Visited this place recently for lunch. To my surprise, they gave us lentils soup, naan bread and Iraqi tea with baklava as complimentary and they were really good. We ordered grilled fish and falafel which were worth the quantity, quality and price. Our server was good too, he explained us everything about iraqi food.
Ya Hela is a restaurant in Kingsbury which is a bit far from central London and maybe because of that hardly people speak of this place. These people serve one of the most delicious and tender lamb.
I order lamb quizi neck and was surprised with what things I was offered. The serving starts with a bowl of lentil soup for each person on the table with a huge naan bread (and both these are unlimited). Then you get salad, pickles, sour cream, hummus, 2 veggie stews, a huge potion of rice and a delicious, perfectly cooked lamb which just falls off the bone. I have tried many other dishes over here chicken, koftas etc which are equally good but their main course is such a wholesome and delicious meal. Also it is such great value for money!
In the end you get complimentary black tea and baklava as well.
For the lamb quizi neck I paid £15 and the images would speak for the description of food.
