Toklas - London - Photo album

Yes, go there. Their menu is seasonal, so it changes continuously and in summer they have a large terrace that stays fresh and breezy even in the hottest summer nights. Incredible food, we were absolutely blown away by all dishes we ordered. The mushroom tagliatelle were among the best tagliatelle I
A really special meal. The atmosphere is perfect, very intimate. The food was unbelievable, fresh everything, gorgeous flavours, just wonderful! My highlight was the tarte tatin. Great wine as well 🍷
Lovely modern restaurant in tucked away location. Enjoyed all the dishes we had - bread and butter, aubergine, lobster, frito misto and the pistachio icecream. The food had a hearty, fresh and homemade feel to them complimented by lots of tomatoes and sprinkles of nuts and sauces to make them specia
Good service, good food. The crudo and mozzarella dishes were really good. The vibes of the place was great, staff was attentive, gave good recommendations and checked in on us too.
A delicious summer lunch with friendly service on the airy plant-filled spacious terrace at Toklas today. A very useful and tranquil hidden away restaurant just off the Strand. Recommended.
Truly wonderful restaurant. Delicious, imaginative food, beautiful dining space (a must for lovers of mid-century modern) and relaxed, friendly and professional service. Will definitely be returning.
Great location in Strand for Mediterranean food! Decent roof with ample space with some interesting food combos. I tried the pesto linguine which was pretty good but was expecting slightly more options for veggies. Nonetheless great food!
Nice restaurant & good bakery near temple. Waiters was really nice, and allows us to come in way earlier. Place should be much better under sun, they have a huge terrasse, but unfortunately weather was awful… Food was tasteful but a little bit overpriced.
I took a long-standing business contact / former colleague for a relaxed lunch. The food was delicious and the service was excellent - our waiter recommended an unusual but very drinkable skin contact wine. The ambience is fun, although it would not be the place for a more formal business meal.
Went to The Strand for an exhibition and came across this lovely restaurant. We ordered the salmon, risotto, duck and spiced pumpkin dishes (duck and pumpkin not photographed). The salmon was cooked perfectly and the sauce complements it perfectly. The only thing I would say is for the price paid th
Really lovely restaurant in an area I wouldn’t normally think to look. Needed somewhere for my friend’s birthday near the theatre and it was great. Quite expensive and although food was really good I feel like you could also get similarly good food for slightly less elsewhere. Service was good tho,
Faultless, delicious food, the most friendly, efficient service and great cocktails! Love the room, too and the massive, heated terrace. One of my favourite restaurants in London.
Absolutely loved this restaurant! Food was so delicious - we ate vegetarian and seafood dishes, fresh seasonal ingredients, creative and well presented. Staff were lovely, quietly friendly and very helpful. Loved the atmosphere. Cannot recommend this place enough.
Went here for dinner with a party of six on a Sunday. Sampled most of the menu with exception of a couple of desserts. Excellent, straightforward food. Friendly / attentive enough service.
Everyone knows I eat out a lot - I mean a LOT ! This was the best new restaurant I have been to for a long time, everything was wonderful. The staff were so friendly and efficient, and really knowledgeable, there is clearly a great rapport between the kitchen and the front of house. It was a windy d
Such exquisite food. The attention to detail is obvious the moment you step foot on the terrace. Get the house white wine, you won’t be disappointed. We started with boquerones and kumquat. On the day we ate at Toklas, we had the pork tomahawk pair with rapinni and cannellini beans. The service was
Fresh and light food. The lemon sole and mussels were amazing. Topped off with a fantastic chocolate cake. The restaurant has a large outside terrace to sit and dine. Really lovely setting.
Atmosphere during summer nights is amazing. If weather permits, I highly recommend grabbing a seat on the very generous terrace. Maybe the kitchen was a bit short-staffed at the time but mains took a while to get to us, though they did apologise with complimentary sorbet. The food itself - just ab
