I had a wonderful dinner with my friend at this restaurant. We shared a platter of mixed kebab with rice and was delicious. The meat was cooked to perfection and had a lot of flavor from the spices.
This restaurant is a gem in London. The food is high quality and reasonably priced. I would definitely come back here and try more dishes.
I must say the food was delicious. From the chicken and lamb kebab to the calamari. While I was in London for vacation, I was looking for late night dining and am glad I chose this place. Food quality was great, customer service amazing. I totally recomment this place.
Fresh food. Plenty of vegetarian options, but you have to be careful if you are sensitive to gluten. The food is fresh. The cold meze plate includes 5 items and it’s a perfect starter for 2-3 persons.
Being hungry at 12 am in the morning we walked in to this restaurant and didn’t regret it! Service is very nice and food … fresh!
Side salad, hummus and tzatziki plus warm pita bread is free! They serve it after you order. Menu is short, which is good ! Dishes full of flavour and freshly chopped veggies!
Place is not expansive at you can have a nice meal under the £30 with drinks!
We went to have dinner with friends in the last week of March. We ordered a portion of hummus and baba-ganoush to start with the bread. The hummus was extremely fresh and tasty.
For the mains I had a portion of Adana kebab. The meat was juicy and tender. It was tasty with the spices. The dish was served with rice and roasted tomatoes which were a nice addition alongside the meat.
Overall, really recommend the Adana kebab. It’s a good quality food at decent price in London.
Amazing food, amazing service!
We were very hungry and we were trying to find a pub that served food at 9:30 PM - no one seemed to be serving food at that hour! We kept walking until we came across this restaurant by chance. We were super lucky! Highly recommend dining there. Also, try their Turkish wine!
Small but bustling restaurant located at the center of Whitechapel. Food was good, portions were smaller than what you'd typically see at Turkish restaurants. Unfortunately the sauces (flavour profile was lacking) and mocktails (no mint in any of our drinks) were lacking. Price is what you'd typically pay at a good Turkish restaurant.
For those not familiar with Whitechapel, parking is a nightmare, especially recently with changes to parking restrictions. We went at a busy time but were lucky to get seats with little wait time. I'd look to reserve seats in future.
We had an amazing lunch! Food was great and the waiters were attentive. Just a great choice if you like Turkish cuisine
The food is wonderfully fresh, extremely well cooked, and most importantly tastes amazing. Staff great, place spotless. And all very reasonably priced. Have now visited a second time, and even better.
Service was quick, got the large platter for £75. But the bill came to £82 as they added a service charge without telling us. On the menu it says optional 10% service charge for groups of 6 or more. There was only 4 of us. Obviously didn't pay the service charge but gave a £5 tip. Very cheeky of them. Otherwise would have been 5 stars.
I had the longest day! 17 hours and I came here on my own at midnight on the way home. The really nice guy that served me, made me two Turkish teas while I waited. Put me out a chair outside because I wanted to have a moment to relax, even though it was late and was so nice to me. Plus the chef was so kind to me and told me I was working too much! They are so lovely here. I haven't been in a while but used to come here all the time. They are so kind and the food is absolutely delicious. You will not taste better chicken than here. I hope this place is here for a long time. Thank you 😊
I recently had the pleasure of dining at EFES, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience! The restaurant specializes in Turkish cuisine, and the dishes we ordered were simply perfect.
First off, we tried the lamb ribs, and they were cooked to perfection - juicy, tender and full of flavor. The sarma beyti was also a standout - the combination of minced meat and spices wrapped in a warm, chewy bread was simply delicious. And let's not forget the lahmacun - thin, crispy and topped with a delicious mixture of minced lamb, tomatoes, onions and herbs.
Overall, the food at EFES was outstanding, and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious meal. The service was also excellent, with attentive staff who were happy to answer any questions we had.
If you're looking for authentic Turkish cuisine in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, EFES is definitely worth a visit!
Authentic Turkish kebab that taste good
Meat lover haven, feel so satisfied afterwards which has not happen for a while
Their pickle are Nice. They do offer a big bowl of salad as side if you worry there are too much meat
Their price worth the while
This restaurant is amazing, the staff were really friendly and welcoming, the interior of the restaurant is nicely decorated and feels very comfortable inside. We ordered the Special mix Grill which is enough for 4 people. I was in a group of 3 and there was plenty to eat. The food was nicely cooked and the taste was delicious. Prices are fair and I would 100% recommend Efes 👍🏼
Delicious, fresh, tasty and well presented food. My Chicken Beyti was cooked to perfection. Portion a little small for a Turkish restaurant, though. My friend enjoyed her delicious Lamb Chops. The salad and complimentary dips/bread were fantastic. My Ayran was so refreshing. Immaculately clean premises. Pleasant, gentle music enabling conversation. Comfortable temperature. Soft lighting. Attractive decoration. Attentive and courteous staff. Extra thanks to Nestor, who made our visit very special!
The food was so good!
Hiwever, the service was not the best. Not sure if it was because the restaurant was a little busy and maybe they were over whelmed. However it did get a little better throughout the night. Not sure...
We got the platter for two, the hot meze appetizers and some drinks.
Just a note that the lemonade is actually lemonade and not a 7up style drink.
It would be nice if that was noted on the menu.
Went for dinner and tried a couple of platters, Aubergine, Turkish coffee and kunafe. Food was tasty and well presented, service was good too!! Not really spacious upstairs especially if you order a lot of food but downstairs seating was only for larger groups which was much nicer. Kunafe wasn’t the best I had !! Overall a good experience!
Lovely Turkish place with clean environment and great food.
Price is about £30 per person.
We ordered a bit too much, highly recommend the sharing platter.
