A brilliant experience overall! Cool atmosphere and delicious food with interesting flavour combinations and modern twists. The staff was very friendly as well. Some dishes were slightly overpriced though, the large plates basically. Otherwise highly recommend! The sourdough with marmite butter was out of this world! Just keep in mind you’ll smell a bit smokey afterwards.

The corn was just okay, but the marmite toast was great... Almost like a savory French toast but not battered. Leeks probably star of the show but the merguez was fire as well. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu.

Hidden behind the main road in Dalston, it is a must-visit if you are a foodie! Loads of exceptionally delicious vegan options. The service was excellent and the dishes were really inventive. I ordered Longhorn Bavette, Friggitelli Peppers, Coal Roast Leeks and Burrata with broad beans. Everything was delicious with Leeks being my favourite dish. I'm already thinking of what to order next time.

Wow, what a surprise this was. Having read some of the other reviews, my expectations weren't super high but I found the food unique, creative, and outstanding. The leeks, "Marmite" sourdough, and hake especially were the highlights for me. Plates were bigger than most other restaurants I've been to with a similar sharing concepts, and we were absolutely stuffed. Service was wonderful (especially towards my pregnancy restrictions!) and the atmosphere was great. I especially loved how they played all the music from my youth, haha. Fantastic place for veggies and carnivores alike.

An ace spot for a good meal; had a lovely time sat outside on the terrace with a couple of glasses of wine and a few of the smaller plates on offer The place is a vibe on a sunny evening but looks like it’d good up well in less clement weather, and it’s always a little exciting seeing outdoor cookery in action, though the grunge heavy soundtrack was maybe a little on the nose, it’s still a super cool place to spend time Dishes for the most part were great; especially the tomatoes and green goddess dressing (the fresh herbs were great), merguez were stunning, and the prawns were flavourful. I’m not sold on the sourdough / marmite combo though, it was bitter to the point of being burnt tasting with a shaggy blanket of cheese doing a lot of the heavy lifting, but I guess that’s marmite for you! Service is a little lackadaisical but friendly It’s not quite on par with the Climpson’s version of Brat, in terms of atmosphere and gutsy cooking (for want of a better phrase) but I really appreciate the care all the veggies are given, with the cooking here being lighter and generally little more restrained I’d love a return visit with some bigger dishes to try

Food was amazing!! Such a cute outdoor place with grills and oven. Their sourdough is fantastic. Prefer this over most Sunday roast places in London. Portions are generally on the smaller end.

Being that Dalston is the centre of Cool ...it can be sometimes so cool that the places to be seen ,can be a little tricky to find ...and Acme Fire Cult is therefore a perfect fit....down a small alley from the edgy Kingsland Rd , the AFC can be for found - an uber trendy eaterie. Have to say apart from having to share a table outside, the food was delicious. Different in style but served with charm and good humour from the very engaging staff. The music was at a hipster level 10 ...which, to be honest, took away from the dining experience. That said , book early as this "secret" is already out there!

The permeated air is an instant turn on when you turn the corner and witness the incredible setting at Acme. Fire, Charcoal and exquisite food. We visited on a Saturday afternoon in which the vibe and atmosphere was incredible. The menu is like poetry difficult to choose, purely because of the immense choice available, we put ourselves slightly out of our comfort zone and decided to eat dishes that we wouldn’t ordinarily gravitate to immediately and boy was that a wicked idea the attention to detail in the food is absolutely incredible, the flavours are pickling and all the compliments match, the quality of the cooked ingredient perfectly, and whilst the bill may not be cheap, this is a full on dining experience, and in my opinion worth every single penny without doubt the best dining experience I’ve had this year.

We had the John Dory, prawns, bread (eat whilst hot a cheesy and marmite dream), mutton and coal leeks. Food was fab and came out with good timing. There were quite a few big groups which may have affected the service and its a little awkward if you share benches with others. But beer and food were faultless. Probably good for sharing as a group.

Really tasty food. Highly recommend the sourdough and marmite dish and the leeks dish. The lamb was also cooked to perfection.

Serious good and well thought dishes. The veggie dishes were impressive tbh. My favourite was mackerel 🐟. Sooooo good. It has a nice outside area that is heated, very important :). The ambient was nice , and it was rewarding to see them cooking in the fire pit with the nice smell of the roasted food. 4 adults with drinks: £208

I've been to a number of restaurants run by Daniel Watkins and Andrew Clarke, but this may be their best yet. It's great to see the emphasis on vegetables in a live-fire concept, although there are meat and fish dishes too.

Very good, fresh and inventive but I wish there would be more reliance on the flavour of the “fire” instead of the sauces on top. Smoked potatoes had no smokiness, which was a real disappointment, but other dishes were grilled to perfection. Devilled eggs were sadly without yolk which essentially made them cooked egg whites with sauce, another dish that could be improved. Would return.
