The dinner was nice, we had a burger and a steak. Sadly the burger fell to pieces but still tasted good, the steak was again good but only came with a few green bits on top and some chips, no veg to talk of which sadly made it very un-filling. The desert was again a nice chocolate brownie and ice cream.
Some really nice touches was the jar of water and beef popcorn.
Would I come back for dinner? Most probably not. Cheaper places around the area are nicer with more meaning on the plate (like veg) on the plus side the server was really good.
Now for breakfast that was a different story, very well laid out with hot food cooked to perfection, you could also get all your continental breakfast, drinks and fruit. One of the best premier Inn breakfasts we have had.
So the evening meal a 3 star
Breakfast a 5 star.
It's under the premier in and has a nice layout and rustic feel.
We ate here throughout our stay. The menu had enough things on it and we never ate the same thing twice in 5 night.
The service was good but so much better Saturday night when Tyrone was working. He was very attentive and so polite and charming. He is a credit to the company.
Food pic looks too good compare to the taste but it’s typical Premier inn, you cant expect much anyway.

I had Tyrone 2 days in a row on serving, he was nice and helpful. We had big tables as friends came over on day 1 and he handled it perfectly.
Bartender guy (thinner one) at the bar was pretty furious on the serving or they needed sth from the kitchen. He shouted a few times which ruined a bit of mood in day 2 but it was alright.
Day 3 , we intended to go and thought we could tip Tyrone this time but it was too late the kitchen was already closed. So, we just had drinks at the bar on the last order round.
Overall, pretty good experience just don’t expect too much.
I wasn’t expecting much as it is a hotel restaurant and the hotel it’s self had a few negatives but I was honestly blown away.
Firstly they were all very welcoming and understanding about my dietary requirements, they showed patience and care with a dietary I’m still very new to and allowed me plenty of time to work out what I needed/wanted.
Tyrone our server was so friendly, kind and helpful. He was very attentive, welcoming, and humorous which made our experience twice as better.
They sadly didn’t have my first meal request but Tyrone was very apologetic and allowed time for me to re think. I ended up ordering the salmon salad and I can honestly say it was delicious.
I wasn’t expecting much as it was just a salad and generally find them pretty boring but it was packed full of flavour and the salmon was cooked perfectly.
The busy-ness picked up as the evening went on but even with lots of people around the atmosphere was still kept very calm and relaxing which was perfectly after an exhausting day of exploring. The servers kept everything very organised and clean.
For two women on a busy weekend trip it was nice to have delicious food and a relaxing environment at a very reasonable value for money.
We have visited 2 times Bar+Block Steakhouse Paddington and always left super happy. Great meat!!!one of the best beef Sunday Roast I ever had and Rbye Steak is to die for! Friendly staff, delicious food and reasonable prices. Hidden gem! Is our new favourite restaurant in London 😊

I have mixed reviews about this place, as the bar and dining experience were miles apart.
The bar service from our arrival here wasn’t good, as the bartender didn’t make no attempt to acknowledge us and this is big no no for me. We wanted to dine and asked the process, and were told to go over to where the sign for eating was!
This part of our experience was very good and the server here was smiley and chatty, asking all the right questions about allergies as we expected. Everything during our dining experience was fantastic and we would recommend the chateaubriand, as it was dish cooked to perfection and in our opinion great value for money. I can’t forget Tyrone who looked after us whilst we dined, as he was knowledgeable and very friendly.
Our only fault with our evening was the bar service, as this was very shoddy in my opinion, as the guys working the bar were inconsistent in creating cocktails. As the Tiramisu cocktail my wife had, looked completely different to the customer next us which isn’t good.
Overall for us if we were scoring this visit individually. We’d score like this.

I come from an hospitality background and spent many years as Area Manager for some large pub chains, and always told my managers to remember their behaviours. As you never know who the customer in your business is!
Loved it, the service, food and cocktails was amazing. The team seemed a little short staff for a Saturday so a few mins delay but well worth the wait! The atmosphere was lovely and felt comfortable which is a win in my eyes.
Tyrone was amazing and looked after us for the evening!!! Fantastic service from him and good food. I was abit disappointed with the mock-tails being on the 2-1 happy hour page. If I knew this wasn’t included in the happy hour I wouldn’t have got it. This was in very small writing and to be honest shouldn’t have been on those pages… very misleading.
I have been to this place a few times as I have to stay at the adjoining premier inn for work sometimes.
I don't know why, but there is something about being on holiday that makes customers insufferable. The restaurant was fully booked on Wednesday when I stayed but they managed to find me a table. The staff were really polite and attentive and helpful, despite how overworked they were.
The table next to me were INCREDIBLY rude to the lady who was doing front of house but also taking orders, one of them shouting at her because another table had their order taken before theirs. She dealt with it very well and didn't get flustered at all.
It's really horrible to watch people treating service staff like they're not equals and I am impressed at how unflustered the team were.
My meal was fine, service exceptional and I really hope those staff are appreciated because they have a hard job.
The gentleman at the bar was also very good and the cocktails were good too.
I have no idea where to start. First off, brand new establishment, under the new premier inn. Crew are still learning where the feet go, but the atmosphere and the sheer friendliness speaks volumes.
The food is first class. The steak (pictured) was the steak platter (three 4oz) was of fantastic quality and the flavour….just wow. Great breakfast. All ingredients were amazing. If you come to London, go here. Cheap hotel stay and easy access to London tubes. With great atmosphere, friendly staff and great food.
We visited bar + block on arrival to Paddington Basin. We were greeted warmly with a big smile, the service was A*, the food was super yummy and we had a lovely time. Special shout out to Tyrone who served us. He was absolutely awesome, he couldn't have been more helpful. Left us with a smile on our faces. Thank you Tyrone, you welcomed us to London so well
Returned to this restaurant and was not disappointed. My server Tyrone was very helpful and really nice. Will be back, highly recommended.
