The food was delicious. Service was quick and friendly. I would recommend to eat here, if you like indian food. We had butter chicken, tandoori lamb, and chicken vindaloo.
Thank you
Food was amazing! Stumbled upon this place after a long day of exploring with no plan in place and everything was great. We shared a few plates and everything was delicious. Highly recommend.
A bit pricey but the food was excellent. Good customer service!
This was my first time eating Indian food so I don't have anything to compare this too. I ordered the #2 appetizer Sorry. (seekh kabob, chicken Tikka, and onion bahjee), spicy chicken Tikka masala, and a cobra lager. The staff was great. I left my sunglasses on the table and the waiter chased me 2 blocks to give them to me. That the staff in a nutshell. The appetizer was tasty, especially the bahjee. The pastry was light and crispy. The medium spice Tikka masala was the correct spice for me. It was as spicy as something in the US that would be called "hot" rather than "medium". Err on the side of medium unless you like very spicy food. The rice was well cooked and had a floral flavor. The food was just good.
Best Indian food in London. Generous portions. The waiters know how to make you laugh and do all they can to please you.
We wanted to sit outside but there was no space. So they sat us inside, gave us a drink until space opened up.
I left my laptop and they kept it all night safe for me. Next day they returned to me in perfect condition.
My wife has come here for almost 20 years and they've never changed!
This has been one of my favorite restaurants to come back to every time I visit the UK. I was so sad to see I thought it closed, but then just realized they changed their name from Noorjahan II to Shahjahan. Still seemed to have the same menu options, and the tandoori chicken didn’t disappoint! I will definitely keep coming back.
The food was delicious, and the service was amazing! We didn't even have to wait long to get our food and drinks, and the staff was really nice! I will definitely be back here, i really reccomend!!!
Great small Indian place near Lancaster Gate on the north side of Hyde Park. I ordered Lamb Saslik with the chutney side, and it came out sizzling hot. For those of you from the States, think fajitas without the side of beans. They have tandoori, biryani, and all other Indian favorites. The best meal I had in London.
The atmosphere was pretty calm and the ambience was better than what you'd expect from a restaurant that gets so crowded. I was pleased to see the range on the food menu. From the most popular dishes to the most niche ones, they serve it all.
Very comfortable space, great food and amazing service. Will definitely come back next time in London! Also, we had a very friendly experience.
I have eaten and enjoyed Indian cuisine across 3 continents now, I have no problems in saying this is hands down the BEST I have had spanning 3 continents. I will absolutely come back to this place again.
Amazing food and the waiters are exceptionally friendly. Highly recommend the place. Tip: Butter Chicken and cheese naam
Stopped by for an early dinner and ate inside although there is outside seating available. The service was exceptional. Everyone we met at the restaurant was very friendly, prompt and polite. Best of all the food was excellent. We had Saag Paneer, Chicken Tikka, naan, and a couple other dishes and everyone loved the food. A+ Would recommend again!
An absolute pleasure in every way. The food, the wine, the people, the staff, the ambience, everything. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. It's worth the flight. Forget Tower Bridge.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Shahjahan Indian Restaurant and I must say, it was an experience I won't soon forget. From the moment my party and I stepped through the doors, we were greeted with warm smiles and friendly hellos from the staff, especially Abdul, who went above and beyond to make us feel right at home.
But the real star of the show was the food. The lamb biryani was simply out of this world, with tender chunks of meat and fragrant rice that had us all swooning with every bite. And don't even get me started on the chicken curry—it was bursting with flavor and just the right amount of spice to wake up our taste buds without overwhelming them.
But what really impressed me was the attention to detail in every aspect of our meal. From the beautifully presented dishes to the timely and attentive service, it was clear that the team at Shahjahan takes pride in their work and truly cares about creating a memorable dining experience for their guests.
In short, if you're looking for an exceptional Indian restaurant with amazing food and impeccable service, look no further than Shahjahan. Trust me, your taste buds—and your stomach—will thank you.
Excellent food and prompt professional service. Humayun was particularly friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.
