The food is amazing. The bubble and squeak is out of this world, ( my favourite). As for Christmas dinner, it was absolutely first rate, perfectly cooked, well done Chef, a Rolls Royce of culinary delight. The only downside is, that Christmas dinners anywhere else will seem second rate. I would heartily recommend The Lock House Tearooms to anyone.
Stumbled across this place on a Sunday afternoon... Amazing afternoon tea. Sandwiches so fresh and scones out of this world... Very reasonably priced too!!
Lovely place, excellent cappuccino! Well worth a visit.
Excellent service, very good food, and the price is right. They have an interesting collection of canal memorabilia in the one room which makes it feel very homely. They also serve excellent ice cream outside in the summer. Don't pass Trent Lock without paying them a visit.

Lovely food, good prices and nice staff. The cakes look awesome, the coffee is really good and they do dripping on toast. Not dusty all.
Friendly staff
Nice proper tea in proper tea pots, great home made food, has highly recommend.
Lovely food relaxing tea room will come again
Great little place. Only one thing for me. The menu had far to much to choose from. But apart from that it still gets a 5 star from me.
Wonderful menu of really old-fashioned food you don't find anywhere else. Never had a bad meal here.
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL. The staff are so friendly the food is delicious and fantasticly presented . It's such an AMAZING SETTING and very quirky inside . The China vintage crockery is just perfect. We moved to the area about 4 years ago and it's my piece of heaven.
Terri and the ladies were absolutely lovely, took time to tell us the history of the establishment, very enjoyable. Food was delicious and quintessentialy British. Definitely visit again
Lovely cakes and desserts, tea served in a beautiful China cup also.
My friend and I visited for the 1st time on Wednesday, we sat in the garden. The staff were all helpful and friendly, and we enjoyed tea and toast. We'll certainly be back.
Enjoyed our lunch trip today.
Although it was a bankholiday nice specials board and everything available on the menu.
Staff were friendly and all in all good around.
great food worth a visit asked for cheese and onion on brown bread and got crisp and salad as well most enjoyable
The food is so yummy 😋, so fresh coffee and a beautiful view watching the boats go through the lock
Fast, friendly service, excellent home made food in perfect portion sizes and fair prices.
The hot chocolate is highly recommended!
This was the first time in a few years that I visited after a walk along the canal, the cafe was interesting with little artifacts. Staff were pleasent & service good. The only think I would say is that we had x3 cobs & sandwiches, x3 drinks & cake sadly I thought the price for what was ordered £28, saying that apart from the price, you can't fault the cafe.
Beautiful food, lovely staff, beautiful setting 👌
Lovely coffee and cake, excellent service and the dog even got a biscuit. Thank you.
Quirky non chain cafe, not many seats outside but if you can get a peg great for watching the boats on the canal.
Lovely place when the sun is shining good service good food and great outlook
Great place by the canal, good service and average prices
Great little cafe, quality food, well worth a visit for a piece of yhe old world good food experience. You won't be disappointed.
Great spot to sit, relax and enjoy the view after a long canalside walk.
Lovely place .sat outside the service was great as the place got busy being a sunny bank holiday. Very helpful to me and my dad as we are both disabled. We will be back . The food was really good and not over priced many thanks for great service .
Lovely cafe, with friendly staff. The food is nice and cooked well. They do have gluten free options but now many.
