Chets is a delightful culinary secret nestled within Hoxton Hotel. The food here is a pure delight, bursting with flavors that truly tantalize the taste buds. Notably, the pineapple rice is a standout, offering a vibrant and flavorful experience. The portion sizes for each dish are quite generous, so sharing a couple of them between you will leave you completely satisfied.
The customer service provided by the staff is both warm and inviting. In particular, Danny, who served us, was enthusiastic and incredibly helpful when it came to navigating the menu, guiding us toward the best dishes it had to offer. To top it off, their Chet’s bloody Caesar was perfectly crafted, adding an extra layer of excellence to our dining experience. As I departed Chets today, I couldn’t help but feel enticed to return and explore their breakfast and dinner menus.
Amazing restaurant, great service and good food.
Ideal to go with friends or on a date.
Decoration is superb.
Food is nice, try coconut fish curry or pineapple rice.
Price is medium 20-30 pounds per person.
Remember to book online.
Very good location just in shepherd's Bush.
Out of this world! Amazing food, staff that actually cares about your experience, such a well run restaurant! The decor is beautiful, amazing open plan kitchen, and delicious delicious food. My favourite is the coconut fish curry which is so fresh and creamy, the fish melts in your mouth. The cocktail which was reminiscent of a Bloody Mary was bloody delish as well. Overall, don’t know why I didn’t come sooner.
Keep it up, we will be back soon!
This place has now become one of my favourite brunch spots in London!
I randomly discovered this place on Instagram one day just scrolling through my feed and saw a foodie influencer promoting it. I thought the food looked pretty decent and I like the Thai/ American fusion concept so I thought I would give it a go. I came here with a friend for brunch on the last day of this heatwave week in London so was extremely happy to be walking into the reception area feeling the full on air conditioning.
We ordered the chicken n roti waffles and pineapple fried rice to share, as well as one iced Americano and iced latte. The fried rice portion was absolutely massive! Amazing value for money and not to mention how well fried the rice was, not oily and not mushy at all. The pineapple made it really refreshing to eat and I couldn't help but to keep munching. The fried chicken was well-cooked in a thin batter and lots of juicy meat, with the roti waffles they went so so well with the tom yum sauce. It's such a creative dish that both my friend and I enjoyed so much we just couldn't stop eating! The coffees were really good too, my Americano was strong and smooth and I really liked it.
This place has legit food and drinks and I can't recommend more! It's such good value too as we each paid £20.50 so for London prices this was very affordable and decent.
Service was great, attentive staff who were all very approachable and smiley. And not to mention the vibes it's kind of vintage 80s American diner atmosphere and I love the colour palette for the interior design.
Because it's so new and relatively unknown it was quiet and empty while we were there and so we spent 3 hours without being rushed at all. I would absolutely love going back more often before it receives its well-deserved social media fame sooner or later!
Quite the unusual combination: a diner styled place with a bougie decor and an eclectic menu!
Tucked in the Hoxton, the place offers a very nice atmosphere with a choice of tables or booths.
Both the presentation of the dishes and the flavours makes the menu a surprise.
The tingling onion is A MUST 😍
Of all the Hox hotels, this one has the best food. I had the green curry with rice and it was so fresh and healthy. Full of flavor and the wine selection for what’s available by glass can’t be beat.
Really tasty Thai inspired menu. We’ve been for brunch and dinner and had excellent food & service every time - Danny in particular has been amazing! Great value. Would definitely return!
Had an amazing vibey meal with amazing service from Denny! Loved hearing is recommendations and enjoyed the food he recommended.
Lovely atmosphere and decor also
Here’s what I recommend and don’t recommend:
The lamb 8/10 delishhh
Green curry 10/10 getttt it
Pie apple rice 9/10 delicious but very big so perfect to share
Cream pie 8.5/10 gotta try it
Ribs 0/10 super tough and not tasty
Diner style, fun Thai food. The service here is really good. The waiter was super helpful with regards to what to go for and let me know when something I had picked with super spicy! (The crispy rice salad was just abit too much for me even done mild)!
The flavours are nice and you get generous portion sizes. The lobster pad thai- the pad thai was lovely... the lobster comes in the shell and i actually think if the meat was tossed in with the pad thai it would be just so flavoursome.
We have been meaning to go here since March.
The breakfast and brunch times are great and if you time it right you can order from both menus. See menu picture.
The vibe and atmosphere is amazing as you’d expect from a Hoxton, definitely subtle yet cool which is different from the other London offerings.
No reservations but plenty of seating.
Our host was excellent, tentatively and very welcoming. A delightful human.
I ordered the oats which was sweet and crunchy. Well worth ordering.
My favourite was the mushroom and cheese roti. Fantastic with flavour and a slight kick of spice.
The house batch filter is fantastic and a good recommendation from our host.
Everything is slick and new in this location with subtle touches with perfect temperature and cool vibes.
Will definitely check out the bar in the future.
Well priced and excellent service.
Recommended.
Fabulous atmosphere! The restaurant is on the ground floor of Hoxton hotel and has an excellent interior. The food is lovely, thai style and the portions are quite big. Next time I will return for a brunch with friends. The staff is super friendly, chatty and accommodating
Chet’s is such a unique place. Retro diner vibe, with a Southeast Asian infused menu. I had a dinner and a breakfast here while I stayed at The Hoxton for three nights. I loved both. For inner I had the Fried Chicken Khao-Soi which was phenomenal, and for breakfast I had Chet’s Bodega sandwich that had a great Thai kick to it. Would absolutely come back to try more.
We enjoyed our meal at this interesting mix of Thai and American Diner. The Pineapple Fried Rice was as good as we had heard about, but the Sticky Spicy Rib lacked the flavor punch we were looking for, and the Tingling Onion could have had more spice to make it truly "tingling". I think this is a place where it matters what you order, so we may be back to try some other dishes to see if this can come up to a 5 star experience.
Really enjoyed chets! Highly recommend the pineapple rice and chicken and roti waffles. Delicious Thai/diner twist. Worth the visit and hoxton hotel is lush
Pretty restaurant and food was gorgeous!! A bit fusion american diner style. Love everything especially the fried onion, pineapple fried rice and dessert was nom! Cocktails are great too.
Honestly I’m really surprised the rating is not much higher. Being Thai myself the food is legit, while the Californian twist adds novelty to the dining experience. Each dish is well thought through and really flavourful. Staff is super nice in a chilled and effective-service type of way. Would definitely recommend Chet’s wedge, Waterfall lamb. Thai tea cream pie could be love or hate, but the authentic and intense Thai tea flavour brings me back to my childhood.
Would definitely return
I've been here for Thai and just the smash burger. Both times the staff have been great, and attentive. The food has been outstanding. The pineapple rice with crab in particular was delicious. As was the blooming onion and smash burger. The green thai curry was a little mild for my taste but it is American thai fusion so makes sense. I'll be back!
A combinaison of thaï and American cuisine. You’re suppose to order several courses and share them with the table.
I ate there twice and loved it each time. I think you should try it if you come visit London.
