Food was very tasty. Price was reasonable, we got some udon and curry with rice at around 10 pounds each. Also had bottomless ice cream for dessert. The toilets were also amazing, which is weird but you'll know if you try it. The food was also prepared in front of you, and the tables were very comfo
The chicken katsu curry is really good! It goes really well with their thick and soft Udon. Good selection of sides, drinks, and even have beer on tap. Seats are plenty and clean and has an outside area.
If you're stranded in Waterloo and fancy a nice sit-down warm meal, definitely give a try!
I really love this branch of Marugame Udon, it's my favourite conveniently tucked upstairs in the corner of Waterloo Station. Tonight I was served by the lovely Lara, highest compliments for her attentive service, positive attitude, smile and hospitality towards me, I was confused about some allerge
A branch of the Marugame chain. The large bowl of Chicken or Salmon Teriyaki is enough to fuel you for half a day. Generous servings and reasonable prices.
Delicious chicken katsu curry udon and kakiage in a lovely environment. I like the sauce and drinks station topping up with other little bits like spring onions and tempura pieces. I also like that you can see a live stream of chefs cooking and the relaxing nature imagery. It was surprisingly quiet
Udon are think and chewy. They are really delicious. They have a couple of vegan option. I had the kimchi udon. Tempura was ok but a bit soggy, especially the broccoli one. Staff were helpful and kind. Original Japanese toilet was a great touch.
i like this place and i've eaten here a few times now! the udon noodles here are really good and great for when you're on a budget. it's not the best udon i've had in london but its canteen-style is convenient, i often come here before or after a film screening. last time i was here i got the beef c
So lucky to come across Marugame at Waterloo station! Friendly staff, good atmosphere, and the taste of udon is almost the same as when I had in Japan. I will definitely come again.
An absolute gem if you love udon ramen, tempura or chicken katsu curry. Friendly staff, delicious low cost food and a playful authentic Japanese setting, Marugame is worth a visit even if you don’t need to be in Waterloo.
The “outdoor” seating (outside the restaurant, but still inside the station)
Me and my friend were very greedy... hungry and scurrying for food. Classic order of small Fish Kake... wasn't enough.. had a small BK Cold... nice and chilled, the smoky fish dashi sauce was delectable and the tangy citrus shavings shocked my senses. But Kake wins my taste buds...
Only went here because of the exclusive breakfast. One time they didn't have tempura bacon so had to revisit to try.
Overall, everything was good but they done have hot tea and hot water machine was also broken.
The sauces pump could be better as sauces come out messy.
The food tasted really good and delicious with succulent meat it was so tastey that the udon noodles were the best and consistently potioned. I have tried most of the disis here. I honestly could say all was great and value for money.
Probably the best Marugame location I’ve been to. The food is always consistently delicious at any of the Marugame restaurants in London but it’s the people and customer service at this location that makes it stand out. The staff were so friendly and accommodating and nothing asked was too much for
The soup is always too salty for my preference. However, the udon is nice and chewy and has never made me disappointed. Pumpkin Koroke is my all time favorite
Such a good spot! Didn’t realise it was actually inside the station but if you sit inside you wouldn’t know anyway. School cafeteria style, get a tray and order. I had the special with the octopus balls, so good! The tempura station is really good too (sign up to their club for 2 free tempuras). Lov
