Really great pub in west hamsted. Nice atmosphere and very kind and helpful stuff. There was a burger night when I visited it. We tried the chicken burger that was very good. When it’s sunny outside there are also tables outside that are very nice.

A fine place to pop in and have a beer. The Alliance is a great stop in West Hampstead. The service is great and the staff do all they can to help out. Vis a Vis the customer from the broken down bus. Light and airy, a big horseshoe bar setting off the place wonderfully. A most enjoyable drink.

Lovely atmosphere, great interiors and attentive staff. I ordered a veg roast, sadly I wasn’t a fan.

I had lunch with a few friends on Saturday and it was a very good experience. The food was the one you typically find in a pub (burger, fish&chips, etc) with a couple of more researched dishes that gave the menu a bit of a kick. I had the burger that was really tasty, my daughter loved the brunch with a full English breakfast and I tried my wife's "parmigiana" and it was well balanced and enjoyable. More importantly, the pub management changed recently and everyone was super friendly and very attentive (I have been a few times in the past and this is the norm rather than an exception). The place is large and it is generally not as crowded as other close pubs on West End Lane and this alone is the reason why I tend to prefer The Alliance to any other pub in West Hampstead. I highly recommend trying it, and I'll certainly return many more times.

Was a regular before the change of ownership and pleased to see it back in action after the refurb. Great craft beer selection, varied wine list and delicious food (had the sea bass and various veggie sides). Prices have nudged up - but the food quality matches this. Thankfully the background music is the right level so you can actually have a conversation though the lighting could be raised a touch in the evening. The staff are fantastic and friendly - great pub!

Very delicious food! We had a pie and lamb chop. The pie was amazing and the pork inside very tender and perfectly seasoned. The mash potatoes on the side were also great and the veggies had a very good texture (not overdone). The lamb was also very tasty. As a dessert we had a sweet fig pudding. I can very much recommend this place!

Cosy and family oriented atmosphere in this local gastro pub. Food is really good and offers an excellent alternative to the basic pub menu.

Wonderful service, the prawn starter was alright, but the scotch egg was delicious, we all had roast pork which was well done, the roast potatoes were crispy and fluffy, the pork itself melted in the mouth, vegetables done to perfection, all in all a wonderful roast dinner. I had chocolate pudding which was lovely, and I was also bought extra custard, the sticky toffee pudding was stunning too, all in all a nice Sunday roast, a bit on the expensive side though. Make sure that you have enough money as it will average about £70 for a starter main dessert and a bottle of wine.

I always visit this pub as it has become my go-to spot. The warm and welcoming atmosphere coupled with their pet-friendly policy makes it even more enjoyable. It's a great place to relax and unwind with my furry friend by my side.
