Reviews Salt Deptford

Very cool place for a drink and some food. Gets a decent amount of afternoon sun. Pizza’s are fantastic out of the wood fired oven (best Nocerella olives I’ve ever had too). Great range of Salt craft beers and a reasonable cocktail menu. Only downside is when it’s busy and there’s a few cocktail orders it can take a while to get served.

Personally, the best pizza in Deptford by far. It has the perfect amount of toppings, cheese, and sauce. I love the thin crust, and it's always cooked to perfection. I don't understand those reviews about the price. If £12 is considered expensive for a high-quality pepperoni pizza, my advice is to stick with the chicken shops. I order it twice a week and have never been disappointed. Highly recommended. 10/10.

We absolutely love this pizza place! It's our local and they do the most amazing pizzas with a wide selection of craft beers. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, it's always a pleasure to drop by. However, after a recent visit, we found out that the mozzarella isn't vegetarian and this has meant that we can no longer eat here. We were served by Esme who was incredibly helpful and informative about the menu. Thankfully, Esme worked with the chefs to find a way to accommodate us that day. She was so patient! However, going forwards we really hope Salt will cater vegetarian mozzarella (without animal rennet) to allow us to eat here again! Most London restaurants are fantastic at catering for both vegetarians and vegans so we really hope Salt can add veggie mozzarella to their menu!

Tried a few pizzas from the menu, good atmosphere within the venue. Pizza’s have original and unique flavours, large beer selection available. Only thing that stops it from having 5* is the price. Fairly expensive for what you get but get good quality overall.

Best pizza in Deptford (maybe even in London!). Really, what a place! The vibes, music and staff are so good that you want to come over and over again. We’ve been here 3 times by now and each time is such a treat. Pizza crust is so thin, cheese melty and delicious. You must try their specials, they change menu very often and offer different toppings and draft beer! The garlic base is incredible, combined with chili olive oil gives the flavour you will never forget! If you’re in area, highly recommend this place!

Really love this chilled out bar in Deptford market yard. They usually have a good selection of beers on tap, there’s something for everyone (& even a wine list if you’re not a beer fan!) Their pizzas are divine and really well priced. We had a starter and a main. They were both gorgeous and extremely fresh. Would definitely recommend this to friends! Can imagine it’s a great place to hang out during the summer months.

Tens of beer on tap to choose from as well as a small selection of wines and cocktails. The food is amazing with the mains being pizza and smaller portions as appetisers or sides. Many vegetarian and vegan options. Service is friendly and fast. Prices are fair to high. Environment is welcoming and there is good ambient music. Dog friendly.

This place never disappoints, hands down one of the best pizza places in the UK, I’d recommend going for nduja pizza with extra burrata cheese!

Visited on a Sunday for lunch. Pizza was very good, neapolitan style and a wide variety of craft beers. The only dent in the experience is the time: it took us more than 45 minutes from order to have food on the table whereas drinks were very fast

I'm a big fan of SALT beers so wanted to check out their 2 London taprooms (other being at Woolwich). It's within eyesight of Deptford Station and in a pedestrianised area. This is the bigger venue and had a more interesting range of SALT beers on tap. The Pizzas are wood fired and stunning. Great pizza, great location and great beer! What more could you ask?

Pizza was absolutely outstanding. Great beer selection. Decent service. The only issue we had was we made our way all the way down again last Sunday at 8 pm looking forward to another flavourgasm only to be told that they’d already called last orders, even though on Google maps it says they close at 10 pm on Sundays. If it’s a Google maps mistake this should be corrected!

A really great open spaced Pizza joint. I thought the prices for the pizzas where reasonably priced and the service was quick. The beer tasted great but it did cost a little more than expected. I would definitely go back and check out more of their pizzas!

Can’t wait for this place to re-open! Excellent range of beers and ciders on tap. Perfect pizzas cooked in a wood oven. The devils mortar was first for me but won’t be the last, especially when complemented by a pint four hour seesion IPA 😋
