Great kitchen, nice stuff, beautiful pub and garden.. I like it ❤️
Visited this place on a Sunday. Food was superb. Staff were really friendly and attentive. Calzone was lovely and the beef roast was also great. They also have a lady working there from the Ukraine 🇺🇦 Who was really really good to our children. 100% recommended.
Great food, their lunch menu 11-3pm is £7 and the portion size is great. There’s plenty of shade in the very large garden and has a bouncy castle slide aswell a swings. Great for families
We had a really nice Roast (pork belly) dinner here on Sunday. Lots of flavour and well seasoned. Very friendly staff too. Just a shame only 1 real ale available on that particular day.
Great staff Great beer Nice food. But too much choice to be good at all of them Update Been coming last few months and the food is really good again. I love this pub Returned twice this winter and today. Lovely spring day, great sunny garden and a fantastic ale
Nice pub good beer good beer garden for kids but the food seems to have dropped in standard a little from our last visit. They seem to have stopped doing roasts which were great. The current menu was okay and the food was alright but previously it was much better. Nearly gave them 3 stars but though
We chose The George Evelyn to host our 70th at the weekend with appx 100 guests. The venue was perfect with a large garden with play area to occupy our many grandchildren. The buffet was excellant really top notch. But what stood out was the management and staff, nothing was too much trouble. They
Editing this since we have now eaten twice since they moved away from being gluten free. The food has vastly improved, the burger being one of the best I have had. Prices seem to be far more in line with what you would expect at a local pub for both food and drink. It's good to have a proper local p
Veg burger was really delicious as was everyone else's food. Great vibe, good service. Awesome slide in garden for kids.
With so many cafés and bars closed and my son at a sports course this week I wanted to find somewhere comfortable and with good coffee to settle down and get some work done. The George Evelyn was perfect. Roger, who I assume is the landlord the way locals greeted him so warmly, provided a genuinely
Met up with some old friends here a couple of days ago; my first ever visit. Nice pub, nicely refurbished. Huge beer garden with bouncy castle and swings so loads of families and kids. You have been warned! Good pub food and nice ales if you're into that. Would definitely go again.
Lovely place. Love the garden. Friendly staff. Inconsistent prices though. 2 people in our group ordered the same drinks but paid different prices!?
New owners, new staff & new pub garden. Everything has been decorated to a high standard & the food is Gluten free. Dog friendly also. A lovely public house which you must visit.
Has changed hands again, but for a first post-lockdown pint they had everything under control, and a lovely beer garden that was relaxing (not full of people going hard on the booze). Pizzas from the wood-fired oven looked GOOD!
