I am a lover of good seafood. Sometimes Leary when trying a place in another country. But,I read some reviews and felt we had chosen the right restaurant. Yes!!! We did. Excellent experience from the moment we entered. It was great. Atmosphere was pleasant. Vibe felt like a family owned and operated establishment. Gracious host. The meal was delicious and well presented. The fried Calamari in a tempura type batter was light and not greasy. The sauce was tangy yet complimentary. A small side salad with pomegranate bits and black olives with a mild vinegar dressing was excellent. I was not disappointed. It was a medium walk from the Marriott. About a mile and some change. No complaints what so ever! When in London, I will go back. Please try this quaint eatery.
I'm not an adventurous fish person, but my bf really wanted to try their fish and chips, so I got the chef's recommended grilled and fried seafood platter. Both were beautifully plated. My bf really liked his cod and the sauce it came with. The chips were a bit dry but perhaps that's a matter of taste, as most chips around London look similar.. Some of my seafood assortment was fisher than others but it seemed fairly fresh and the sauces were excellent. Staff were very kind and welcoming
We took a bus here all the way from Kensington just for fish and chips - and we were not disappointed!!
They ran out of cod, so we had the haddock instead. The fried calamari was great, but the stars of the evening were the grilled baby squid and the chips!
Service was attentive and quick, and one of the staff was this tall thin dude with a permanent big smile on his face who really made us feel at home.
Worth it to come all the way to Fulham just for some fish and chips!!!
What a very nice place! The have some good great vegan choices. I asked for a classic fish and chips and it was pretty good. I don't know how they make the clips but they're amazing! Also they were really nice to us.
Great service! Food always nice and hot no matter the time of day or however busy it may be. If you like your cod crispy then this is the place! Their batter for the calamari is also so crispy and flavourful!
Very good fish options with a helpful server. Coming late at night, he helped guide our selection and the food was extremely fresh and prepared right as we ordered with quality to show.
Great fish and chips! And they have curry sauce to go with it. Green bean looking thing tasted great too!
Excellent food and a welcoming and pleasant service. I didn't think it was possible to have such a 5-star all round experience from a fish and chip shop. This place achieved it effortlessly.
I had haddock and chips, and tried their fresh orange with ginger juice. All delectable.
This father and son team were very courteous and kind, despite me asking quite a few questions whilst they had many other customers in the restaurant needing service.
The son had the warmest smile!
This place is airy and spacious and there were plenty of seats to choose from. The venue was bright and seemed clean.
The waitress was prompt at taking our order. Large cod/haddock and chips were about £13.50 each. The portion of the haddock was big and it came with side salad and mushy peas. My large order of cod was much smaller though. This could be due to the price of cod in general?
No alcohol. I don’t know about BYO as it wasn’t mentioned.
Overall, it was a nice place for fish n chips in Fulham.
Walking into Kennedys, we were met with top-notch service from both the waitress and the owner, which made us feel welcomed. The restaurant was empty when we popped by (saved for one couple), probably due to the weather, cause the food said otherwise (deserved a full house)!
Had the Cod Fish & Chips as well as the Steak & Baby Mushroom Pie. Fish & Chips were your classics with a good (self-service) dose of vinegar and salt. The cod was cooked to perfection, chips could have been a little crispier. The Steak & Mushroom pie wasn't our fave, but it was decent!
All in all, a good filling meal on one of London's down casted days. I won't be back for the pie, but definitely will be back for the fish & chips + the service!
I had the cod and chips, it was delicious I ate and enjoyed every bit. I always recommend my family and friends of this place. It was well worth the money the staff are polit
I've visited London 20+ times over the past 30 years. While on holiday, we were seeking a new spot for great fish and chips. This spot scored 4.9 on user reviews plus this location in Fulham was near where we were staying so we decided to give it a try.
The atmosphere is very pleasant (casual). This location has only been open 6 months and still feels new and welcoming with comfortably spaced tables, beautiful chandeliers, etc.
To cut to the food, the fish and chips were outstanding. I personally prefer my chips slightly thinner, but they were fresh cut and prepared correctly. The fish (I had cod, but you can choose haddock) was cooked perfectly. Crispy brown outside, moist and plump inside. It comes with a smashed pea puree. The lunch special includes fish and chips with a beverage included (soda or half pint of beer).
My wife had a steak pie which was freshly prepared and delicious.
The staff is friendly and attentive. Elton is a great guy and will answer all your questions.
We'll be back!!!
Best local food we've had in London until now.
Specially recommend the goat cheese pie.
Service was top notch too.
What a lovely find, a cosy authentic fish and chips restaurant reasonably priced. Most of all amazing accommodating service from the staff. The fish size was large with trimming including avacado salad. Large cut chips. The menu includes lots of seafood option. Will definitely be back. I really liked the ambiance.
Wanted to get fish and chips for lunch and we googled this restaurant with high reviews. The staff was friendly and very helpful and the food was excellent.
We had the chance to experience a very nice dinner at this restaurant. The waiter was energetic, friendly and welcoming which made the service enjoyable throughout the meal. However, it took close to 45 minutes before we got our food even though the restaurant wasn't that crowded. We did go 1h before the closing time so it might be a reason for the slow service. The atmosphere was enjoyable also, calm and nice decor. The food tasted great. The seafood pasta had a rich and flavourful sauce that complemented the pasta that was cooked to a great texture. The baby squid that was served with the pasta was also fresh and it was a great change in texture. I was a bit disappointed that the seafood pasta was only served with squid however. I was hoping for a larger variety of seafood. They offer a wide variety of fish and chips that I would have loved to try but we stuck with the cod one and it was great. The fish wasn't overcooked so it was tender while the batter on the exterior was crunchy which complemented each other very well. The tartare sauce that was served with the food also tasted great and added a nice layer of depth to the dish.
The grilled fish are so yummy and the mashed grean peas are marvellous. The price is also reasonable.
Food is decent but not spectacular. Cod fish in batter was not that well flavoured, lacking salt. Salad served as sides to calamari and scampi was fresh. Chips were ok, maybe a little undercooked, was hoping for softer chips. Having said all that, the service was spectacular - Debbie was the only person behind the counter, she was very welcoming, attentive and kind. We need more service people like her in the world! As she was the only person, I’m sure it got tougher later on when there were more people, so if management is reading this, you should look into this as it seems unfair.
