Reviews Pivo Hub

I am not generally one for writing reviews, but I am genuinely moved to on this occasion! I would describe Pivo as fun but understated. A nice selection of Czech beers of different styles and strengths, all served by knowledgeable and super friendly staff. Given the obvious focus on beers, I wasn’t expecting too much on the food front, but was very pleasantly surprised to be served the best schnitzel *ever* (and I’ve eaten some schnitzel in my time in Germany, Austria and Prague no less!). Crispy, juicy, and topped with a simple but delicious mushroom (“Jäger”) sauce. Even the simple salad it was served with was fresh, crunchy and nicely dressed… I passed the chef downstairs and congratulated him… apparently it was down to the Japanese panko breadcrumbs… well, I think any Japanese katsu chef would be proud to produce something as delicious. Anyway, enough already, I trust (and hope!) that all the food is always that good… Judging by the number of Czech speakers enjoying a beer there tonight, I’m guessing they know where to go for a genuine taste of home and some good Czech hospitality… I’ll certainly be back. I might even learn the language at this rate!

Fantastic selection of Czech beers, served by friendly and knowledgeable staff. Would recommend some of the traditional food dishes on offer too. They also do a happy hour every day.

Very friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Bit far away from the usual Shoreditch bars but very nice and worth the visit. Great selection of Czech beer which is priced very reasonably and great selection of Czech dishes to keep you fed on your beer quest.

We came for two pints, but ended having Becherovka, fun and leaving after closing hours! That's how good it is! Love the beer selection, food was great - we had duck leg and homemade crisps, very friendly service, great atmosphere - we could watch Wimbledon tournaments. Prices are very fair for London, no nasty surprises. Maybe the food portion could be slightly bigger, please? :-) Make sure to try Kutna Hora beer, it is super tasty. It is so nice to have a beer as per Czech standards (with foam), Czech food (duck leg was like from my grandmother) and such a friendly service (you usually don't get that back home :-)). Excellent work guys!

I'm over the moon about having proper draft beer from my home Czechia. The selection of draft beer is amazing & prices are more than fair! That one star is missing because of the food. We came for dinner and after appetizers we decided to leave for dinner somewhere else. I've never seen any Czech pub serve just tiny half of hermelín with old bread (and for £5! 😰). Fried cheese in toast bread was fine, although not very thick. Potatoes super oily and for some reason quite sweet? I think if they work better on their food, this will be an amazing place to go and feel like home and for foreigners to taste what Czechia has to offer.

Great service. Had about 5/6 different beers. All of them spot on. Food (pork belly, sauerkraut, dumplings and chicken schnitzel with potato salad was perfect and great value for money.

Excellent range of real Czech beers, friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere. Not too busy, even during happy hour on the Thursday before Easter. If you like lager, you must visit Pivo.

PIVO resembled contemporary Prague-like pub with good selection of Czech beers. It’s good place to visit if you are looking for a welcoming and friendly Central European-like environment. The food is traditionally suitable for meat-eaters. The selection of vegetarian mains is highly limited which definitely needs more attention. The beer is great. Great place to watch ice-hockey.

Great&tidy new pub with a variety of Czech beers; food is way better than other pubs and reasonably priced: I loved the creamy potato salad with the thick schnitzel and the dark beer sauce of their goulash, some flavours can be improved and other Czech classics should be added, hence my overall 4. Reservations accepted on their website, probably needed when the new sport season kicks off

If it's Czech beers you love this is the place for you..A good selection of draught and fridge beers (available for takeaway at a discount)... Amazingly they opened 3 months ago during the Pandemic so I really wish them the best of luck

I am Czech and I am often disappointed by “Czech beer” in London - not this place. The beer was fantastic; I was drinking Kutna Hora and it was absolutely beautiful- well done! One star missing because of the food - it’s ok but it could be a lot better if they show as much love to the food as they do to the beer!

Absolutely the best. Kuba did the best service and made our experience of stay twice that better. The best beer, amazing food. We will be back and will bring our other friends.

Great bar, really enjoyed it. Not the cheapest but then I went for the specially imported beers. Friendly staff who give good recommendations. Not much on the menu for vegetarians

I had an amazing time at PIVO! The food is delicious together with the wine selection. I experienced lovely and knowledgeable staff, who helped me to choose the most suitable wine for my dish. Tables are suitable for work with laptop, with accessible charging. Highly recommended!

Nice new beer pub in central London. Quality Czech beer on tap, but also other world beers in bottle... really huge choice.
