Visited this place for Sunday roast! Firstly we booked a table and when entered there were no one to greet us or welcome us. We were waiting at the front for roughly 5 minutes until we used a bell at the counter to catch some attention! However once someone did approach us, the service was great! I ordered the lamb shank roast and it was packed full of flavour! Yes it does look good but the flavour was definitely matched! I also ordered the loaded fries which were nice and flavoursome, additionally I ordered mock tail which was very different and enjoyable. The menu has a range to choose from. The service was great! The atmosphere was ok, it could visually be neater however that’s just my opinion. Yes the price is steep so decent for a treat/occasion. Overall I would recommend this place, worth visiting again just not anytime soon. 9/10!

Really lovely place and service! Halal fine dining at its best. I really do believe the prices are fair given the taste and quality of food served. I brought my husband here , he is usually a very fussy eater but he thoroughly enjoyed his meal. We ordered the short ribs and lamb shank- both packed with flavour Staff were very friendly and welcoming too. Toilets were nice and clean which were a plus

Amazing halal Sunday roast and burgers. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. The desserts are amazing too. Its a must visit if you are looking for a good halal Sunday roast. Service is good as well but it would be great if the management can make an effort to make sure their toilets are clean and usable

I went for dinner with the intention of trying the Beef Wellington, but, unfortunately, it was sold out. So, I opted for the fillet steak as my main course, which was delicious and cooked precisely medium rare as I requested. However, it was a bit pricey for what I received. The appetizer, scallops and prawns, was somewhat salty, and the plating was a bit uninspiring. On the other hand, my wife had the roasted dinner, which had better presentation and was also delicious. If you plan to visit, be sure to inform them in advance if you're expecting the Wellington to avoid disappointment.

After you pass the bar, you arrive a a surprising spacious and warming seating area. Went with wife and toddler, had highchair too. Tables nicely spread out with attentive staff. Food was delicious, would definitely return again for a fancy meal. They were kind enough to facilitate space for prayer too.

Echoing most of the reviews here, and after having food at the Great Chase, this place really is a culinary delight in the heart of East London. A Sunday roast dinner offered on any day of the week, gorgeously presented food and equally tasty. Will definitely return to try the steaks and brunch menu. A total halal experience with a dry bar and no music playing. I tried the red juice which was refreshing, the lamb shank roast dinner and a mille feuilles for dessert. Stunning! The only thing I didn’t love was the baboon fries, which is the loaded fries with sauce, onions and pieces of lamb. The flavours were not really doing it for me, especially for £9. Felt really looked after by the staff. They also offer a space for salah.

By far one of the best restaurants I’ve visited. The roast was absolutely amazing, couldn’t fault it. The mocktail was made to perfection. Unfortunately we didn’t get the waiters name but he was really lovely, very attentive and made sure everything was perfect for us. It was lovely to see how passionate he was about the restaurant and it’s food. It was also really beautiful walking in and hearing just nasheeds being played.

We ordered the Sunday roasts - the chicken, beef sirloin and lamb shank and the chicken and beef were sooo good! The lamb shank was not as good but still nice. We also ordered desserts - chocolate fondant, tiramisu which were nice also. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Amazing food! We ordered the BBQ chicken for starter, chicken roast, and sirloin steak with butter. The BBQ chicken was spicy and sour, we liked it. The chicken roast was really good, flavours were great and vegetables were cooked well. The steak was oookay, it wasn’t amazing. For dessert, we had the apple crumble and chocolate fondant. Both of them tasted great, no faults and the portion size was good. For drinks, we ordered a virgin mojito and raspberry fizz. Looking at the menu, it’s clear to see they really are non-alcoholic cocktails so they’re supposed to taste like alcohol I guess. I don’t like those kind of drinks and obviously not used to that cos we’re Muslim. The server was great though, we had Paolo and when he came to ask how the drinks were, we said it’s a bit bitter. He offered to change it and he made me a raspberry drink from scratch that was really nice and sweet, it tasted like sour candy. They should have some sweet, fruity options in the mocktails section. Servers were really helpful. Ambience was great – they were playing Quran recitations and nasheed. Food is all halal. Would go again – brunch menu looks good.

The best roast I have had. The chicken breast roast was recommended and I was extremely impressed with it. So juicy yet a crispy exterior. We also had the beef sirloin with was so soft. 4 stars because the drinks were not great unfortunately. Due to it being non-alcoholic, I think they tried to recreate popular alcoholic drinks which do not fit the palette of non drinkers having never tasted alcohol. Smoothie was great but I think simpler mocktails would better suit the menu Fully halal, no alcohol, pram friendly as there's a lot of space. Parking available on the same road but do check restrictions as Sunday is NOT free parking.

Went for the beef wellington but alas they ran out 😑 wish I read the review prior 😀 went on a Sunday so it was only right to have a roast...got the sirloin/lamb shank roast...both presented/tasted very nice...I have heard people say it is a bit pricey...for the portion of the baboon fries/the desserts I'd have to agree...there was gaps in the service as in there was times where we had to wait a little longer but they were pretty busy...did have to go up & pay after I asked for the bill twice but these are minor things...overall a pleasant experience & will defo be back for that wellington...

I found this place by chance when looking for a restaurant near East London mosque. It's where band of burgers used to be. The service was so nice and chill. The food took me by surprise. The lamb shank roast was soo good. I later read that the chef is from The Great Chase, which do incredible food, so I'm definitely coming back.
