We went here for a Sunday roast. I have to say I was blown away! The food is fantastic. The open restaurant is a beautiful touch to an overall superb experience. I could have licked my plate clean! Fantastic service.
Look at this beast of a bottomless brunch @temperrestaurant Shoreditch. That massive plate of wonder was between two of us. The coal roasted, dry aged Galloway beef and pork burnt ends were insane, but it was all so good. We may have had quite a bit to drink but we’re still obviously still delightful! Gabi who looked after us was amazing! Highly recommend this place to the lovers of MEAT! 🥩🍖🥂
Wowi what a dinner. Miguel was an exceptional server for the evening, who was patient and kind and explained the menu very well. We went on a Saturday evening for a catch up dinner with friends and the atmosphere was just perfect for this. Really happy to hear Temper are their own butchers so you could certainly taste the quality of the meat, everything was cooked to perfection. The sides were nice too! It was also our birthday so the restaurant were so kind to do something special.
The only downfalls were that the food took quite a while to come out (I didn't mind because we were having a nice time chatting!), But there were two mistakes on the orders, which I think was partly because while Miguel was our main waiter, there were other waiters who we're also serving us, so duplicate orders/miscommunications happened. Regardless, they were quick and kind to rectify, so again I had no problem with this.
This is a pricey restaurant with menu priced by 100g, but majority of the meat items were minimum 500g order. It was definitely worth it, but would highly recommend on an occasion, rather than casual dinning.
Service and ambience here was fantastic- I loved the decor and the open kitchen. To start, we ordered two burnt ends tacos which is beef brisket- it was so good, well seasoned and balanced- £10 for two tacos is quite a lot tho. We then got the flank steak 400g with potatoes, chips, green sauce (mint sauce) and bearnaise. The bearnaise was definitely the better of the sauces. The chips were better than the potatoes (the potatoes lacked seasoning) and the steak was well cooked but required more seasoning. All in all, it was a great meal and our total meal came to less than £50 with our discount. However, it is not worth the £90 it would have cost without the discount. Food could be improved but definitely a great place to go.
I came for a catch up dinner with a friend who was celebrating his birthday and big day simultaneously. I arranged dinner via Open Table and the booking confirmation was instant.
We were greeted at the door and made our way downstairs to the dining area. The atmosphere was clean, lively, not too loud and you can see the meats and grill area of the kitchen as you walk in - which brought some visual theatrics. The service was very good and we were made to feel welcome. One interesting point which I’ve never seen before, was when we both mentioned our dietary restrictions, our Maitre D used a marker to cross off the items that we wouldn’t eat on the menu. This was a nice touch and made it easier.
We both opted for the Lamb, which was succulent, tasty and had a slight kick. Both accompanied with normal Fries, Raclette Fries and Salad - all incredibly moorish and fresh. All washed down with a bottle of Rose wine.
For a finishing touch, they brought out a candle on a cookie/ice cream plate for my friend - nicely remembered. Approx £95 for 2, with wine and service charge.
Would recommend this place to anyone for dates, catch up etc.
Fantastic brunch with cocktails! Highly recommend it, the sausages in particular were amazing.
The service was excellent too. Only let down was that we were the only people in there at 1pm on a Saturday so there wasn't much atmosphere. But still definitely worth visiting, we'll be back!
Held an event for 60 people here the other week. What a night!
The staff were so attentive and the food was superb. Given how many people the chefs cooked for, EVERYONE’S meal was perfect and they even gave us a designed menu to make my event extra special.
Can’t thank them enough and will be returning very soon.
A cool place . I hadn’t heard of Temper before. It is a sleek steak house . Think Gaucho . We were greeted nicely and led downstairs to our table . When we got into the main dining area you could feel a buzz in the air . The bar was huge and dry aged meet behind glass doors looked great . The lady who looked after our table explained how it all worked and we ordered a bit of everything. Each dish was well made and tasty …moorish. The steak we ordered took a while and for me lacked a bit of seasoning. The one thing to note is that they have meat for the day so if you have a later booking the cut of meat you may want may not be there . I am not sure of the long term value here for the customer. It doesn’t feel customer centric . All in all a great vibe with good food . Would I go back ?? YES ! Except I would have a early evening booking . 👍🏾😁
Lovely Sunday roast. Nice atmosphere and good food. The restaurant area is very spacious, making it suitable for bigger groups. Would recommend!
The only advice i’d give is to minimise the amount of times you check-in with the guests to see if everything is fine. We got asked like 10+ times by different people and it started getting annoying after a while. Minor thing, would still recommend trying! 👍
Great atmosphere, the waiter had a really good presence and the food was surprisingly good.
Best burger in the area for sure!!
Had lunch and drinks for 2 here on Friday, amazing service and the food and cocktails were lush. Special thanks to Josh who was so lovely to us and who was so kind to give us a temper black card during our visit! Would definitely come back, was a great welcome to London :)
Had dinner here and all food was delicious . They need to expand their drinks menu but everything else was on point.
We visited temper to take part in their Masterclass and BBQ experience for my boyfriend’s birthday.
From the moment we arrived, the team at Shoreditch were so welcoming and engaging.
The team went above and beyond to provide such a special night.
The food itself was delicious and we can’t wait to come back with friends.
I’d recommend this to anyone, but particularly those who want to visit for a special occasion, as the team really go above and beyond.
Very nice place and ambiance, however the food took some time, but it was good food nonetheless.
My recent experience was undeniably one of the best I've had. While I'm not one to write reviews, this time, it's warranted. The food was more than enjoyable; it was utterly delightful. What made it even better was the staff member's recommendation, which turned out to be an excellent choice. The drinks were spot-on, hitting just the right notes. The overall atmosphere was so pleasant that I've made up my mind to return for another visit. In fact, I'm already planning to bring my friends along to celebrate a birthday, as I'm confident they'll appreciate the enjoyable ambiance as much as I did.
Had Sunday lunch. Chose the family feast for 2 people, was huge and more than enough but skimped a little on the meat which was a shame as this is a restaurant based on its meat. Beef which I expected to be good was average. But lots of vegetables and the potatoes and Yorkshire were really good. No al a carte on Sunday so would come back to try the rest of the menu and compare it. Had a nice feel downstairs in the basement and the staff were great
Best ambiance and service. Gorgeous environment.
Ordered the Caramelised Spicy Corn snack, Not a fan, small portion and not very tasty, get something else.
Request the steak menu. Sharing portion all 500g cuts, got a t-bone just for myself and asked for medium-rare. Not sure if is was me or the waiter didnt hear me correctly. The short loin side turn out was a medium, tenderloin side was mostly well done...
Potato with grilled raclette was delicious.
Good to go with friends or date. If you can stand the charcoal smell all over you get a seat next to the chef bar so you don't miss the show, the cooking process is pleasant to watch!
Visited on a busy Saturday night. The online booking system and confirmation clearly showed my reservation for a party of 4, but the restaurant’s system showed this as 2 - however front of house quickly sorted a table for us. Our server was prompt and friendly and explained the menu well - a couple of items were unavailable but still had plenty of options, and the cocktails were delicious. Would definitely return!
I had the pleasure of dining at Temper in Shoreditch, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish.
The Sunday roast was 10/10. Everything on the plate tasted amazing. Ilya made us feel very welcome and provided an excellent service. Will definitely be coming back!
