Vinoteca is located just on the very edge of Borough Market, and what a find this place is in my opinion. Albeit the market itself has loads of fantastic street food offerings, Vinoteca was just that something a little extra and removed you from the hustle and bustle over a lunchtime.
The thing that stood out for me here was the attentive staff and dare I say the set lunch menu. I’m always slightly concerned ordering off a set menu with less choices , just in case the portions are smaller and not as good quality. Not here, the dishes were executed fantastically and were delicious. This was a fantastic example of if you can do something well then people will appreciate it. I will definitely revisit the next time I’m in London.
This has become our regular pre theatre, pre cinema jaunt. The staff are friendly, accommodating, the security guard at the front is always smiling! The food is delicious, we get the croquettes every time, I like that the menu is seasonal and they have a big selection of wine as well as some cocktails.
We were seated at the front and so had a great view of the madness of Borough Market outside. It's always busy, but today was the busiest I've ever seen it (it was Easter Good Friday when we went).
This was a very nice place for a glass of wine and a bite to eat. The service was very good. The wine was lovely, although a bit pricey. Atmosphere was spot on.
We will definitely be back.
Been a couple of times now - excellent value for money and great food - not massive portions but what do you want in central London for £22 for 3 courses.
Service has always been great for us.
Keep it up Vinoteca. See you soon.
Regular to Vinoteca, usually on Monday as they have great value promo called Cork Club so you can go upmarket and experiment without wallet flinching. Tables very small in front bar so tricky to balance lots of small plates. This last visit the charcuterie was not expertly sliced as usual, which was a bit disappointing, hopefully one-off. nice atmosphere
Excellent food and wine at reasonable prices. The service was good from the greeter at the door, to the server, to the assistant manager. After a couple of starters and cocktails, I had the roasted Scottish trout, marinated courgettes, basil & crispy polenta. Delicious. If you like dark chocolate, be sure to order the chocolate mousse. Helpful Hint: Dark chocolate always goes well with red wine. So, if you are drinking red wine, save some for the dessert.
Feel like I missed out slightly because I didn’t actually have any wine here! The list was very impressive! I instead had the Umbrian lentil stew and a flat white which were both very satisfying. I especially enjoyed the wild mushrooms. My sister had the eggs benedict which she really enjoyed! Our eggs were absolutely perfect with gorgeous orange yolks 🍳
Dropped by for a quick bite this afternoon. Fantastic food, with plenty of vegetarian options. Served by a a great waiter Aritz, who recommended the orange wine. Slightly sceptical but very pleasantly surprised. Highly recommend that particular wine. Great experience and fantastic food with amazing pairings.
Lovely experience. Fabulous food. Attentive service.
Great selection of wines, including some really good naturals. The food is good too. The ABC Pinot Noir was excellent. I would only love to see more English wines and maybe an English Sparkling by the glass.
They are really good at what they do, making good food with huge choice of wines to go with what you order. Plus nice staff. Plus my back was playing up and they were attentive to getting me seated comfortably. What's not to like??
Lovely food, had mackerel starter and hake, friendly staff, place was packed during service at lunch, great coffee to finish. Total £24/head 2 course lunch and coffee, for London not bad!
Beautiful, quaint decor. Excellent meals. Kids loved the food, which is rare.
Gorgeous place, food looked good nut we just had wine which was superb x
