat trailer would be open but it wasn't.
Would we eat here again? Without a doubt.
We were on our way out for evening and decided to stop there ,the fish and chips were delicious

Have been here many times since the early 1990s and can honestly say I've never had a bad fish and chips. Always consistently good and this business is right at the heart of the local community in Long Stratton. Always busy, especially on a Saturday and continues to stand the test of time.
Nice but not amazing. Last had sausage and chips twice for me and the Mrs. Ten qwid, a tad expensive but the sausages are really tasty. Chip portion sizes are a bit stingey. We usually share a portion elsewhere where the value for money is far better. Also, when I stopped the shop was empty, but still had to wait for another sausage then more chips to be cooked, so a speedy pick up I usually seem to miss 😂
Top quality fish and chips with an utterly market leading gluten free fry on Wednesdays.
Can't wait for the restaurant to reopen so we can stop picking up and going to our friends and get piping hot, crispy F&C on site.
Called in as we were driving past and had some very tasty cod and chips. Service was good and staff friendly but more importantly the food was really good. Batter on the fish was nice and crisp with a fleshy fillet inside.
