LOVE! we’ve tried Din Tai Fung in California and wanted to give this spot a try. It did not disappoint! As usual, the most amazing Dim Sum around. The staff is amazing and this restaurant was particularly hip at beautiful being on the second floor with giant windows on Oxford Street. We tried many dishes including the Pork and Shrimp dumpling soup, garlic green beens, the port soupy dumplings (my fav!), the mushroom dumplings, shrimp fried rice, and Dan Dan noodles. We completed the meal with the chocolate and red bean dumplings. AMAZING! Even if you aren’t a big fan of Chinese food, give this spot a try. It is so good it’s mind blowing!
This is my fourth time eating in a Din Tai Fung in the UK. My first experience was in Taiwan back in 2017. They never lets me down!
Great tasting fresh food with a lot of variety. Their noodles are just as incredible as the dumplings. At this point, I've tried almost everything on the menu.
The spicy noodles with the prawn dumplings were everything you could wish for in a dish. Packed full of flavour yet, at the sametime, tastes homemade. It's one of those dishes where you're like, "I need to now get this every single time". Go and check it out, you won't be disappointed.
Food was very authentic Taiwanese. I was hoping this was on the higher floors, though it is on the second floor. The decor is great. The establishment really has a modern Far Eastern vibe. There are lots of staff, as the restaurant became busy, the staff still had time to wait on my parties various demands. This place does a huge choice of rice, noodle and soup bowls. The speciality were their xiao bao buns and xiao long bao buns.
The pork ribs were cold but this did not finish their taste.
The robot is a friendly little character who helps the waiters with dirty plates but unfortunately does not take diners orders!
One of the best options in London to eat Dimsum. I go there from time to time, and quality is always assured. I recommend to book in advance in all of their venues. This one in particular is the most fancy, and great to go with friends.
The menu is surprisingly small with much fewer stir fry, soup, or steamed selections. At least the taste is up to the standard.
Service, however, is not as good as those in Asia and California. No one gave us any water after we sat down and ordered. Even worse, one waiter knocked over my friend’s vinegar dish and almost spilled on her phone. He left with a quick quiet sorry and didn’t even provide additional napkins to clean up the table. The next shift seems to have more initiative and friendly. I miss the more experienced ladies at other locations.
The soy sauce and vinegar is not on the table but added by the waiters 😅
It’s my time trying Ding Tai Fung in London, as I always have it when I return home or before I depart. The experience here is interesting…
Great experience with fantastic service, food, and atmosphere. This upscale Chinese restaurant has a lovely entryway, and we were seated promptly at our reservation time. The servers were helpful and without being intrusive, and the dishes all came out quite quickly (occasionally aided by robots!). Some dishes were slightly smaller than expected, others larger, but we had ample to eat. Lovely atmosphere and views throughout too.
Booking really is a must for busy times.
Ate here during Mothers day. Made a reservation weeks before as when we tried to eat here without reservation. We were told that we have to wait for 30minutes or more.
I've always wanted to eat here as I am a big fan of xiao long bao and they did not disappoint me.
There spicy wanton taste great as well and the egg fried rice too.
Overall all the food taste amazing and the service was good.
Bought there pen souvenir as it was so cute.
Randomly walked by it and decided to grab quick lunch. Very gorgeous decor and big venue. Good for small to big group. Food was great and service was very nice. Drinks were a bit too sweet on my taste but that’s ok. Good simple friend rice too. I would try other locations and see.
Had a good quick dinner before 5pm… Great to see all smiling faces from reception and waiter/waitress.
Thanks to Noé, led us to the table and came back later took our order. Great initiative from Jasmine, always check in and get our food whenever the table was empty…
Beef XLB 2 of 4 were broken the moment the cover was opened… suppose to be a surprise…
Signature Pork XLB … alright..?
String bean my all time favorite…
Prawn pancake was light yellow not golden
SC noodle took more than 20 minutes to cook?
Custard lava bun… seems the egg oil and custard was separated, maybe it is what it is…
Had enjoyed the Friend and Family drink privilege… Hope every friend enjoy their time working and personal growing professionally…
Delicious meal as always at Din Tai Fung. This was our first experience at the Centre Point location (near Tottenham Court Road station) and the restaurant is light, airy and modern.
We started with a fresh and delicate Elderflower Blush cocktail and a glass of their Riesling (highly recommend). We tucked into pork & veg wontons in a chicken broth, and mushroom & truffle xiao long bao (our favourite dish), plus pork buns, chicken XLB, and a side of spinach - which was good but I was a bit surprised to find it it served cold, but tasty nevertheless.
The waiters were very attentive and efficient and the service pretty faultless.
First time trying Taiwanese food and it was a pleasant experience the signature dishes: beef noodles and dumplings with soup inside were very nice. Overall good balance of flavours not too salty or sweet and not overly spicy. I would go back and try some other dishes.
My friends and I are big fans of dimsum and Din Tai Fung. Generally, this location was pretty good. The atmosphere was very classy and felt upscale and the service was decently quick. My only qualm is that I didn’t think that there were actually that many dimsum options. Across my party, the 小龙包 were of course a hit. I’d recommend the cucumbers in spicy sauce/oil, the garlic string beans, and the egg custard buns. We also got the dan dan mian and noodles in sichuan sauce. I thought both were fine but the seasoning wasn’t amazing nor was it especially hot when served. Overall, it got the job done.
Chic restaurant which is great for dates and gatherings with friends or families. It's casual but the design is quite stylish here. With a lengthy menu of small plates to enjoy with your guests. The dumplings are handcrafted and solo diners will also like this restaurant. Where they can sit directly in front of staff hand preparing dim sum.
Food is great in this city. The food is very close to what the original taste in DinTaiFun. Though this is the first time I know there’s bubble tea in DinTaiFun. The ice roselle tea is great . The place is very nice and service is great . Our family had a great lunch and is a wonderful experience here in London
I went with my partner to Din Tai Fung, and I had a great time. The good experience started as soon as I got to the restaurant because there is a free cloakroom service, and you can leave your bags and coats with total peace of mind.
The restaurant is on the first floor, and the staff is incredibly professional and friendly. I noticed that the restaurant is immaculately clean (not common in the UK), and tables are nicely separated among each other, so your conversation will be private. The restaurant is modern, and the views are great.
I ordered a different set of dishes to try different things, and I loved the noodles and the jiaozi. Overall, food is little spiced, so flavours are delicate and easy to every mouth.
Drinks wise, finally I found a decent place in London with decent cocktails that aren't just sugar with alcohol! I tried a couple of cocktails, but I would fully recommend "Din" – delicious.
