Fantastic English breakfast! I actually booked this hotel because of the nice reviews of the breakfast here, and it is great indeed.
Everything is perfect, especially the spiced sausage and black pudding. Nowadays most of the so-called full English breakfasts don’t even include black puddings and it’s my first time trying it.
I almost asked to bring the marmalade home but decided not to be Paddington Bear last minute. (Sorry for the food waste.)
May the super friendly staff have a wonderful and prosperous new year ^^

By the way, the brownies in the hotel pantry are actually good! Feeling addicted… is this heaven? Next time I should probably request a room further from the pantry to do some exercise on my way to snacks.
I visited this restaurant in 2019. Interior design of this restaurant was elegant. Foods were beautifully presented but wasn't taste great as they look like. I don't know if I wasn't hungry that much but I wasn't crazy about foods from here. I recommend you to try the English breakfast. That was my originally reason visited here but me and my friend ended up ordering other things. This place was quite pricy.
Brilliant afternoon tea! Honestly was so impressed with how lovely our visit was this afternoon.
For £35 each for standard afternoon tea in Central London this was incredible value, the food was delicious, really good selection and they provided vegetarian options. The service was so nice and friendly but not over the top, wish i'd taken the girls name as she was fantastic, they gave us a detailed description of each item in the meal and as it was quiet let us stay long after our booking slot checking on us here and there to order drinks. We stayed for an extra round of cocktails in there as its a very calm vibe with low background music, perfect for a catch up with friends.
Cannot recommend more for afternoon tea or even drinks as it's so hard to find nice places that are in Kings cross and not super loud /packed/ or crazy expensive. It was quiet in there for a Saturday, which is a shame, I feel like more people should know about this place, but we didn't mind that at all.
Also there are lifts to the restaurant and an accessible bathroom.
Highly recommend *****.
Very pleasant ambiance with old world class and modern fittings. Our server was efficient and friendly. We had brunch, which is good value with most menu items coming as expected or better. Good stop to refuel before a train journey.
What a beautiful location for afternoon tea. The ambiance was classy, professional but not pretentious. The service was genuine and thoughtful.
The food was the best part of our experience- unique selection of sweets and delicious sandwiches. We also got 2 scones each! They were all made with creativity, care and quality. Veggie options are available.
All afternoon tea was paired with loose leaf tea. I appreciate the menu was a decent size, not overwhelming at all! Will definitely be back
A lovely spot for brunch with friends. I had avocado on toast but requested a few changes which they agreed to. My friend had the vegan burger which was great and we then finished with dessert, Apple Tart tartin and Sticky plum pudding. Really delicious. The venue is amazing, really stylish and the waiters are so attentive. Really recommend this place!
First time in went on Saturday 14 October for drink on the first floor. It is an amazing place, amazing decor and amazing service. Very quiet for chatting what exactly I prefer me and my company. Keep going like that! I will come again!
What a simply fab experience. Let's start with the venue. We'll it designed very stylish on the high end and the photos I've added are just the common areas to give an idea on the swank of this place. The people are extremely attentive and smiles all round. The food is very high end and delivered in such style. If your wanting to impress then take them here.
I don't think people think or give a second thought that the building next to Kings Cross is a hotel, which is the first rail hotel in the country. It's been renovated and the current design and interior are a direct homage to its heritage.
RAILS Restaurant & Little Bar is no different and the restaurant offers modern British cuisine with a touch of French.
The restaurant is on the 2nd floor and offers a window view of the station or the outside.
The menu is mouthwatering, but I recommend asking for the dish of the day.
That day when I came, they were serving some quite delicious types of fish.
As a starter, I had the backed Marcellin with amazing truffle honey, but having cheese for a starter might not be everyone's taste.
With the main, we had some green, truffle mashed, and some macaroni and cheese.
Pair the first with hade some white wine. As a homage to both the British and French connection, I was forced (not really) to have the cheese board.
And yes they come with the cheese trolley and you can select the type of cheese you want.
If you don't know your cheese better ask for a taster as some of them are quite a strong flavor and taste.
The staff was amazing and very interactive, and if you were not sure why you want they'll help you out.
Intimate yet lively atmosphere.
Loved the French touch.
Amazing mussels with French fries.
If you like cheese… do not miss their cheere trolley (British and French).
Inexpensive wine options.
Good breakfast options and friendly staff. They recommended reservations for breakfast but didn’t have any problems getting a table at 7:15 AM during my stay.
Possibly the best dining experience I've had in 2018. Everything was just right. Atmosphere of the restaurant is great, and the seating very comfy and felt like your own space, not too cramped or close to anybody else. Crispy pork belly and hand picked Devon crab were both delicious. The beef wellington to share was absolutely unbelievable and one of the best I've ever had. Proper thick slices too. Plum and spilt milk desert was good, but anything after the the beef wellington was going to be a slight comedown. The service is also fantastic - friendly and not pompous or snobby like some places. Would very highly recommend.
How this area of London has changed in the past 15 years - a huge improvement. The GNH is a beautiful boutique hotel but this is a review for its restaurant.
A Saturday afternoon spent here in lovely, railway station themed surroundings. The furniture in the small adjacent bar is beautiful and the whole place has a yesteryear charm. The dining room itself has floor-to-ceiling windows; lots of natural light and great views over St Pancras and Kings Cross.
The staff are really friendly and genuinely seem to enjoy working here. A couple of mistakes were dealt with superbly. Great food and a wonderful ambiance. Highly recommended!
Service was great.
Smiling happy staff!
The level of service is wonderful.
The food was really good with an excellent choice for lunch.
Wine was good and served at table which was a nice touch.
Dessert trolley again to table.
Concentration on good smiling staff who are helpful so unusual and for the price wonderful.
Birthday dinner. Excellent attentive and efficient service. Great food for all diet types - carnivore, vegan and vegetarian all catered for. Love the theme decor. 5 stars.
Great food, right between Kingscross and St Pancras. The Flat Iron Steak was delicious, and my father had the Pork Chop which he said was fantastic. Definitely return for another meal.
This is a lovely, comfortable and stylish restaurant. It's quite upmarket so the prices are higher than average. The food we had was tasty, but a bit overpriced for what we had. My roasted aubergine dish was basically a can of chickpeas in a spicy tomato sauce with two tiny pieces of roasted aubergine on top. It was tasty enough but I expected something a bit more interesting for the price.
Service was pretty good, and the waiter helped us choose the wine, which was lovely. It was quiet when we had our dinner so if it was busier I don't know if we'd have got the same attention. It was also very nice to have a cloakroom for our coats.
It's certainly a good place to have a business lunch or dinner. It feels quite private. The tables are generous in size so there's room for laptop/notebook and food. There are sockets near the dining tables too so you can charge your phone or laptop and it's very convenient for Kings Cross St Pancras stations.
