A compact modern bar on the edge of Spitafield's market, the Merchant and Weaver is fun and welcoming. Plenty of pizza and all the rest if you have a hunger. Service is quick and friendly. Plenty of keg beers and ciders to keep us lubricated. There is also a large covered outside area towards the rear of the bar forming a connection with the market itself. All good.

Walking around randomly I got attracted to this place by how it look from the outside and I’ve never been so glad of doing that.
The staff is friendly and service is fast, music is very good and they have a nice beer selection (despite not having any craft beers or local ones) and a very good choice of wines and drinks that I might try next time. The food has been of my favourites around London, combined with the set up of the place plus the other points makes this one of my favourite places. Can’t rate this higher enough, for sure I’ll be back and I recommend it!
What a great find! We had an awesome time here out of the blazing sun but in their lovely terrace in Spitalfields market with the dog- who the staff doted upon. The cocktails were superb and even better happy hour before 7pm! Food was delicious too- a few twists to the usual pub grub. We enjoyed the pork belly and skate- really great flavours!
The most friendly staff I think you'll find in this area! What a breath of fresh air. Great vibes, good level of music so you can still talk to your friends, surprised it wasn't busier! Keep doing what you're doing!

Went on a Monday and they were only serving pizzas, which were buy one get one free, so great offer. The pizzas were really good and the service was good. Would definitely go again.
Sadly not doing food, but had some excellent cocktails. Slightly odd mix of clientele but friendly enough. Great and helpful bar staff.
Really good food, looks like the chef makes a huge effort to please the customers and that everything is made on site including the pie crust. Very popular place considering it was only a Wednesday

Highly recommend here for great vibes & service. The bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable. The vibe here is relaxing and comforting. They have a large drink selection and also serve food!

Found this quiet spot in the busy Spitalfields Market.
Food sounded interesting so we gave it a try, sea bass and full English.
Obviously top quality ingredients put together and prepared by a chef. Definately a step up from many pubs and restaurants.
Popped in for a quick drink on the way to Brick Lane. Relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff.
We stumbled on this lovely place and enjoyed their 2 for 1 cocktails. They were great! (Mon-Thu only).
We went back later the week as well.
Went for a Sunday Roast with a few friends. All I can say is you need to get yourself down there. You will not be disappointed. The food, the service, the atmosphere- incredible
