One of the best restaurants you will find in Mayfair. The food is top notch; hands down one of the best I had in a while.. Great aesthetic and patterns; it looks very modern with an Afrocentric touch!
Our waiter Ola was wonderful, she genuinely cared about our experience and everything she recommended was amazingly good! She knew so much about the food and the history of the restaurant it was impressive. I think she deserves a Raise!
Overall lavish experience; if I could give more stars I would :)
The food was absolutely delicious and the restaurant within itself was minimalistic and sophisticated .
The interior was unmatchable. The staff really go above and beyond.
The steak was absolutely succulent and tender. The lunch set menu will satisfy you
taste buds and is very filling.
We will definitely come back soon .
My experience here was great. I had the wagyu ribeye. I thought the quality of the meat was one of the best I have ever had and the portion sizes were good . I would say the atmosphere is a bit too quiet for my liking. As expected due to the location the pricing is steep, would recommend for a special occasion.
My wife and I recently visited for an anniversary treat.
Loved the look of the restaurant, and the ambience was really inviting and relaxing.
The food was absolutely heavenly. The XO butter prawns for starters were divine. We could've eaten that sauce alone. The ribeye steak was juicy and cooked to perfection. But the star of the show was definitely the Beef Ribs. Tender, fall off the bone with the right amount of char and a beautiful glaze. Pretty much perfect. (Also the sourdough bread, chips, burnt butter mash and the gooey fondant for dessert were all so delicious!)
Really friendly and attentive service throughout the night, couldn't fault a single thing. Special thanks to Wokedje for looking after us and making the evening special. She went out of her way to help us with the menu and all our questions.
We will definitely be back! (Especially for those ribs)
Wow, this was probably the best steak we’ve ever had! It melted in my mouth. Highly recommend trying the scallops also. Our waiter, Ron was simply amazing. We will be coming back.
Came here to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday as he loves steak.
The food here was incredible and up to standard. Being half Mozambican, I had to try the piri piri chicken skewers which did not disappoint! My boyfriend was also very happy with his rib-eye steak and paired with Lebanese red wine, made this a perfect meal. The highlight however were the starters: the artisan bread with beef dripping and the boerewors skewer were both incredibly tasty - highly recommended!
We received a friendly service and even got a ‘birthday’ dessert on the house. Would come again for another special occasion.
We had ribeye, burger and chicken skewers and all were super delicious.
Place is so comfy with welcoming staff.
I would highly recommend it to everyone.
Service was the most pleasant, the food was without fault, and the space was not only well-set, but the music and lighting provided an atmosphere that make this upscale venue an unforgettable experience. This was among the best meals I've ever been served and the quality of the recipes would hold its rank against that of any fine-dining steakhouse. There is no staff more attentive and pleasant, and while the prices run steeper than the average restaurant, The Meat & Wine Co. is a far cry from average, with pricing that is to be expected at this level of excellence. You ultimately get what you pay for, and what you'll pay for is the very best in restaurant dining. You won't regret your visit!
What a gem!
I know there’s plenty of places to choose from in London, but if you’re after the best quality food, fantastic service and cosy atmosphere - this is a place for you.
I had a steak & my husband had a burger and they were honestly the BEST steaks/burgers we’ve ever had!!! 🤌🏼❤️
We had the best time celebrating my besties birthday. Dominic is very very attentive and welcoming and one of the best waiters we have dealt with, The food was all great, shame that a few dishes contained parmesan cheese - making them non-halal and not pescatarian friendly as it contains animal rennet (the Caesar salad included). Fair price points and great options. Decor made us feel like we were in tropical climates, the AC was a little too strong, and we ended up wearing our coats. Dates served for Ramadan and allowed to pray downstairs, very accommodating.
A new and very special place in London, service is impeccable without any pretentiousness, and food is 10/10. We had come from a matinee theatre show and walking around London so weren't dressed exactly perfectly, but were still seated without issue with an amazing smile. At the end, the manager also gave us a complimentary little taste of some veeery special whisky as an extra treat. Overall it's easily £120 a head and upwards, but for the area it's quite reasonable. Interior design is beautiful and unique. Would come back without hesitation.
Best ribeye steak I've ever had! Lovely restaurant, good service and unique ambience. The wine that accompanied the steak was a perfect pair. The desserts are scrumptious!
Been a while since Westfield branch closed. Needed to get my BBQ beef ribs fix. Pricier than before but did not disappoint.
Attentive staff. Nice ambience. Great tasting food. Halal options are available.
Seemed like we had the whole restaurant for ourselves.
Will come again to try other offerings on the menu.
Was thrilled to attend this venue on its opening night. Overall had a really fantastic dinner. Every single item was full of flavour and had different tasting notes. The restaurant was really clean, and had comfortable seating. The decor and setting fit the menu and theme of the restaurant as a whole. There was a beautiful bar on entrance, wine filled staircase, and dining areas on street level and downstairs, as well as a small outdoor area. The main dining room felt like it had a good community feel to it. The atmosphere was buzzy, with great music, (the waves sound effect in the restroom was also a nice touch). The staff were all very friendly and excitable. They added to the vibrancy of the venue and made it feel like a special place to be. Felt welcomed from the moment we stepped in, to the moment we left. They were very accommodating and able to answer all menu questions. There was a large selection of wine, cocktails and other beverages.
The food itself was full of flavour. Loved the warm, fresh bread to begin the meal. My fellow diner’s steak was well cooked, and came with a generous serve of sauce and his side dish well presented on the plate. Being vegetarian I found there were only very limited options, so this is one area they could improve on going forward. In saying that, this has not turned me away from a revisit. I thoroughly enjoyed my side dishes. The gem salad was fantastic and fresh with so many different aspects from the dressing to the cheese which made it anything but boring. The market greens were also nice, well cooked, and I enjoyed the addition of the nuts. To improve on this, I would either have preferred some more variation of greens (rather than just broccolini), or if this was presented as broccolini on the menu, rather than “greens”.
Dessert was equally fantastic. Loved the chocolate fondant which was plated with elegance and cooked to perfection. Perfect balance of sweetness, fresh and warmth.
Overall, The Meat and Wine Co provided a delightful experience. A lovely addition to Mayfair, I look forward to revisiting.
DJ and Robin gave us the most amazing service. They both were wonderful, professional, and accommodating. The food was just wonderful.
Added to that, the atmosphere of the place is stunning and relaxed. We felt welcomed and everyone made us feel at home. Our experience was fantastic we will definitely come back soon.♥️
If you are looking for a restaurant that offers high quality steaks and excellent service with a elegant venue then look no further than The Meat & Wine Co.
The moment you enter you are greeted warmly by the staff. As you walk towards your table you admire lovely decor and ambiance of the restaurant.
Our lovely and wonderful waitress Olsa informed us what dishes (not many) were not Halal.
So all of us sat there looking through what to order and we left it to the ladies to choose the starters 😀
The garlic bread and the prawns were delicious especially scooping up the sauce in the prawns 😋
For me the star starter was the chicken skewer. Soft and tender. The chicken tasted so good.
For the mains we enjoyed our steaks. My friends enjoyed their fillet with the best peppercorn sauce we’ve tried and my wife and I went for the Wagyu rib eye which did not disappoint. All the steaks were made to perfection and the mash was so soft and creamy 😋
The quality of the steaks available is great.
Did we have space for dessert? Yea, how could we not but we were spoilt for choice so Olsa arranged a dessert board for us so we could try each one.
Overall, this restaurant is excellent because of the staff and the food. We are going to revisit to try their burgers well I want to try that next time 😁
Absolute meat heaven; the steak here is worth every penny.
The concept is like no other; I don’t think I’ve had a better steak in London. Ever. And I eat a lot of steak.
Seductive decor, knowledgeable staff and a cocktail list of dreams, The Meat and Wine co. has the wow factor!
Steak here was amazing so well cooked, loads of halal options.
Lobster mac and cheese was out of this world.
Mash was so good, salad was nice too
I wasn't a big fan of the fondue but I can see the appeal. The service was great and staff was super friendly, polite and nice.
