After seeing posts about it from food groups, we finally got round to trying it for a late Saturday lunch. We had the roti canai, keropok lekor, mee goreng mamak, nasi kandar with fish curry, nasi campur halia with fried chicken, beef rendang and sambal sotong, and terung berlada. It was all delicious and authentic - we especially enjoyed the fish curry (the roti canai was ordered to soak this up)! The boss lady was very friendly and made sure we were well served too. All in all, a lovely experience! Highly recommended!

Very nice restaurant. Fully halal, no alcohol served. The waitress was kind and helpful. The roasted duck was a bit plain but it’s okay as it’s served with sauce & a bowl of broth. Would definitely come back to try other dishes.

If you're on the hunt for authentic Malaysian cuisine in the heart of London, Halia Restaurant is a must-visit. The "Wan Tan Hor" stood out remarkably. Not only was it perfectly cooked with a harmonious blend of flavors, but the unmistakable touch of 'wok hay' – that elusive charred taste from the wok – made it an unforgettable dish. Coupled with the freshness of the seafood, every bite was a delightful experience. A pleasant surprise was the "Roti Jala", a recent addition to their menu. This lacy pancake, often served with curry or dhal in Malaysia, was impeccably executed and oozed with flavor. But the highlight for me had to be the "Nasi Campur". A medley of traditional Malay dishes served with rice, it was an explosion of authentic tastes that left me craving more. In essence, Halia isn’t just a dining experience; it’s a journey to the culinary heart of Malaysia. For anyone wanting to indulge in an authentic taste of Malay flavors without buying a plane ticket, make your reservation at Halia. You won’t be disappointed.

The best Malaysian foods discovered whilst in London. We ended up having our breakfast and lunch here. Strongly recommended to those craving for Malaysian local foods.

The restaurant is hidden inside the Grand Plaza serviced apartments, serves good quality malay dishes. Worth a visit to feel like back home, the most highly recommended dish is the beef rendang, others are good too but our national favourite here is just an okay passable nasi lemak though.

Nasi Goreng was spot on. The other dishes that we had (Laksa and fried banana with ice cream) were alright. Great place to have a relaxing dinner over conversation since the restaurant is hidden inside the hotel.

This was a nice little gem hidden behind a service apartment. Every other Malaysian restaurant in Bayswater was full when I went except for this place. The food was so good! Absolutely loved the hainanese chicken rice. Although the waiter said the beef rendang wasn’t spicy at all but it was actually quite spicy imo.

The nasi lemak is super good, especially the curry chicken. Fragrant coconut sauce. Friendly staff and you got student discount too😍

I've been to Halia twice. I tried the nasi kandar and nasi ayam hainan, and both the food and service were great! All halal. For an appetizer, try their kerupuk lekor/fish cake. It was fantastic.

the food here is insanely good and so authentic! better than a lot of restaurants back home even. the char kuey teow had that beautiful soy colour with the right flavours. got wok hei too. the nasi lemak rice was so beautifully fragrant from the coconut milk and galangal. the ayam goreng rempah is amazing with the nasi lemak. came with very well-rounded sambal, sweet umami spicy. highly highly recommend this restaurant!

Food is good, I appreciated the free pawn crackers as an appetiser. Service is efficient and friendly. Curry puffs were great. Laksa could be thicker and not quite so much chilly; more like Singapore style would be much better. Teh Tarik could also be more authentic, ie tea could be a bit stronger. But overall it was good and I would try it again.

Finally came here to try their food (been only ordering on Deliveroo all these times). Had family visiting so I decided to take them here for breakfast. Service was fast and courteous.

Enjoyed a delicious and fragrant plate of nasi lemak breakfast. Brought memories of home, which made each bite even more comforting for the soul. The breakfast set comes with curry puff and a choice of coffee and tea. Look forward to sampling the other delicacies. Lovely set up, polite and friendly staff. A must visit to sample Malaysian delights.

An amazing Malaysian restaurant, about a mile from Paddington station (20 min walk or so)..The food was absolutely delicious..Portions were large & reasonably priced. The staff was very friendly & went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Truly felt like I was back home for a while. Definitely give it a try if you are in London. ❤
