Overall rating: 4.5
Please note I’m a tourist in writing this review. I’m surprised this spot has such low ratings. This is the best fish and chips I’ve had. It’s so crispy!
Super expensive spot, but I’m just assuming all Gordon Ramsay’s spots are expensive? The server was so nice. The only weird thing is I asked for takeaway & she said she doesn’t do it. But then as I was leaving, I saw her give a takeaway box to another table. 🤨
So odd.

The restaurant is spacious and well designed, the atmosphere is comfortable and peaceful. The menu doesn't have much options. We ordered burger and pasta dishes for the kids, tasty dishes nothing special. We ordered a shrimp cocktail that was delicious but lacked flavor. We also ordered roasted cod and chicken wings as well an average no more. In addition we' ve got fish and chips that were a bit greasy.
We ordered rosé and white wine, we got two bottles! The waiter doesn't ask whether to bring you a glass of wine or a bottle. Maybe my mistake but I would expect a waiter in a well-respected restaurant to clarify the situation for diners in such a situation and especially when he sees us with three small children:
so we paid almost £ 100 just for wine we barely drank.
They also offering steaks, dry age sirloin and rib eye that cost about £43 per serving. Beef wellington is also served for two for the price of £110.
Note: kids eat free.
The food quality is really good. I highly recommend the starter (Tamarind Chicken Wings), they were phenomenal! I ordered the fish and chips, which was great. The waitress who was serving us was not great. She did not have great knowledge and didn't seem to understand our requests, whilst the other waiters/waitresses did. Overall a good place to eat.
Step into a realm of unparalleled excitement and indulge in the extraordinary experience of London's newest shopping and leisure destination - the reimagined Battersea Power Station. This iconic Grade II* listed landmark, now transformed into a vibrant mixed-use neighborhood, has captured the essence of innovation and elegance.
Among the array of enticing establishments, one culinary gem stands out: "Gordon Ramsay Bread Street Kitchen and Bar." As a seasoned food critic, I had the pleasure of visiting this renowned restaurant, nestled within the heart of this dynamic location, and it left an indelible mark on my taste buds.
The stylish and inviting ambiance of the restaurant immediately caught my attention upon arrival. The blend of historic charm and modern touches created an atmosphere that exuded sophistication and warmth. However, I must admit that the strong and unpleasant odor of fish in the air was quite appalling. When I inquired about it, a staff member acknowledged the issue, attributing it to ventilation problems in the old building of the Battersea Power Station. As a patron, I found this explanation unsatisfactory, as it detracted from the overall dining experience.
Despite this initial setback, the attention to detail in the decor and layout of the restaurant was commendable, contributing to a delightful place to unwind and enjoy a meal.
Moving on to the menu, meticulously crafted by the chef, it showcased a fusion of delectable flavors and innovative culinary techniques. Each dish presented was a work of art, pleasing both the eyes and the palate. However, I was disappointed to find that both side dishes, the Buttered Spinach, and Honey Roasted Carrots, were served cold instead of the expected warmth. I brought this to the attention of Vlad, the manager, who graciously acknowledged the mistake and promptly replaced the dishes. The prompt response and willingness to rectify the issue were commendable and a testament to the restaurant's commitment to customer satisfaction.
The service, overall, was impeccable, with special recognition for Kuwar, whose knowledge of the menu and willingness to offer recommendations enhanced the dining experience.
In conclusion, my visit to "Gordon Ramsay Bread Street Kitchen and Bar" at the Battersea Power Station was a mix of highs and lows. While the ambiance and culinary artistry were noteworthy, the issue with the odor and the temperature of the side dishes did detract from the overall experience. Nevertheless, the restaurant's attentive service and their gracious gesture of removing our drinks from the bill in light of the inconveniences demonstrated a commitment to their patrons' satisfaction. With a few improvements, this exceptional establishment has the potential to shine even brighter in London's most exciting new destination.
The food lived up to my expectations!!! I had the Caesar salad and it was delicious!!! They somehow made the Mushed peas taste good which was a pleasant surprise!!! And I loved the bread and butter!! Overall a nice place and not too expensive to get Gordon Ramsay approved food.
Service was great, and staff were well trained.
We selected the brunch menu, and it was fabulous.
Unfortunately, the downside of going to this fab restaurant is that I will not be able to eat Sticky toffee pudding anywhere else as this one was the best I have ever tasted.
The food was amazing but unfortunately the service could of been better as they acted a little different towards us probably because we are young adults but we didn't act any different we still ordered expensive things so I don't see why we should have got treated differently. Another little thing was we ordered a bread basket to share but it came with the tiniest amount of butter what wouldn't of even been enough for one person
Another Ramsey success! This is such a fun restaurant with an 'easy' feel to it. The menu and food are first class. Six of us had a number of the dishes, and all were delicious. Try the roast Cod with red wine sauce -fab. My wife had the crispy duck salad and said it was perfect. Deserts were fab too. The serving team are delightful and service was slick. Highly recommended.
Great value for money, ask for the lunch time menu, 2 course for £20. Or 3 course for £24.50
Will definitely be coming back
We had the pleasure of dining here after receiving gift vouchers for Christmas. The whole experience was a pleasure from the start. Situated within the newly opened Battersea Power Station, the restaurant is easy to find on the top floor next to the Lift 109 gift shop.
Walking in, the staff were very friendly and showed us to our table, they were very attentive throughout and filled our glasses if they noticed they were empty. Our waitress was Aimee and she was superb and made sure we were ok throughout our meal.
I had pork belly with a side of honey carrots and mash potato and my husband had sirloin steak and chips. Both meals were cooked to perfection and the pork was just melt in your mouth.
Very pleasant experience, Thank you very much.
We booked for our team dinner in this all brand new restaurant which is in itself in a renovated battersea power station. We were promptly seated to our seats. Seating was comfortable with good privacy. I had ordered canelloni, burrata and cheese cake. Burrata was the highlight - mozarella never tasted so soft and fresh in my a y of my past dining experiences, it nicely paired with Tomato based sauce, i thought it was a nice idea to have some almonds in that. Canelloni was spot on it had hints of fresh pesto sauce, lots of liquid and gooey cheese. Cheesecake was a bit latedown. It very airy and light for my taste, i prefer it more dense and more crumble. Overall it was a nice dining experience.
This isn’t just fabulous food it’s a memorable experience, professional friendly staff offering attentive service and genuinely a meal I won’t forget. Wings, wellington and cocktails all perfectly on point. What a fabulous birthday treat. Thankyou.
We popped in just after opening on a Saturday Morning. We didn't have a reservation and they were able to find us a table immediately.
We opted for the Potted Beef Brisket which was very tasty, but we were given different portions? Myself being given two of the crackers and my friend given only one?
The roast itself was very nice! The gravy could have been slightly thicker and the beef was grilled one side on both of ours.
Overall our visit was nice, but next time I visit Battersea I shall visit other.plsves before I am back.
