Located on the 1st floor of the hotel cafe royal. Nice low lighting with a central opening to the concierge down stairs.
It’s been open for about 3 months.
Photos of famous stars line the wall, low
Lighting for tables- an Art Deco take on interior.
Seating of bench seats with leather upholstery which was low was not the best eating ergonomics.
Food- beautiful burrata and also fish lumberjack tataki.
The seabass was good as well as the lamb.
Unfortunately both the accompaniment of broccoli and fried was very underwhelming- the broccoli came cold and the French fries under done to the point of being limp.
Beautiful French brest and the coffee eclair was average.
Food was on the expensive side- we had the 50% fork deal which made the prices more affordable.
The wine selection was ok- reasonable priced uplift.
Service was good- warm welcome and attentive service.
Ambience was quiet- If you like quite places then this is a great choice.
One of the most impressive restaurants that I've been to lately. I can't find fault with anything I was served. Service and ambiance were also superb!
Nicely decorated, on the first floor at Hotel Cafe Royal. Good food, impeccable service and a good wine list, reasonably priced for a restaurant like this. We liked the sushi and the Dover sole.
Really nice meal in a lovely venue. Almost all excellent. Pity about the " fries" though. Not nice at all. Seemed to be bought in industrial product. A poor show that slightly detracted from the food. The "accompaniments seemed to be the only poor component. A bit limited and half-hearted.cSome rather shouty people nearby. Not the restaurant's fault, though. They can't choose their customers..
Interesting concept - mix of steak and sushi, amazing venue with beautiful rooms overlooking Regent Street. Service was top notch, as was the food. Highly recommended for a date night, does not feel like a hotel restaurant whatsoever.
We had a delicious meal. There's a very nice ambiance in this place, it is chic but not snobby. The bar illuminates over a restaurant of parquet flooring, and a black vinyl ceiling. The sirloin steak was really good. Our waitress Erisa was very friendly and attentive. Laurent served as a really nice backdrop to catch up with an old friend and eat some good food. I'd definitely come here again. If I could pick any area for improvement, the soundtrack was a kind of soothing elevator music cover playlist - no one should ever have to hear a singer-songwriter-lady cover Nirvana's "Smell's Like Teen Spirit" at 1/8x speed in a sultry tone (and then continue to cover Bob Marley and Eurythmics with the same thing).
Outstanding service and recommendations from Padi, great wine list, and the food was exquisite.
I never thought grits could be done gourmet, but the mushroom grits at Laurent definitely proved me wrong! Very creative dish that tasted amazing.
Decent location and environment. I preferred the seafood they made than the beef.
Great date night dinner, amazing place and even better food.
We had sea bass tartare to start, light and flavourful, to follow I had beef fillet and my partner had lobster tortelli and honestly I don’t know what was better as they both tasted amazing!
We shared a lovely Quercegobbe wine which was a great recommendation. Max and Denisa in particular were really attentive and made our experience fantastic, thank you very much we’ll be visiting again soon!
Great food waiting staff need training beautiful place very disabled friendly excellent food and the sushi bar is to die for
Lovely experience! nice foods and attentive staff! will definitely come back for more!
Fabulous atmosphere.
Extravagant food.
Great staff
Very nice place, service were amazing and attentif, food was delicious, and the Yorkshire pudding as bread for the table succulent.
Great ambience!! Good food ... nice atmosphere!
Best restaurant we’ve been to in London, and probably the world, by far. The sushi is amazing, cocktails are fantastic, and service is great. Even the bread that comes before your meal is unique and delicious. I live in London and my boyfriend loves food, so we’ve tried quite a few amazing restaurants here, but this one is by far the best. Can’t wait for it to be famous so we can say we’ve been.
Wonderful birthday lunch. Great attentive service without being over the top. Menu had a mix of steak and sushi. My mother said her steak was the best she had ever eaten!
Visit now before you are not able to get a table.
Wonderful experience - esp with all Christmas decorations. Very attentive & kind staff. Tasty dishes and good portion sizes. Pleasant and warm athmosphere - not too stiff or overly posh. Would definately recommend this restaurant and return myself.
