Beautiful interior; from the restaurant design to the cups. The atmosphere, music, and service were on point. As the evening progressed, the lights dimmed, and more lounge music was played. The food was delicious and would recommend the lamb swirls. They also catered for an allergy and had an allergen menu prepared prior to arrival. The downstairs space was a little more cosy and seemed like a nice date venue.

It‘s a hidden gem near soho. Nice interior and good taste. We order 2 plates each and a dessert to share. My favorite is aubergine heart and lamb swirl. Will definitely revisit next time! ;)

Kapara is all about good looking modern Middle Eastern food, with an emphasis on design and aesthetics. The food is about contrasts – citrus with smoke, soft with crunch – which, for the most part, made each dish interesting. The weekend lunch menu is available from 12pm to 6pm offering two courses (£29) or three courses (£39) per person. The portions are a good size for being a fixed menu. There are four starters, five mains, two sides and two desserts to choose from. The squid and black was okay, lots of crunch but a bit dry. The schnitzel is highly recommended- crispy and full of flavour. Dessert wise the bridgette is yummy - the soft semolina sponge, crunchy pistacho and soft nectarine is a great combination. Lunch seems to be a prelude to dinner at Kapara were the restaurant comes alive and the vibe is energetic with high tempo music. The table service is efficient and warm. Asked to be seated on the ground floor level and the basement seating does not enjoy the open space as the floor above. In summary, Kapara's food is good but it is too polished to be at all edgy.

Wonderful dining experience in modern trendy restaurant serving food with great flavours and textures. Separate vegan menu available including Hispi Cabbage, Braised aubergine, chilli Broccoli and flatbread with hummus. Cool vibe with bright colours and catchy music. Excellent service from Ivan (a guy from Brazil who was as trendy as the restaurant) and the kitchen staff downstairs who you can see on the way to the loos - which themselves are an experience - feels a bit like a secret nightclub! Every dish felt like it was prepared with care and love. Great choice of wines (some a little pricey!) including a few from Israel. Highly recommended

Had a lovely meal here catching up with some old friends / ex work colleagues, lived the food, the cocktails, and the staff was absolute professionals! So tentative and we’ll trained. Felt very well looked after.

Food is good and tasty but the menu is rather limited, not sure what was from Israel cuisine there. Service was pleasant. Prices are on the higher end considering the portions size. But! They have a big issue of mice that were running around our table non stop! Guys, you shall do smth as it is not fun to be around mice while having dinner outside! Also music is too loud inside, can’t hear people at the same table.

Came here for dinner one night and the food was incredible. It was easily the best hummus I’ve ever had and I didn’t know cabbage could taste so good. They had quite a few vegan options however half of them weren’t available, hence the 4 star rating. The atmosphere was great and the staff were friendly.

Really good experience. Came for business lunch and ordered 5 different plates, which was more than enough. Flavours were delicious, especially the Prawn Baklava which is divine. Will definitely come again!

I visited on 05/11/2023 and this is a really fantastic restaurant. The staff were so lovely and attentive. They recommended dishes to try and were very friendly too. On Sunday, Chloe looked after us well as well as her lovely manager. Food is perfect and I can highly recommend the Prawn Baklava, Aubergine Mess as well as the market greens salad. The atmosphere in the restaurant was good with tasteful music. The open kitchen downstairs creates a relationship between the chefs and the customers which I thought was great. After our meal the chef was happy to chat through the dishes and was also very friendly! Highly recommended

I love Israeli food so had been wanting to visit Kapara for a while, and it didn’t disappoint. The interior is newly renovated and absolutely gorgeous, down to the menus and tableware. Our server was approachable, knowledgable and responsive despite the venue being super busy, and all dishes were delicious. The hummus was silky smooth and the bread was super fresh; other standouts were the aubergines with date syrup and tahini, and the chicken thighs (or Crispy Crunchy Bums as they’re referred to on the menu). The dishes are inventive and the whole vibe is pretty playful and tongue in cheek; this is a restaurant that gives the impression of not taking itself too seriously, while showing immense attention to detail. I wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend.

Brilliant food, very unusual, but incredibly good and the cocktails were similarly good (and unusual). The staff are really lovely and the vibe is chilled yet buzzing! Can’t wait to go back again 👏👏

Found this completely by chance and so glad we did. The staff are all friendly and welcoming, the decor is stunning, clean, fresh toilets. Huge outside area. We just stayed for a quick drink as we were going to the theatre and we went back afterwards. We were greeted like old friends which was lovely. We had some nibbles, the breads were delicious. The cocktails were lush. Would certainly recommend and revisit again, loved every bit of it.

The food here was up to our expectations, matching the quality of Bala Baya. All the dishes were incredibly well seasoned with lovely textures and complementary flavours. Staff were good too. It has a nice atmosphere for a date or a night out with friends. Highlights were the bread to start and the Tomatoes all the way

Had an excellent meal here. Really interesting menu & high quality food which was expertly cooked. We sat out in the huge covered & heated courtyard which must be a rare feature for central London. Service was friendly and our dishes served in good time. 5 ‘plates’ to share between 2 people was about right. The standout dishes were the braised beef hummus with pillowy soft pitta breads. I could have just eaten this for dinner & left happy. The lamb belly with stewed plums had great flavour, as did the aubergine heart. Hispi cabbage a decent side. Prawn baklava interesting - glad I tried but not sure I’d get again. Pita chips fine as a nibble. Tried the gazoz to drink (lemon & rose with gin) which was nice.

Ate at Baya Bala so I was most excited when I found out Kapara is the sister restaurant when invited for brunch. Honestly the food didn’t disappoint at all and was an interesting but delicious combination. Their take on the sticky toffee pudding was delightful. The interior is fantastic. The only problem was the service. It was very slow and not great if you have places to be. Staff also seemed quite unfamiliar with the menu.

Wonderful showcase experience here. LOVE the decor - even the bathroom tiles showcasing genitalia. Such a warm and friendly environment with a huge outdoor area just perfect for summer gatherings.

We had an excellent brunch today. We tried between us all just about everything on the brunch menu. It was all delicious. Some of our group hadn’t been before and they were so impressed by the tastes and the staff who were very friendly and helpful. Also we thought it is a very good value brunch. Highly recommend.

An absolute pleasant lunch in this Bala Baya’s sister restaurant which offers a more sophisticated menu. Loved every dish out of the 8 we had and it’s an absolute steal with the soft launch offer. Services are at par with restaurants of similar quality level. If the restaurant keeps its standards, it’ll be a rising star soon! And I’ll certainly come back! Good job team!
