Staff were super helpful, nice and patiently explained to me the different pasties they sell. I tried the all thing bagels which was really good and the raspberry danish and it was good as well. Bought a baguette for home and had a sandwiches with it and everyone like the bread. It took me time to arrive there but it worth it.
So good! Went here early on Saturday morning right when it opened and only had to queue for a few minutes. They had a mix of savoury and sweet pastries and a bunch of different breads. The Everything Bagel croissant was an absolute Highlight, it was so good! But honestly every pastry was really good and well crafted. We also got two varieties of bread which were crispy on the outside and soft and moist inside. The staff was super friendly and patient. Will definitely come back to try more!
10/10 service. 10/10 laminated pastries. 10/10 flavors. Im a huge fan of bread and pastries & got to say hands down to my best bakery in London!!! Traveled 1hr - twice - just for them and foresee will head back again. Their laminated pastries are so flaky and crisp (even after half day) and flavors are so on point -not overpowering. Recommend the everything bagel, morning buns & apply custard danish!
TOAD Bakery in London is a must-visit!
Their Cornbread Croissant 2.0 is absolutely stunning - the flavour and ingredient balance are spot on. The bakery offers a diverse range of products, but this croissant alone makes it worth the trip.
The cool logo and name add to the charm.
💯 Highly recommended!
It is gorgeous, the reason why I forgot to take a pic of the bread is becos I ate them all the way home, they can’t be even wait for a bit for the photo. Anyway, I had the danish, the breakfast bun the yellow bun ( I forgot the name) they are lovely. Very original and. They bakery is always have a short queue outside, so please reserve 15mins for the line.
Always a pleasure visiting Toad Bakery! They have a selection of bread and pastry that is available on a regular basis. Then you'll get a selection that will change from time to time depending on the season of the year.
I have been a few times already and never been disappointed. Be prepared to queue for 10 - 15 minutes as it's a popular place. In my opinion it is worth queuing for.
Incredible bakery - so many tasty treats. Friendly, helpful staff. Super strong filter coffee, good music and good vibes. Me and my husband tried a range of sweet and savoury baked-goods and everything looked and tasted perfect. Can’t wait to return!
Been seeing a lot of reels on Instagram about this bakery so of course I had to go and try it out myself, being a massive fan of pastries (particularly croissants).
I went there during the Easter weekend on the Saturday and got there around half 12. Was very happy to see that there were plenty of pastries available, as I had assumed that it would have been too late since most have been to recently tend to run out of pastries by 12noon.
I got a lot of things to go - plain croissant, chocolatine, cinnamon bun, apple & custard Danish and the everything bagel croissant. OMG - literally EVERYTHING was phenomenal! My personal favourite has got to be the plain croissant, the second best I have had in London bakeries so far (after Cedric Grolet)! If you have a look at the cross section from my photo, you can see how well done the lamination was, and it's light, airy and fluffy in the middle and super flaky on the outside. The same croissant dough was presumably used for the bagel croissant and the chocolatine, extremely delicious and high quality! Apple & custard Danish was such a comfort food item for me, mildly sweet and pleasant, obviously super flaky too. Cinnamon bun was also soft and fluffy.
The staff member who served me was very nice and friendly. The only down side is that it's a very small shop so there are only outdoor seatings available. So it's more of a grab & go kind of bakery, particularly on rainy days.
Overall, I had a really good experience at this bakery and I am DEFINITELY coming back to try all the other pastries!
A small bakery putting out some fun and inventive flavours for baked goods. The everything bagel croissant looked great but sold out before I got to the front. Go early if you want to get something specific.
The team and service is friendly and very laid back. Has a fun college like vibe in a good way. Would come back to try more items. I biked all the way from Shoreditch...you know it was worth it.
Ahhhhhhhhh. Why can’t toad be in Sydney?? I stayed in Peckham for a week, just around the corner from this little gem of a place.. I ate here only once but wish I visited more often. The pastries are amazing, so many unique flavours and combinations - evidently made with love. The staff are friendly and overall it was a wholesome experience. Expect to queue up, cause these guys are busy! And once you try it you’ll realise why!
