Amazing Indian restaurant. Truly the best. Even the kids loved it. The waiters were very friendly and patient with us. The space is decorated beautifully with tiger murals. It might be a bit dark inside for some, but I Didn't mind it. It felt a little cramped because the tables were little close together, but the quality of the food made up for it.

My dining experience at "India 2 Best of the City" restaurant was a mix of delightful flavors and a few areas that could be improved. The meal began on a high note with the mixed platters of starters. The chicken was particularly impressive, boasting a perfect balance of tenderness and flavor. The mutton kebab also stood out with its well-marinated taste. Moving on to the main course, the keema Nan and garlic Nan were a bit underwhelming compared to the starters. They were decent in taste but didn't quite reach the same level of satisfaction. The Chicken Tikka masala, while well-cooked, leaned towards a sweeter profile that might not suit everyone's palate. The lamb curry, on the other hand, was a winner for me. Its medium spice level provided a satisfying kick, and the flavors were well-balanced. However, the chicken biryani was a disappointment. I had high hopes, but it ended up tasting more like flavored rice mixed with curry than an authentic biryani. The lack of distinct layers of flavors and the absence of aromatic spices left much to be desired. In conclusion, "India 2 Best of the City" offered a range of experiences with its dishes. While some, like the chicken starters and the lamb curry, left a positive impression, others, such as the chicken biryani, fell short of expectations. With a bit more attention to consistency and authenticity, the restaurant could elevate its dining experience to a more consistent level of excellence.

Ate here whilst staying nearby and the meal outshone all Indian restaurants I have visited previously. The Haryali Tikka chicken was particularly delicious!

We ordered express lunch - Thalli. We expected more items as the menu mentioned 'Thalli', however it was just a couple of items on thalli. So it wasn't a proper ' thalli' .The food was delicious. The service was great, the two gentlemen were knowledgeable about their cuisine and were able to make appropriate suggestions.

After deciding I wanted to treat myself to a dinner out, I looked up the local restaurants, I soon found The India and headed over. Lovely experience, food delicious and great portion sizes. Staff are attentive and friendly. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a nice evening out. I ordered the chicken korma, streamed rice and nan bread. I will be visiting again

Was surprised to find an affordable and high quality Indian in this area. Food was delicious and large portions (10.95 for main, 5.95 for side+ service charge ) With good deals for set menu's. Spacious restaurant too. Recommend!

Absolutely loved this restaurant. The staff were full of smiles and very attentive. The food was delicious, our waiter, seeing we were on a date night, made our naan bread into a heart shape! The atmosphere, music, and decor made for a wonderful, memorable experience. An absolute must to visit.

Really great little Indian restaurant food was tasty I enjoyed it . I really do like Indian food and I generally go to an Indian restaurant every time I’m in a big city all over the world it’s a little bit different than what I was used to alot milder spices. The only thing I could say is serve more ice with the drinks apart from that would definitely recommend keep up the good work guys

On a weekend break to London myself and my wife ate here on the 15th June . We had seen Darren Johns YouTube video and had read reviews . Initially had booked it for the day after but feeling hungry we called in First off all staff were very friendly and polite . We ordered the popadoms ,the mixed starter ,Rogan Josh and chicken shashlik . Portion sizes were big and the food was exceptional. The onion Bhajis were the best we have eaten as was the tender chicken shashlik Lovely atmosphere too . No rush at all , we asked for a break between starters and mains and I would recommend that as the food is so good you don’t want to rush Will be back soon .

Great restaurant in the city, superb Indian food. Lamb shank was excellent in a subtle but moreish saucy and the shared starter platter was outstanding. The paneer was the best I’ve had. Service was great and price was very reasonable for the area.

I eat here regularly - sometimes with friends, often alone. The food is excellent, as is the service. I have never found fault, and cannot recommend this place more highly. Shahan and his team run a top drawer restaurant.
