Popped into the Ox to watch the Women's world cup final. Although the result didn't go the way I wanted, going to the Ox was a great result. It's been a few years since I've been there but they've found a chef that can cook, a bar manager that can both serve a decent pint and smile. Prices were reasonable, so I'll definitely be back there in the not too distant future.
Work friends and I come here sometimes after a long day at work. I had a burger last time and it was actually decent, I was obsessed w the skin on chips. Btw the whole plate cost me £9.99 which isn't bad at all!
Went here for drinks. Very friendly staff and has decent areas to park. They have changed their menu so we had the 10th chicken wings with 3 sauces: Franks hot sauce, Alabama white bbq sauce (best) and garlic & rosemary which was funky to say the least.
Good food and a friendly atmosphere, came for working lunch and was pleasantly surprised that the drinks were very well priced and the food spot on . Many thanks!

Honesty, such cool people working here, great time & prices are very fair for what you get! Best pub I’ve been too! (Over a billion pubs I’ve already been) the fact I’m doing a review on this pub says itself that it’s worth for a good review! If you’re looking for good pub then this is the best place!!! Was Feeling very low not been able to walk with my inflamed foot when my friend check in on me and persuaded me to go out for lunch we thought we try out the food in the ox and gate we were very pleased with the the very warm welcome we got when we arrived even more pleased with the delicious food we were served
We had a very enjoyable lunch Chicken salad and chips
I am looking forward to our next meal there

Good pub.. decent drinks!.. they have amazing food .. my personal fav is their pizza !! .. they have outdoor seating as well as indoor seating !.. has a pool table inside and some games machine .. goood to just catch one beer here !

Brilliant place. Always end up going to this pub literally every Friday. We actually don't need to tell the bartender for our drinks as he always know what we need. Place is very good and spacious for everyone. There is outdoor seating area. You can watch any sport that show up on sky sports. Staff are very friendly and very good at making conversation. Best pint you will have in your life. I would recommend everyone to visit this place and you won't be wrong.
